Delicious food, great atmosphere and good service but quantity of food should be a little more.

Great find, service was attentive and knowledgeable and food was top class. Roti was soft, flakey, and fresh. Curries were well balanced and decent serves. Loved it and highly recommended.

Authentic Singapore/Malaysia style hawker food. Some may criticise but it was great for me. I loved the food.
The atmosphere was poisoned by a pair of wine drinking food snobs who were looking to find fault with everything. This is a "hawker" food restaurant, don't expect a fine dining experience!
I will definitely be revisiting as the staff are lovely and I loved the food offerings.

It's definitely got a nice atmosphere than the other local Malaysian restaurants but I assume they are having some teething issues. The food was decent but not as good as others which is tough when you have 3 other good Malaysian restaurants in the vicinity. The service although friendly got our order wrong, and then subsequently our bill. The dishes to get there are probably the belachan chicken wings and ramly burger as you can't get them anywhere else.

Top quality food, venue and service. I’d say their Laksa was the best I had in Melbourne and their Roti and Sambal eggplant was amazing too. Definitely will return to try out other items on their menu!

Didnt know this place moved although still in the same vicinity. I like the new look, the tables with the windows on the side makes it feel old school. Tried their beef rendang nasi lemak and the portion was not big. While I like their mix of pickled veggie and rendang was nice, they were a bit stingy with the sambal sauce. Also tried ramly burger which didnt know what it was, it was like an omelette burger. It was rather sweet, but mild taste in general. Their sakurambo tea was beautiful, you should try it, very fragrant, and now wanting to buy a bag of that tea. Also tried pandan crepe that was filled with dessicated coconut and sugar, came with a small scoop of ice cream. It was just ok. Overall it’s an ok place to go to.

We didn’t have the opportunity to visit Junior Tan Hawker Kitchen when they were still at Mountain High Shopping Centre, but it was a joy to visit and support them at their new venue. We opted for one of our favourites: Salted Egg Chicken Ribs, which was wonderfully crunchy, breaded throughout with salted egg flavour, and always so indulgently tasty. For warm greens, we had the Kunkong with spicy shrimp paste, which seemed wok-tossed and remained crunchy and fresh. We also had the Nasi Lemak, which had a two pieces of chicken curry, a large side of rice, half a boiled egg, pickled vegetables, peanuts, and fried anchovies. The serve was generous and delicious! For dessert, we had the Sago Pudding. The sago swam in a thick pudding of coconut, topped with a scoop of delightful mango ice cream, and some blueberries. It was light and just the right amount of sweetness to top a very satisfying lunch.

We love the menu and how easy it was to pick food, as it pointed out crowd favourites. Service was quick for the mains, but we had to wait a while for dessert to arrive as it got increasingly busy after 12pm on a Sunday. It was absolutely bustling by the time we left closer to 1pm. There was more space at the back, but this place has always been a local favourite, and continues to be the go-to for family get-togethers.

It was a great experience after their recent relocation, and we’ll definitely be back for more!

Wonderful food, service, atmosphere. Best dish is the Chicken Laksa, I've stopped eating them elsewhere as none have compared.

Been to the old restaurant and the new and both are just as good as each other. Best food in town!

My wife and I have been there several times and were quite happy travelling from Cranbourne for their meals. Today we went there and the meals were smaller and watered down. My wife asked for chilli and only received approximately 4 pieces. I asked for another lot and they charged us $0.20, in total this was still not a normal serving from the other restaurants we go to. Some restaurants we go to you help yourself to as much as you want. Others will give you as much as you require as part of the meal. When I paid I made the comment regarding the chilli and was told all restaurants charge for chilli. Amazing as this is the first we have been charged for it.

Another bad experience here.
Ordered Satay Skewers 4pcs for $8.50 and Nasi Lemak chicken $14.90.
Very disappointed. Chicken skewers were a joke very very very small portion. Felt like it was made from left over pieces of chicken and the size of the chicken skewers was pathetic. Chicken Nasi lemak curry came with two bite size chicken and one bite size potato which was absolutely shocking. Curry sauce was very less and was very blend, once you mix it with rice you dont taste anything but rice. Atleast give decent size chicken pieces. I wouldn't be going here again. What a waste of money. Staff was nice and attentive.

Bad. Got food poisoning from this place. Unless you want to get very, very sick, I would avoid.

Always a great night out at Junior Tans. Once again the place was busy which adds to the inviting decor making you wanting to start perusing the menu. From the vegetarian spring rolls to the beef rang dang and the accompanying Gin & Tonics, we departed extremely satusfied.

The food was normal with good ingredients.

Chicken Laksa was not what I expected, the chicken was not fresh.

The other food was very good but a bit high price for the portion.

Roti bread was very good.

Eaten at Junior Tan a couple of times recently. Tasty food and a good choice. Laksa and pepper beef was really good, Singapore noodles were ok but had better elsewhere locally. San choi bao was nice bit tiny, only 2 small pieces of lettuce and a spoon-full of filling, but pork dumplings were great. Beef rendang with roti was excellent and the braised pork belly was pretty good. So all-in-all generally good food, with some items better than others. First time sat at a the high tables near the front which was good, second time at the back in the low ceiling area which was really loud and echoey with lots of people in there, so not condusive to conversation.

Always a treat coming here, and judging by the number of reviews, I'm not the only one who thinks so too! Lots of yummy dishes to try, I always want to try something different each time. Service is great and the aesthetics and mood of the restaurant is wonderful.

The food was incredible, the staff were really wonderful, and the overall experience was great.but I could not get over the fact that it was so incredibly narrow in there and that there's only one toilet. I hope that they grow enough to move to a larger property, they deserve that success!
