Juliana's Cucina & Bar

Three of us went to juliana's tonight at 7.10 for dinner. Our lovely server was Marima. I had 2 paddocks Pinot Noir that was lovely. Ordered the Rocket salad with pear and manuka honey. Plentiful and yummy. Also ordered the Spaghettini and fish. My salad was $18. The other 2 dishes were $40 each. The place was buzzing. Loved it!

I suggested my young son to book your restaurant for a birthday dinner with his friends (hadn't even eaten there myself yet!) He had to pay a $210 deposit just to reserve a table. As he had made numerous enquiries during the week for a couple restaurants trying to get in somewhere for the night, he received an email advising that the booking could not be fulfilled, he mistakenly thought the email was from your restaurant so therefore booked elsewhere. Even though he phoned the restaurant to explain the situation (less than 2 days after the booking was made, and before the reservation time) he was still charged the $210 and refused even a credit for another evening! What poor customer service for an honest mistake. I'm sure your small table would have been filled again in an instant, all while taking the poor kids money for nothing.

2nd time here, and just as fabulous as our first visit. Food is excellent, and a generous size. Wait staff were a little bit overrun waiting several tables so we had to grab their attention at times but overall a wonderful night again at one of the restaurants in Moonee Ponds.

When we arrived the tables had to be moved to allow me sit down…. Far too close together. Food was average but hit and miss. Steak tartare was bland. Risotto absolutely delicious. My fish was way over cooked and the bisque sauce tasteless. The fries were really good as was the service. Would I go back? Probably not there’s better options in Moonee ponds and quite expensive for what we got.

Can confirm this dining experience did not disappoint! Such a little hidden gem in Moonee Ponds. We ordered the Fries (to die for), Artichokes, Chat Potatoes, Spaghettini, Risotto and Vodka Pasta. Food was quality, the decor is exceptional and service was 10/10.

My boyfriend and I dined here for my birthday. The atmosphere was cosy, the food was delicious and better yet the staff was so so lovely! They went above and beyond with service and made my night extra special for my birthday. Thank you to the staff at Julianna’s we will definitely be returning customers.

Came in as a walk in, place was completely empty and they only offered us bar stool seats at the bar…. 0/10 customer service

Thought the place is small, I had a fab time on my birthday with family & friends. Atmosphere is nice with really good restaurant & bar vibe with music. Food was delicious & the wine was great. On top the staff are incredible. The waitress who served our table was a gem, she is so attentive & we never had to ask to request to top up our wine glasses. Friendly & so approachable when made enquiries on the drinks menu & shared food options. Will go again.

We were treated to impeccable service in a friendly environment. The dishes were absolutely delicious. Thank you to management for their complimentary dessert treat acknowledging our special occasion. ️

We had such a lovely experience here. Food was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had beautiful evening for our anniversary!

Intimate yet lively atmosphere. Great to have a good Italian restaurant in the area. Food was great. Jacob made us feel very welcome. Wait staff were friendly and professional. Nice touch to have a live crooner entertain us after dinner.

We will definitely be back!

I could not have asked for a better Birthday lunch - it was truly magnificent. Apart from the fact that they no longer do lunch service on a Saturday, they still honoured my booking and opened just for me, how accomodating is that! The decor, ambiance and service is superb but the food is even better! Being Italian and having wonderful cooks for parents, I don’t often go out to eat Italian food, but Juliana’s is my new exception. You must try the pancetta oysters for entree and the artichokes as a side, they were exceptional. Thank you for such a memorable experience, I will definitely be back - I might even bring the Italian parents, as I’m sure they’d be just as impressed as I was!

Lovely, homely food. Calamari was a standout. Good drinks and a nice vibe. Staff were attentive and kind, will definitely come back soon:)

Loved the decor and ambience. Food (fillet steak) medium rare cooked to perfection. Waiter friendly and efficient with knowledge of food and wines. Attentive and alert. Chocolate mousse rich and tasty. Harvey wallbanger well made.

Excellent food and service. This restaurant gives multiple options in both traditional and modern Italian cuisine. The chef team are very creative and definitely provide a very colourful and pretty plate on every order with multiple flavours to match.

Front of house is also very attentive and has a strong knowledge of wine and beverage pairing with dishes. Not to mention excellent service all round.

Living in the east, I would still be more than happy to drive across town to eat here again.

Service was notably good and welcoming. On a Friday lunch time in January, as expected for the time of year, it was a little quiet in the restaurant. The menu covers all the usual suspects with a good list of antipasti, small dishes, pasta/risotto offerings, mains and desserts. It was nice to see so many Italian wine varietals and actual Italian wines included on the wine list. The atmosphere of the dining area is really something else, great vibe, great music, excellent ambience. We enjoyed our meal here and were even tempted to try dessert, which we rarely do. We liked Julianas Cucina & Bar very much and will happily return.

Slightly frosty reception from front of house but the owner/manager warms up once you’re seated. They’ve got all the Italian classics and the tightly curated wine list is spot on. I look forward to coming here again once the restaurant is a bit more established

Lovely venue, attentive staff and a great vibe - nice quiet setting for dinner and then after 9pm - very lively, but incredibly loud!
A fun atmosphere though. If you want quiet drinks after your meal, I suggest going to one of the wine bars in the area.

As for food, it was nice but not amazing.
As a group of 3, we had entree, main, dessert & cocktails - we all had something different, but not one meal was a stand-out!
And, please remove the shell from crab - it’s very difficult to pick out in a pasta.
