Juicy Dumplings On Chapel

Ordered this on UberEats so it was a little cold when it arrived but reheated well and tasted delicious. What a novelty to find gluten-free dumplings! I will definitely be ordering again.

I paid $30 bucks for sour chicken and steam rice. The chicken was full of oil. The food isn’t that’s great and it doesn’t test that good for that price. Won’t come back

Avoid this place. We had already been here once and thought we would give it another go as restaurants have bad nights but I was so wrong. We should never have gone back.

We had to take the plates up and clean the table ourselves. Spray and wipe.
Asked for water totally forgotten about.
We ordered 2 dishes then close to 10 minutes later ordered another 2 dishes.
We got one from each order.
I asked the waitress where the spring onion pancake was, she said she will find out. The the other waitress came out asked what was still to come, we told her what was left.
Then after everything was eaten the first waitress came out with another pancake which she had already seen and when we told her it was already eaten she said have you paid, I said yes and she said I'll check. So we waited nothing happened so I went in and it was like she didn't even remember anything that had happened.
The juicy dumplings had no juice at all. The spring onion pancake and wontons were so oily it was not funny.all the dumplings are frozen you can see them when you order.
Please if you want good dumplings go to Toorak Road - Punt Road end and you won't be disappointed.
If you don't know anything about food you will probably like this place.

Would only recommend this place if you are really sure you are not hungry. The restaurant lost or misplaced the order not just once, not twice but 3 times and we waited for almost exactly an hour before all 4 of us received the food.

In addition, I had to create an account and register before I could order food. Never come across that anywhere else.

Service was not good. Communication is poor and unclear, very little willingness to rectify errors. It was very quiet when we went and it still took a while. Ordered with someone else and food came out at very different times and wasnt the right order. Pan fried dumplings were tasty, but dumpling skin was quite thick. Shanghai dumplings didnt have a lot of soup, ok filling and skin was too thick. I didnt enjoy my experience here.

The team member could not speak English. I asked for home delivery option and she said yes. (not sure now what she was saying yes to) but never took payment options and hung up. I called back and asked to speak to a. Manager and he has no English either so they are making an order I am not picking up!

I am a big fan of the dumplings served here. You can watch them being made in the window but best of all you can eat in then ask for a take away container because if you are like me you will order enough for two meals. Great choices and all are delicious.

I want to say a positive comment first. The chicken satay was actually really nice. The rest was pretty average. We ordered a greens with mushroom dish. And they came out with a completely different dish than in the photo. When we commented the lady just said we changed the vegetables but it's the same. And it was nothing like what we ordered. Would not be in a rush to return

They had amazing service! The meal was delicious and they were very hospitable, and let us borrow a phone charger thanks!

Worst experience ever! I order chicken dumplings but when I ate one, I realised that the dumplings have prawns, not only chicken. In the menu didn't say the chicken dumpling has prawn and when I asked to the staff, thinking it was a mistake, they said me that the chicken dumpling is with prawns. I am have allergy to prawns and I can have anaphylactic shock because of that. It is really important for a restaurant have a details of the ingredients in its menu. The restaurant was negligent and the staff didn't care the seriousness of what happened. DON'T TRUST THEM ABOUT THE FOOD AND IT'S INGREDIENTS

Omg. I always ordered this yummy prawn dumplings every week. But today failed my expectations.
I ordered this afternoon by Uber around 3: 00pm. You should automatically send use the soy and oil chillies. But today is nothing. Please be proactive. Thanks

If I could post 0 stars or less I would. Portions were tiny, I ordered sweet and sour chicken, no rice, extra chicken and no veggies and what came out was a plate with 7 tiny miserable bits of chicken. My partner ordered a Curry Laksa and it came out cold, soggy and was flavourless. All this after leaving a tip. Will NOT be returning here.

Tasty gluten free dumplings. The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired, but it's good for takeaway.

Hands down best veggie dumplings in melbourne! I used to live near here which is how i found them but moved to the other side of town and i travel and hour on public transport just to eat their dumplings.

The dumplings there is good! Yami! Juicy! And i also like the soup with corn and chicken, i would try some chinese cuisine next time!

Amazing gluten free dumplings!

I was pleasantly surprised at the gluten free dumplings - they are slightly tougher pastry than wheat dumplings but still incredibly enjoyable and tasty.

I really like how this tests has a non GMO menu and state they use olive oil - this is a huge plus for me! I hope more restaurants will become more transparent like this about what ingredients they use

Mongolian beef was very tasty and peace of mind knowing it was cooked with olive oil.

Only critique is the order took quite some time to come out and I felt like they forgot about our order at one point. They were very busy though. Also would have liked some serviettes but could not find any

Never have I ever ordered xiao long bao and it comes out on a ceramic plate instead of a bamboo steamer. To top things off, they were all split.

Overpriced menu items only to receive underwhelming portions. Don't expect the atmosphere or service to make up for it either, both left a lot to be desired. No chilli at any of the tables, just chilli oil with a couple of flakes floating around if you're lucky.

I regret not choosing any other dumpling place on Chapel Street.

If I could give 0 I would. Xaio long bao on a ceramic plate with the majority split is truely a first for me. $19.80 honey chicken with 15 small pieces left me shocked. I’ve never left a review before, but I’ve also never been this ripped off. Don’t waste your money.

Very disappointed with Kung bao chicken that I bought from this place. The chicken and the sauce were very salty. It was very different to what I had in the past. I think the Chef might have been changed.
