Journey Early Learning Centre - Wallan - Enrol for 2020 Now!

There were a lot of fun times and unforgettable moments at Journey Wallan.
My child will remember it as his home childcare. Lots of love and care received from every staff member.

My child has been attending journey wallan for the last 2 years in the kindergarten program. She has grown with confidence and self awareness during this time and we attribute this to the loving supportive staff who support her each day.
And the foods amazing!

I really like our wallan journey centre. The educators in all the rooms (we had nursery through to kinder) have all been caring, well educated in child development and genuinely enjoy interacting with my children. They are very quick to identify and accommodate each child's needs based on their personalities and interests, and have been really helpful communicating any things of note to us.
The activities are always interesting, they do lots of excursions to local parks, shops and community sites, and in kinder they also run sport programs and bush kinder classes.
The admin staff are always open and friendly, and despite sometimes getting several calls about changing days, forgotten items or medical questions, (sometimes all in one day) have always been polite and helpful.
The food Chef James makes is delicious, interesting and nutritious. He also really enjoys working with the kids and frequently runs cooking classes and has supervised "helpers" during daily cooking and cleaning - wonderful for developing food prep skills and healthy eating habits early.
I consistently recommend journey to anyone looking for a great centre, the only problem is getting in. They are so good you have to enroll when pregnant to get a spot if you need nursery care - so heads up if you're considering them:)

I cannot recommend Journey in Wallan enough. Amazing educators, friendly and most of all very nurturing. My little one is so happy when I drop him off and pick him up

Journey early learning is an amazing childcare centre with excellent facilities and staff. I wouldn’t rather my child go anywhere else:)

Would highly recommend this child care centre. My child has attended this centre for a couple of years now and I couldn't be more happier sending my child here. I believe the educators have had a big influence of my child's learning and development. All educators are very kind and caring and always look at each individual child's needs. Dustin always comes home with a smile on his face.

Professional, Friendly Educators!

Being a student I did my placements at this centre, first placement and practical experience and a lot of learning was made so easy with all the educators, who connect absolutely amazing with children & developing their various skills.guide me in doing various tasks. Babies room mentors & kinder we’re fantastic. On last day, could not find Cathy & Brooke, so I didn’t got a chance to say good bye.
But, thank you so much for the lovely experience You guys are doing great work.

Fantastic educators who actively welcome parent input and include child interest into their programs.

When I was looking for a centre for my daughter I viewed all the ones in Wallan while they all seemed nice I instantly felt a connection with Journey and so did my daughter she walked straight up to and educator sat her self down on her lap and began playing with her. I instantly know that’s where I wanted my daughter attending. We have been attending the centre for a few months now and love it. My daughter loves going and gets her bag and drags you to the door on the days she knows she attends the educators in her room have beer fantastic and my daughter has made strong connections with them all however 2 educators that she gravitates to more so. They always make sure they great her when she arrives and gets her engaged with play so that drop offs go smoothly:) they go above and beyond when my daughter is not well and follow up on how she is even when it’s not her day of care that day, this to me speaks volumes that they take the time to check up on her and make sure she is doing ok.

My grandson attends the Journey Wallan and he has received such great care since day one. The staff are friendly and inviting and management/ reception always go that extra mile when I need assisting. Would not want my grandson to go anywhere else!

Journey Wallan has been the best centre for my neices.
Unfortunatly they have had many issues at other centres though when they started with Journey they settled in and felt at home instantly.
The staff are all very friendly and professional within there everyday communications with families.
I appreciate that they are so welcoming and attentive to the children's needs and the connections they have with all of us. I am always greeted by name and feel at ease when dropping the girls off here.
I have recommended this service to other families based on the experiences we have had here.
I would like to just to thank all the educators, administration and management for the great experience with this centre.

I currently have 3 kids at the centre, in 3 different rooms and we are very pleased with the level of care given each day, especially the way the educators and management have handled business throughout a pandemic, they are constantly revising their protocols and bringing in extra levels of hygiene procedures in order to keep everyone safe.the educators have all formed such a special bond and my children speak volumes for their hard work and dedication.management are so lovely and easy to work with, extremely accomodating.the centre itself is new and fresh, very neutral, modern and plenty of natural light.the outdoor areas are amazing the kids love going outside to play, especially with the large sheltered area which enables them to get some fresh air all year round. I would highly recommend this centre for anyone looking for care in the wallan area you will not be disappointed, cannot speak highly enough! Particularly for the kinder program, the educators have been so helpful in getting my daughter and myself ready for school, being a new experience and completely foreign these ladies give as much time needed to answer all questions and are very proactive in giving out relevant information and liaising with the schools in order to make the transition as smooth as possible, very thankful.

I can not thank Journey wallan enough for the care they provide my son every day! The second you walk in the doors you are greeted by such bubbly management and you automatically feel relaxed. We have been at journey for almost a year now and I would highly reccomend them to anyone looking for exceptional care. All educators are amazing at their jobs and you can see the quality care they provide all children. Thank you so much to each and everyone that works here, I wouldn't be able to work without you all!

My son has been attending Journey for almost a year and half. I can’t speak highly enough of the educators there! So many of these ladies have been amazing, supportive and informative to both myself and my son. I know when I leave my son at daycare there are people there that genuinely care about him and his well being. He has built great bonds with many of the educators and loves them! The centre manager has continued to be supportive whether it’s just a quick chat at drop off or being as flexible as she can with bookings, she is always great! Journey has a great community feel and I’m glad we chose them!

Misleading information provided about the breakfast menu which left hubby and I questioning what else on the menu is being advertised and not provided. When I raised this with head office, a response I received from the manager was "what do you expect me to do about it? " This discrepancy is not good enough when working with kids with allergies.

A day later the position given to one of our kids was given to another family already attending the center. To us, this highlighted both poor management and lack of empathy. Especially after I clearly expressed to the manager i would return the forms on Thursday during the orientation of our children (3 days time) because my father had been taken to ICU that day. When I expressed my disappointment the center manager unsympathetically said, "I told you the position was never yours until you handed the forms in. " When I reminded her about my father ICU and my promise to have them to her during orientation her answer was, "Existing families get preference. "

Clean daycare, staff were caring and activities displayed look great.

But, given the way we have been treated and spoken to by two levels of management, our children will most definately not be attending should more days become available.

Absolutely love this centre. My son has a great time at Journey. The staff are fantastic and the centre manager is supportive and easy very to approach. Its like a big family. I highly recommend.

Amazing centre
My daughter looks forward to going every week. The staff are so friendly and make my daughter feel safe and secure. They also communicate daily with me with Lots of great stories from the day.
The centre is very clean with great resources and a beautiful outdoor space to play. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Journey to my friend's and family.
