This company is horrible. No remorse to the committed employees at all. They just like to think for themselves. Cant wait to see the staff turnover constantly occurring in the future. If you ever think about hiring this company as your supplier, run theres other company out there that treat people well and not horribly. They don't treat you like a real person.

Additional: We have just been informed that, "damages are not the result of bad workmanship". WE ARE BEYOND FURIOUS. We have quotes of around $10,000 to repair the damages caused by the non-reconnection of the pool plumbing. See my original review for some more of this debacle. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

So bad I don't even know where to start. Interior work was sloppy, plaster splashes on the walls and paint drops on the floor. I was informed this was "to standard". They used the thin plastic sheets on the floor as "protection", so the floorboards are now scratched from tools and ladders. Clean-up was not allocated adequate time, so the bulk of it was left to us (plaster dust everywhere). We are still finding their rubbish outside. There is so much more I can add here.
While we were initially happy with the work done on the roof, two major problems have appeared. The roof now extends into the gutters, to the extent that it is extremely difficult to clean the gutters and we may need to replace them.
The pool solar heating was disconnected during the repair and not re-connected. The result was having thousands of litres of water runs down the side of the house, washing away the soil underneath. The level of the pool dropped below the filter box and the pool pump sucked air until it burnt out.
We did not sign off on any of the work.
Johns Lyng has been aware of these issues (interior over a year, exterior for seven months) and nothing has been done.
I want these issues addressed, but given the quality of their work, I don't want their people anywhere near my house.

Intentionally trying to rip off their customers.
Wait times of over 6 months to solve a small problem, with constantly changing quotes to suit them.
They have reused the same quote from another claim for me as found by copy/pasted text not related to my property (they hadn't even seen mine), meaning they are leaking sensitive information and breaching the privacy of their customers.
Very poor. They really want to make it so difficult to make a claim that you just pay for it yourself

I wish there was a zero or a negative here, they are complaining that works were stopped for 15-20 mins because I had to drop off my kids to school, and I should have provided a notification of this earlier so that they could have managed other works.
I have been delayed for over 12 months, due to poor planning from John Lyng Group, and now they are complaining about my 15-20 mins of stoppage of work caused because of us to drop my kids. This is not fair.

There was a lack of communication, planning was not the best, I had to follow up multiple times tradesmen that would not show up. Project Manager was difficult to be contacted, sometimes he would not return calls. Simply said not the best to deal with.

Pete the plasterer was my saving grace, after a rocky start with my insurance claim. Pete saved the day, he is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. He cleaned up so well I didn’t even know he had been. Thank you Pete for a job well done and a very pleasant interaction indeed.

Recommend the Johns Lyng Group. I have a great supervisor named Martin Firth who has been there for us all the way. Not always smooth as with anything, but if there's a problem it's fixed. Would deal with them again.

Communication is terrible between the assessors, tradies and office. They never seem to be on the same page and it is always a nightmare to chase the progress of a claim.

All round pleasure dealing with Johns Lyng. They have a young bloke by the name of Jack Maibaum working in the office. He just has this proactive approach to life and this positivity in his voice. The company and any company for the matter needs people like him to make clients and subcontractors feel safe. I just want to say thank you to Johns Lyng for assigning Jack to look after my business. Same issue with one of the users below. This company is used by GIO. The customer service, what a joke. Couldn't even find nor access the information that GIO provided to them when I made a claim, even though they messaged in the afternoon saying that someone will come over to assess the damage. What a lie. If they couldn't make it, why not call beforehand? When I asked to speak to management about escalating the problem and what they can do next, they did not give me an answer. Is it not part of the customer's right to ask? Do we not have a right to gain an answer? Do I not have a right make a complaint? If anyone knows of an insurance board I can post a complaint to (like AHPRA that manages health professionals), please let me know.

Johns Lyngs tradesmen were very professional and did an excellent job in fixing the house, the job was done on time and with the utmost care and professionalism. Very happy with the company and would recommend them anytime, thanks guys for a job well done.

Johns Lyng were given my Canberra Insurance Claim in September 2020. When I phoned the assessor in November 2020 to find out what was happening, was told that nothing had been done because the hailstorm in Queensland (some months after my damage) was taking priority. Finally, after starting down The Department of Fair Trading process the repairs were completed in February 2021,5 months after they were given the go ahead from the insurance company. Regularly failed to reply to emails and phone calls, outright lied to my insurance company about contacting me.

Took 4 months to remove damaged wood shed and rebuild. Every step of the way was a drama and very badly managed. The end result was great work but this was completed by contractors.

I wish i could give negative stars, this group is the definition of useless, unprofessional, rude and did I mention useless. The fact the client has to make a work schedule and not the project manager or site supervisor and consistently ring to get any sort of update is beyond a joke. Absolutely rubbish do not use if you have the choice!

Our engagement had its challenges when no work was being done. When escalated work progressed at a reasonable pace.
When we continued to have issues in the area affected by the flood we were told it was unrelated (despite them having already acknowledged it was related) and our case closed.
All they were interested in was closing the claim to get their money.
