Johanna Seaside Cottages reviews
16 Johanna Seaside Cottages, in 2022 comprise six top class accommodation facilities each with slightly different unique characteristics; all are within close walking distance to the beach and the facility's heated swimming pool.
The accommodation is on the Great Ocean Walk, allowing for many world standard heritage walking experiences in the region. Many well managed return day walks and shuttle walks are possible from Johanna.
Swimming from the beach is unsafe, although experienced board riders seem to enjoy the challenges. Long line fishing from the beach is also enjoyed by many.
Very comfortable and great views. Self service accommodation. This view is from Rivernook cottage.
Excellent accommodation, perfect in every way. Great location, beautiful views and enjoyed watching kangaroos feeding morning and dusk.
I cannot say enough nice things about this place. My partner booked a couple of nights away and I was excited to be near the beach but had no idea how magnificent the lodging would be. Nestled in the hillside overlooking the most beautiful valley. Light and noise pollution at an absolute minimum and the sound of the waves echoing through the clean air. A gorgeous cattle farm with a great farmhouse in the centre, hosting a fantastic heated pool and garden area. We stayed in Joanna cottage and it was first class. So much dry firewood and a most warm and cozy dwelling with views to dream of. Thank you so much for the amazing work gone into providing such a wonderful place to stay. It really is a magical area. I hope to be back.
Al always a very good place and in a beautiful set up. But this time I had one issue, the below attached photo, if the management can do something about it as it damaged two of my best jackets. It hooks on to the cloths when walking out. This is at the main entrance of Glen view.
Tucked away from the Great Ocean Road have access to beautiful beach. There are camping facilities available but need booking. Private property Fram House was a retreat for 2 families with little kids, who had fun in the chkn shed, veggie garden, BBQ. Rooms were cozy and neatly done. I wish they had centralised heating/cooling throughout, but then that's not what you expect at a farm house. Views from the farm house were spectacular.
One of the best pet friendly accommodation we have been to. Beautiful property, property walks excellent and beach access all year-round, a big plus in the ocean road
Very dissapointing stay, it's called seaside cottages, yet you cannot see the sea and its a good kilometer away from the ocean.
The house was fair condition. Unfortunately we were there on the coldest night recorded ever and had the wood heater and heat pump going and the house was absolutely freezing, with 3 little kids under 2 that was just not fun at night time.
Our eldest loved the garden and the chickens.
I would like to come back here in summer.
The reason I have only given it one star I the massive negative fact that there was exposed asbestos in two locations one being the fire / wood box, this is obviously not okay, please remove it, it's not that important to make money and not removing such a heath hazardous product.
I really liked the house and the paddock view.
Perhaps it should be renamed Johanna Farm House as that's really what it is.
Deceptive images online. We were expecting sea views but it was more like a farm stay. Kids loved the chooks and we had a pool to swim in but it was disappointing accomodation.
This was one of the most beautiful locations I’d ever stayed at, but what wowed is was the effort that they have out into making your stay comfortable and the cleanliness. The new tea towels, new oil, dishwashing detergent you name it, feels like no one else has stayed there before.
The view is simply amazing from Glen View cottage. I highly highly recommend staying here!
Beautiful view.
Dishes was not clean. The host was picky. Poor value. No customer service.
A very nice cottage with everything you expect. It was clean and so lovely. The view is amazing between the see and the land.
Beautiful location, the house was well kept and very clean. Great amenities. I would stay here again.
Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and set in a magnificent landscape. 3 cottages have sea views. Glen Tara, the one we stayed in, did not but the views of the vibrant green rolling hills and the sunshine hitting the sea spray was a delight.
Glen Tara is close to the beach and the Great Ocean Walk.
My only minor quibble is that care is needed in shower as one tap is plumbed in back to front.
Beautiful peaceful setting on a dairy farm in a beautiful Valley next to Otway National Park. Clean, comfortable cabins. Easy access to Johanna beach and The Great Ocean Walk. Highly recommended
Beautiful cottages in a beautiful setting. The photos do make the cottages look a lot more modern than they really are (furnishings are a bit old), but it was never really an issue. Great for small groups.and especially for your pet!
