Worst experience I’ve had in years. I ordered a drink via QR code and it didn’t arrive after 30 minutes. I went to the bar and asked where it was and was accused of drinking it already. The barman became quite aggressive and combative and was accusing me of being intoxicated and “lucky to be even served a drink. ” I was offered a refund and accepted. I felt intimidated and my 2 friends who were with me were upset by the experience. I don’t recommend this place for women - not safe.

Always a favourite. Drinks selection is pretty varied, courtyard is big and charming, they now have QR code ordering (though I think you can’t order wine by the glass that way). But otherwise no complaints.

Joe’s is the ultimate bar, always two fresh tap beers, & a cocktail list that will rival any, the chilli margarita is a ripper!

It’s the sort of place you can pop in for one on the way home from work or you can have a night out with awesome old skool tunes & some cracking vinyl. The bar tenders are next level, & the owner Gustavo will often bring his pos vibes into the place too. Defo my favourite bar in Melbourne! I also happen to be a local ;)

Serving wine you would cook with. Never coming here again and definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless I didn’t like them very much.

I have been coming here somewhat frequently over the last 2-3 months - probably much to the exasperation of the staff, haha - and have been given nothing less than the VIP treatment by the team, all whilst they consistently maintain a perfect grasp of professionalism that many other bars seem to be sorely lacking. They'll greet me by name when I wander in, they'll already be pouring my favourite beverage before I sit down and they'll always make sure I've bloody well checked in. This isn't aimed at a select few of the staff either, but the staff entire. I've no idea where you managed to get this fantastic collective of employees from, but I'll be honest with you, I've worked in a lot of bar and restaurants over the years and seeing a team work this well together is both incredibly rare and glorious to behold. Thanks guys.

Possibly the worst experiance Ive had since being back in Melbourne. I have PR and carry proof of my international vaccine history. The woman who i assume was the manager was so incredibly rude, and seemed put out when I said I couldnt checkin like everyone else. This used to be one of my favourite bars and I was a regular, but after this experiance i felt discriminated and wont be back!

Delightfully unrenovated bar was a step back in time to a bygone era - what a treat! Loved being able to drink street side with a longneck of TsingTao, vibes.

Great little bar, good atmosphere and good music.
Beer selection could be improved, maybe a couple more can options, or even something nice on tap.

Cozy, low lit, good tunes and really friendly staff. Will be a must visit whenever I’m in Northcote.

Good pizza, could have been a bit more generous with toppings, good drinks, toilets were very gross and stanky

This place is easily a 5. Favourite Northcote bar for many years. Great for a low key catch up, dim lighting and easy music.

Went here for after work drinks. Atmosphere isnt too bad and beer garden is serene yet filled with awesome people and decor. My first bar love

Very cool bar with a great drinks menu and friendly staff. You can find a quiet corner or take in the vinyl action sitting at the bar. The night can be what you make of it here and nobody passes any remarks or judgements. Would love to have more bars like this in Melbourne.

Joe's is an oldie but a goodie:) So many fun times spent here over the years eating (pizzas from next door), drinking (killer wine list and cocktails), and making merry (always great tunes playing). Such a cosy local bar, not many like this in Melbourne.

The staff are always lovely and extremely accommodating. The cocktails are fantastic, and the music is always 10/10. The outdoor section is where I always go after a long day. Recommend!:)
