Got given a sticky note, which was written out for me while I was there, with an appointment time. When I rocked up for the appointment they insisted that I had the appointment wrong because it was different in their system. A emailed them a photo of the sticky note and then they insisted that I must’ve “taken” a random sticky note from someone’s desk…wtf? Instead of just simply apologising and owning that they’d given me the wrong appointment time they tried to blame me for it.

Definitely not a good experience for people trying to re-enter the workforce after leaving a toxic workplace.

Edit: the owner is commenting on this review making it appear as if the situation has been resolved, which makes me feel uncomfortable because it has not. They have not apologised properly for the incident.

My payments were stopped due to a fault of my own and after about 8 mins of waiting for the to answer my call I was greeted by a lovely lady whom I explained my concern of needing an appointment today if possible in order to get my payments back on and not having to wait til after the weekend to be paid. She looked into it and was able to arrange an appointment within the next hour and a half. So although it took some time waiting to get through on the phone, I was impressed with their customer service and efficiency In addressing my expressed concern with an over satisfactory outcome.

Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The team was so inviting and polite, The girls are extremely helpful and out going, They have the resources and right attitude to actually help people in need, Big thanks to Clare and Odette for being so supportive much appreciated!

So here I am on hold waiting for these people to answer.

I’m having to represent a vulnerable homeless person who they’re bullying and threatening with cutting off their payments - real amoral bunch here. Do not sign up.

Also they don’t answer their phone. I think the ministers office may be where my complaint goes!

EDIT TO RESPOND TO COMMENT:
There was no outage, I got through eventually after quite some time. Perhaps the business could employ some job seekers it’s engaged to help find work?

I went in today and was seen immediately. Clare and Brittany both helped me with my many questions, and I walked out knowing my next steps. These two were extremely friendly, but more importantly, knowledgeable, and it seemed like they cared - which was a relief. If you want a job, I seriously suggest Jobfind Camberwell, and ask for Brittany or Clare. They will move Heaven and Earth for you.

Throughout my time at JobFind Camberwell I have dealt with many consultants however recently I was put with Delia Dang and she has been extremely supportive and respectful of my circumstance. Would definitely recommend JobFind Camberwell to people!

I would avoid this service, (or lack of), like the plague. The staff are deliberately antagonistic and I find myself constantly pulling my "Employment Consultant" up about her demeaning and derogatory language. I have highlighted clear lapses in her privacy protocols and she refuses to address them. I really don't understand what purpose this business serves in my efforts to re-skill and find work. I have asked for the managers contact details to put in a formal complaint and got crickets. I thought I was alone in this experience until I read some of these reviews, but it seems this is a systemic issue. I will be calling DSS and changing my jobactive provider ASAP.

A total disgrace of an organisation.
You get promised that wage subsidies will be paid only to find out that you've been lied to. Saka Banda and Jarard Copper continually dodge calls and emails. Don't deal with these clowns.
CEO Karena Newland needs to sort this lot out as they are a rabble of an organisation

Paitent and understanding staff, Anna the lady who helped me out made sure that she was looking for jobs that interstesed me and made a genuine connetion with me going beyond her job. Even when she was busy she made sure to get back to me about jobs or check up on me once i got a job

Constant struggle to speak with staff have called on my lunch break over 13 times and not once has someone picked up the phone. They need to stagger there staff if they are going to have any real attempt at communication.
My payments have been stopped due to an error on their behalf.
I would not risk putting all my faith in them for employment.

Absolute sub par service,

the case managers are always late to in-person appointments, as for the phone appointments they will be more than happy to send you annoying notifications via text the night before saying you have an appointment but then won't even call you up, when you try to call they simply don't answer. All of the staff are extremely mediocre and are a waste of taxpayer money

Terrible company, full of lazy staff that treat you as a burden.
I got a message friday night saying I no longer had to attend my session on monday morning, but couldn't call them until I was in the session time. The consultant was snippy and told me I still had to attend, and that I should've known to despite the vague message telling me I didn't

Patient and polite people in an underfunded department. The workers I've met have been excellent across the board, they've just had a couple of small delays and issues due to technical problems and the strict controls on what they're allowed to do, no real fault on their part.

I was referred to Direct Recruitment only just recently. I notified them in advance I was unable to attend my appointment due to being unwell and in excruciating pain. They said that was fine and would pass on the message to the consultant I was meant to be seeing, which I believe they did through email and the consultant hasn't checked her messages and straight away suspended my payments. When I contacted them again and spoke to the consultant in person, I felt she had very poor communication and listening skills, was rude, impatient, spoke down to me, straight away didn't believe me when I insisted I had called them in advance of the appointment and simply has no interest working with me or assisting me with my situation!

Was transferred here when another agency closed! (I didn't get a choice) I was with this agency a short time before they dumped a training course on me! Just before that I acquired a painful short term injury but was unable to obtained a medical certificate! They immediately suspended my payments as a no show to an interview where I was sitting in front of them! They fobbed me off to centrelink to cut a long story short they permanently cancelled my payments! (No job to go to and no savings) I'm financially destitute and my health has worsened! I don't recall seeing or hearing from my c.m. Again after the payment suspension! I actually asked them for an eight week breach knowing I'd get the payments back! This was refused I think it's just a way of them getting rid of people they don't want on their books! Forced me to go to a job training seminar in pain (while not being paid) yet let a guy go home because he says he's sad and doesn't want to be around others! Yet he'd just completed eight years of full time work! Id do no stars if I was able! Thanks for nothing direct!

Rude receptionist who talks down to you and looks at you like your scum. 6+ months on the system before I actually spoke to someone other than the receptionist from hell. 0/5.
