I recently had the pleasure of working with JMS Wedding Photography for my engagement photos and videos, and I can confidently say that they exceeded all of my expectations. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely fantastic.

First and foremost, JMS Wedding Photography is a true professional. They were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, answering all of my questions and providing valuable guidance along the way. Their attention to detail was impeccable, and they made sure that every shot was perfect before moving on to the next.

During the photo shoot, JMS Wedding Photography made my fiancé and I feel completely at ease. They were friendly, upbeat, and genuinely excited to be capturing our special moment. They had a great eye for composition and lighting, and they were able to create stunning images that truly captured the essence of our relationship.

The videography was equally impressive and we are so happy with the results. The team at JMS Wedding Photography was able to capture all of the special moments and emotions of our engagement, and they did so in a way that was both artistic and authentic.

When we received our photos and videos, we were absolutely blown away. The quality of the images and our videos were exceptional. These guys are absolutely fantastic! John Mark and Mark were the photographer and videographer for my wedding last night. They captured special photos/ video throughout the day and always made us feel at ease by telling us what we needed to do. They were both so friendly from the first initial meeting up until the wedding day. I would definitely recommend these guys. If you want quality photos and videos get JMS photography on board! We can not highly recommend JMS Photography enough! Marco and i were very happy with the service and the effort they had put in to make our wedding memorable. The album was absolutely amazing and it was at a very high standard and the album and our video was fantastic quality. JMS was reasonably priced. They definitely made our wedding special and i would not go to an another photographer! Johnmark did a fabulous job capturing every moment of our day. 5 stars - Highly and definitely recommended!

Johnmark and his team were amazing on the day and made sure they captured every special moment at our wedding. They were very professional and were amazing and easy to work with. We were blown away once we saw our album. Thank you Mark and Claude for time and patience in making our photo selection so smooth. Viewing our video for the first time the transition from getting ready at our homes to the ceremony, locations and then finally the reception really told our wedding day. If you are looking for a photographer I highly recommend JMS Photography as they did an outstanding job at our wedding! Great team that worked on me and my husbands wedding! Took amazing photos and were really easy to communicate with. Not the most responsive, but I think they make up for that in the quality they provide on the day!

Great service. There are one of the top photographers in Melbourne. If you have a choice, you should not look past these guys.

John Mark went over and above to deliver the best possible shots. The day started at 9am and he was still going strong at 10pm and got some of the best shots in the evening.

You only get one shot at this and he nailed it.

We had our wedding photos done here. The product was about average, but the delays and general difficulty dealing with them was not worth it.

It all started well enough, signing up with John-Mark to have our photos taken by him. A week later, we were called and told we would then have another photographer, Marco, because of a double booking. Not too much of a problem on it's own, but not what was agreed.

Before the wedding they were generally well organised. Pricing was fairly transparent, and they gave us a run-down of the day and what to expect.

On the day of the wedding, Marco was somewhat rude and aggressive when getting guests together. I can understand the need to hurry when you have so many photos to take, but be a professional about it.
Furthermore, he rushed a really bad photo on his phone and posted on the JMS Instagram account. He then posted the photos with the WRONG NAMES.

With that said, the problems really began AFTER the wedding. Dealing with Mark (who does all the editing) was worse than pulling teeth. It took over three months to get the initial low-resolution photos to us, delivered at mid-night (in our mailbox), without a word to us.

We then asked repeatedly for high-res copies, which were definitely part of the package. JohnMark initially agreed that we not only should have received them, but they were well and truly overdue. Once we messaged Mark about these photos, he responded that he would be leaving for Italy for a month the next day. So we waited even longer for our photos.

Finally, we received high-res photos (with some excluded), and we had to choose what would go in the photo book. Doing this over email is excruciatingly slow. And that is compounded by a difficult and clearly unmotivated staff member (Mark) on the other end. It took another 2-3 months to get our photo-book printed, leaving a total of over 8 months between our wedding day and receiving the final copy.

Upon meeting with JohnMark and Mark on that day, they were adamant they performed their duties to the highest standard. Whilst their work is of good quality, they were clearly full of themselves and defensive from start to finish.

The one upside was the videographers they partnered with. I'm not sure who they use, but the videos of our wedding day are brilliant. A big thank you to the videographers!

EDIT (02/04/19) : I was called by JMS, not to apologise for the experience, but because they had a VCAT hearing with their videographers, and they believed we were trying to assist the opposing group. It seems to me that a bad review coupled with a VCAT hearing is not the world scheming against you, but is more indicative of a business not well run.

Overall it took over 8 months to get our photos, more than 3 of which was just us waiting for prints. How a business performs this poorly, then expects a good review is beyond me.
