Worst service ever! The conveyancer was terrible, to top it off he went overseas and was not available for settlement. It had to take place the following week. No refund or compensation. Stay away.

Deceitful.
Following on from a contract crash I reengaged Brad and he confirmed that their was no charge for previous contracts that fell through beyond by control. However, I asked him to confirm the price of service and all of a sudden it had jumped up by almost $200.

Upon questioning he advising considerable work in to the previous contract, (wait there was no charge a moment ago yet tried to hide the price in and charge me anyway) he then went on to say he would do it for the original quote but if it fell through would invoice me for all contracts prior too, a risk I’m not prepared to wear in this volatile property market.

I told Brad I found his tactic concerning and deceitful and immediately terminated the service to which he simply acknowledged.

Ensure you obtain written quotes if you are left with no alternatives than to use this service. I ended up shopping around and not only found a better price they have already outshone the professionalism.

Brad Sleurink was our conveyancer for the most recent property we just purchased. He is a great man with a lot of experience in this field and made our sale really easy to finalize.

Horrendous communication, could hardly get through to Brad & he never returned my calls. Emails were short & defensive, often ignoring the main questions.
Charged a fee (50%) even if property didn’t sell, even though he basically just copied the original contract of sale that I had signed. Also, sent me an overdue notice even though his ridiculous fee was paid. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Brad was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He accomodated our needs, was prompt in his replies and put us completely at ease with the whole process.

Brad dealt with the settlement of our first property and went above and beyond. He was extremely helpful with all our questions and promptly replied to all contact. Will use Brad again in the future and highly recommend his services to all.

I would not recommend Brad Sleurink, don't let the nice guy act fool you. As it was my first home sale and I did not know the process, Brad took full advantage of this. His true colours came through when firstly the buyer requested some clauses in the contract to be removed and upon asking him what that would mean, he got very cagey and wouldn't answer the question, and proceeded to repeat a robotic answer "everything I have written in the contract is for a reason". I realised he technically couldn't "advise" me, I did not need him to tell me whether I should or shouldn't agree to this, all I needed from him was what the clauses meant and what it would mean if they were removed. Getting that answer was like trying to bleed blood from a stone.

Secondly and more importantly, I needed the deposit released early (which the buyer agreed to) as I had run out of money and without it, couldn't secure alternative accomodation as well as finish off the few jobs on the unit that I had promised the buyer by settlement. How crucial this was, was expressed to Brad at the very start. Brad then did nothing but give me the run around and made several attempts to delay this process, not even informing me of the forms that I needed to sign until a month into settlement, after asking him multiple times what was happening with my deposit. After a month and a half of trying to get an answer out of him and finally sorting out the appropriate documention, he then informed me that my deposit wouldn't be transferred for another 2 weeks (which was 2 months into settlement), he had not counted on me doing my own investigation and finding out that not only had he still not lodged the documents with my bank yet but the bank informed me that there was no reason why the transfer would not take effect immediately once the forms were lodged. After calling him out on this and now demanding the deposit be transferred immediately, he blatantly tried to delay me AGAIN by asking for my bank account details (WHICH I HAD ALREADY GIVEN HIM TWICE), to which I proceeded to threatened him with the ombudsman, which finally prompted him to release my deposit. Absolutely shameful, and it is this type of greedy and shady behaviour that gives the legal industry a bad name.

Brad helped us with our first home purchase, and more recently with the sale of that property and purchase of our next.
We found him and his staff to be both helpful and knowledgeable, and he was always happy to call to discuss anything or to answer any number of emails from property novices such as ourselves.
Fees were fixed upfront and did not exceed the quote. Despite his office being in Williamstown, he has been very happy to manage our South-Eastern suburbs transactions. Everything was done on time and correctly. We would very happily recommend.
