Jetty Road Retreat

Had a lovely time at Jetty Road Retreat with our family. The kids loved the kayaking and feeding the birds. A beautiful part of the world:)

The place is just WOW for a lovely relaxing countrysidd escape. Listening to chipping of birds with the sunrise and sunset over the river is just as tranquil as it feels in words.

We had a beautiful few days at Jetty Road - couldn't recommend it enough! The cabin was well equipped, comfortable and quiet - not to mention the stunning view. Kim is a fabulous host, we appreciated your communication. We will be back!

Nungurner is such a lovely quiet place to stay and is not far from Lakes Entrance and Metung, so ticks those boxes. Nungurner Jetty and the bay are so quiet and peaceful and the Jetty Road Retreat is a great place to stay as our unit had all the conveniences of home plus a lovely outlook over the forest and the bay. The kitchen had everything we needed; the bed was comfie; the deck area great for breakkie and dinner and the local bird population take a keen interest in visitors! One thing I especially liked was the history that the owners (the Kleinitz family) have in the area. Highly recommended

I write this review while overlooking the ocean from the balcony of our four-star hotel in trendy Coogee, but my thoughts and heart are still in Nungurna which we reluctantly left four days ago.
We are sure to return to that beautiful, soulful place as often as we are able to.

We stayed in cabin 6, and it was an amazing experience. The fully equipped cabin, overlooking the lake and surrounded by nature, we saw different types of very beautiful birds and some rabbits from our terrace. Kayak equipment in perfect condition. I hope to return one day and continue to discover this beautiful place. There is no telephone signal so it's a perfect place to truly disconnect

We had a wonderful holiday at Jetty Rd- what a gem of a place! So relaxing, loved the view and the deck. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. Love that it is all original and still in great condition. We will certainly be back!

We stayed in unit 5 and as all the other reviews advise - this place is truly a wonderful place to stay. Sit out on the balcony and enjoy the amazing views while being greeted by many types of native birds and other wildlife. The unit was comfortable and clean and the booking/check in/out process is great. The complementary Kayaks were also a nice touch. The location is away from the town, but still convenient for all those wanting to explore the region. The unit is old and a bit dated, but it has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable and we'll be staying again for sure.

Our second time at Jetty Road Retreat and it did not disappoint as sometimes second visits can. Its a lovely tranquil place in a beautiful area and with great views. Kim is the very best of hosts and the accommodation is very clean and contains everything you could need, even down to providing bird seeds with which to attract the beautiful birds of the area.

The perfect location to get away from everything for some downtime. The views were stunning from my cabin and with the big windows, I felt like I was out in nature even inside the cabin. I loved the small touches like birdseed to welcome the beautiful birdlife to the garden and the information about the walking tracks close by. The cabin was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 10. We enjoyed a wonderful 5 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed the Jetty Road Retreat. The kids had so fun feeding the birds each day and the position of the cabins was fantastic for capturing a wonderful view over the lake. Kim made us feel very welcome and we wont hesitate in coming back!

From the room you can see the lake view and in the morning u see the birds, everything you can think of was in the cabins.

I love our stay at Jetty Road Retreat – it was wonderful and amazing with nature abound, and serene and quiet except for birds chirping and water lapping the shore – just what was needed! This is our second time here, the last being in 2016. It’s amazing to see that not much have changed, which is a good thing. It was like we were here only yesterday, even though 6 years have gone by.

Our cabin is charming, and has all the modern amenities and comfort needed. There’s 4 cabins in the retreat, enough to feel secluded and yet not too isolated. Metung is also just a drive away, with eateries, local produce, great coffees and delicious brunch to savour. Nyerimilang Heritage Park is also worth a visit. There’s lots we could do, but it was a restful and relaxed trip, so it was times on the balcony with a good book, taking in the peaceful and stunning views, watching the sun set, with cute rosellas, lorikeets and other birds popping by.

Thank you Kim and Wendy for your hospitality and making me feel right at home, away from home. I enjoyed our nurturing and nourishing stay very much, and look forward to coming back soon.

I came to Metung for business purposes and found the stay very relaxing and peaceful. The cabin was fully contained with the technologies and the kitchen that I required. To me the Jetty Road Retreat would be a great location for families and the like.

We unfortunately only had two nights to spend in this peaceful, comfortable accommodation. Loved every minute of it (even though daylight savings starting robbed us of an extra hour to enjoy ourselves)
Would highly recommend a stay at Jetty Rosd Retreat, to get away from it all, and unwind in such a beautiful setting.

Enjoyed our stay, great location to visit Lakes Entrance and other areas, and the cabin overlooks the jetty which was lovely. Only little issue was that we came in winter so cabin was cold, they provided an electric bed which was great

My partner and I had a great time staying at Jetty Road Retreat. We travelled down from Melbourne and it was a beautiful and much needed escape. We spent both nights on the deck with a cheese board admiring the views and the firepit was a great addition too. Would absolutely stay again, perhaps next time with friends to share the experience.

Personally as a local I've never stayed, however i am always at the jetty for work which is within a stones throw from the cabins. I meet alot of their guests exploring the area which always praise the owners service, friendly nature, cleanliness and incredible location.

My partner and I stayed here during the worst weather the region had had in months. In any other venue this might have been frustrating. However our stay was very enjoyable because the cabin is comfortable and well equipped. We were happy to chill out and enjoy the beautiful view.
Kim is the consummate host. She is very helpful and accommodating but totally respectful of guests peace and privacy.
I highly recommend Jetty Road Retreat.
