I rented an apartment through Jellis Craig for 9 months, they never fixed the shower floor where I had to continually pick up paint flakes stopping the shower from draining. Their reason was that it required the whole shower to be removed (not my problem).

Another memorable moment was when I was overseas and an agent from their agency had taken it upon himself to conduct an inspection of my apartment. He sent me a text message but I never replied (because I was overseas and didn’t receive it).

My girlfriend was startled, as she was staying there at the time, who knows what other breaches of privacy occurred.

Anyways, quite typical behaviour of real estate agents who seem to believe that renters are the scum of the earth and they aren’t required to abide by the law.

Lachie Fraser-Smith and Gaby Carr ran a very professional campaign resulting in an auction result significantly above reserve. Great communication and expert advice made the process very easy. Our property had been in the family for nearly 60 years, so entrusting the sale to an agent who could combine sensitivity and commercial acumen was important. Lachie and team worked tirelessly and achieved a fantastic result. I would have no hesitation in using Lachie and his team again, or recommending them to prospective vendors.

Property manager Leah Andrews was rude. No responses, nothing got fixed (e.g. Blinds in bedroom, rotten window frame). Would not recommend unless you want to be treated like a second class citizen.
After we moved out, following the process including a professional clean, they have been withholding the bond with no communication. Again being completely ghosted. So unprofessional.

We'd purchased an investment property from this agent.the lease was expired couple of months before settlement, Jellis Craig property management team Caterina Polydorou didn't stopped there, She helped us find new tenant straightaway and transferred to us at settlement.we have no time to waist to receiving rental. St Kilda - The rental representative said, "You are 5 minutes late, as so, I couldn't show you the unit". Five minutes is an acceptable range of time for new locations.

Terrible experience with Kevin O'Brien when trying to make an appointment to inspect the property 29 Karma Ave, Malvern East, which has been in market for a number of months now. He told me 'no appointment is available in 10 days, come to see the property during the advertised inspection time, however by that time the property may be sold, it is the client's instruction. ' This is quite unusual for real estate agents who can't take buyers through outside of listed inspection time (which is 3pm Wed for this property when most people are at work). As a buyer/investor who inspects houses frequently, I have never came across with agent like Kevin O'Brien who lacks of professionalism, courtesy and respect. Whoever uses him to sell house might expect a prolonged campaign period.

Caterina & the Team @ Jellis Craig have been exceptional.we had our property listed for rent with another agent for months in just a week or so they secured an excellent tenant. Contract was cancelled in the 3-day cooling off period. Agents returned full deposit without keeping the 0.2% penalty - seems they don't know the rules about buying and selling - absolutely no communication about the penalty that should have been paid to us in 2 to 3 days. Agents ignored calls and emails - almost 6 months later OUR money was paid after escalating to one of the senior partners.
Plus, they couldn't sell the house, terrible & stressful experience. In the end we went to a different agent who sold it for hundreds of thousands more in a falling market.

I would give zero star if I could. The worst rental property experience we ever had. Never got things fixed on time, we lived without blind in the main bedroom for about 4 months even after putting in request to get it fixed for so many times. Shower slide door never got fixed, it use fall on us while in shower. When we left the property, got it professionally cleaned but Jellis Craig made us pay another $900 to get it cleaned. They will try to take as much money from you as they can. Filthiest service ever.
