Tried to return a headset with a common fault in the microphone, but unfortunately, I was told to wait next to the front desk for an IT staff member for an hour and a half.
Other customers asked if I was waiting in line. Towards the end, I said to one customer "No you go, I've only been standing here for an hour and a half. "
The woman who told me to wait looked at me but ignored me when I said it.
I felt silly standing there, i found it very unprofessional and got frustrated, so I walked outside.
I thought someone may have been on a lunch brake but lunch brakes don't take an hour and a half.
I sat outside the store and rang their phone number 6 times, and nobody answered.
I rang the Waurn Ponds JBHIFI, and their manager helped me within 10 minutes.
Waurn Ponds rang Andrew the Geelong manager and told him to meet me at the front of the store. Waurn Ponds stayed on the phone with me until Andrew saw me. I'm sorry but what manager has to be told by another manager from another store, to meet their customers at the front of the store because nobody was helping them?
No apology from Andrew.
Waurn Ponds couldn't stop apologizing.
Andrew tested the issue with the microphone. He told me it's probably because i didn't push the attachable mic in properly. (Like i haven't tried that already?) Apparently, it started working through his phone but told me to bring in my samsung tablet and get him to test it again.
Mind you, it takes half an hour to go back home, and I'd already been waiting an hour and a half.
As I explained to the women at the desk, to Andrew and to Waurn Ponds is, after having micphone problems with 3 different brands, I just want a refund.
I still didn't get a refund from Geelong.
So I drove 20 minutes to Waurn Ponds, and within 15 minutes, I walked back out of their store with the headset refunded.

Why on earth didn't Geelong JBHIFI do this in the first place?

Was supposed to be quick visit as I knew what I was looking for just wanted some assistance on different brands. Ended up leaving and purchasing from office works up the road as Staff in JB not one person approached me to see if I needed help they were all to busy standing around talking amongst themselves (loudly) 2 men in particular, about how 'stupid' the people are when asked to show vacc status and don't want to also show ID.
A must in Port Arlington very popular, I would book a table, food and service delicious, mussel chowder a must.
It was a long drive for me to get there but wasn't disappointed as the product I wanted to buy was put on hold for me over the counter. It was a good experience but had bit of trouble finding car park. It is located in the plaza and there is separate parking available, something I realised when I found the store.
Staff didn't know what speaker wire was then spent 15 minutes unable to locate a click and collect order.
Spent 15min and 4 staff members where chatting and did not even come and asked if we OK some was in a wheelchair to
Very well stocked electronics store, friendly and knowledgeable staff. My "go to" place for all my electronics.
No need to explain what JB HiFi does since it's quite a well known electrical shopping chain. This branch is laden with choice and stuffed to the rafters with stock. At times it feels like a maze due to the many aisles and turns that take you around the shop, but I doubt you'll complain about getting lost in a branch of JB Hifi. This branch seems to have more variety of products in more ranges than the Waurn Ponds one, so if you're after more unique gear check this branch out first.
Big thumbs up to James for his patients and know how when we needed a update hi-fi. Will be back.
I can't say to much about it because I couldn't get around in there I was on my scooter and it was a challenge to even get in. I then had to turn around to get out. The workers who helped me were very helpful, anyway they did have alot of different things to look at. Just very cramed. I feel really let down.
Racist staff! Been waiting for someone to attend but they where busy attending the white skins first!
Put a board on front that only people with white skin allowed
Had three purchases in last few months and the team has been great. Bought a Samsung phone that died (it happens) and we went out of their way to find a replacement and get me up and running again. Did some click and collect and went well too! Thanks JB!
Staff are scarce, can be quite rude if you are not dressed as if you have a million$$$$$$$$$ in the bank to spend there
Wanted to buy a laptop but no one asked if I wanted help sowalkedout, sales people just talking to each other.
Another great place to get all your pop culture needs. Staff provided excellent customer service. I have bought the majority of the puzzles I possess from here. Will continue to shop here in future. Cheers.
Always love jbhifi and everything they offer. Have found customer service to be lacking at this particular branch.
