Jaycar Electronics

Jaycar is usually a great store but sometimes in life you meet really unhelpful people and this is the case at the Ringwood branch. If you know exactly what you want this is the place for you, if you're unsure exactly what you need and want to pop in for a little advice then it's well worth going a bit further; you'll get better service at Eltham or Box Hill.

Call ahead to confirm my product was in store, however 2 of the younger staff members were clueless about the product and where to find it inculding the person whom I called eailer.
Luckily an older gentleman staff member overheard this situation and promptly found the product.

Amazing customer service. Was looking for a triwing screwdriver. Was looking everywhere even Bunnings didn’t have it or officeworks etc. Legends! Person who assisted me went above and beyond. Defs returning again.

Useful store, one of only a few places in Melbourne were you can pick up Electronic bits and pieces.

Look, I know Jaycar are everywhere and the guys at Ringwood were really helpfull. Don't be afraid to ask even if you can't see it on the shelf. They found me a heater for the caravan that no other caravan place bothered to mention. Only 2amps and won't trouble the inverter. Thanks guys!

The best place to buy hobbyist electronic components in a bricks and mortar location left in Australia.

If you love electronics and need hobbiest parts, jaycar is the place to go. I could spend hours in there. The staff are so helpful.

Good range of hobby electronics and appliances. Friendly and helpful staff. Ringwood store has lots in a small tidy space but it's not cluttered, but it could be bigger premises.

Good location accessible, unlike their Sunshine shop, where getting out onto the main road (Mc Intre rd) can be a nightmare especially in peak traffic.

Good store for all those electronic bits needed around the house from tv connections to car stuff close to home too

They have nearly everything electrical, 240 volt, 12 volt, 24 volt, and stuff i know absolutley nothing about, adaptors, more stuff than you can poke a stick at, but best of all, knowledge, and they share it freely, so go down and fix your boken stuff there, and tell them Eamon said your great thanks

Handy little electrical/electronics shop. Never been disappointed yet from my many visits to pick up bits.

There's this old bald guy in the counter, that is so rude and very unhelpfull.one day he'll get his karma. Clearly he shouldnt be working there, i was looking for a electronic car part which is listed in their website and his reply to me is, "I'm not a car guy and this is not a car shop" ddnt even point me where to look at.not a good experience for a first time buyer.
I Recommend to buy somewhere else.

Great prices and have been going here for years but I am concerned with the way women are treated when entering Jaycar.

Old bloke doesn't know what customer assistance is. Products are good but not willing to assist complete amateurs like myself.

On Monday afternoon 4th December 2017, I purchased 2 x RCA Plugs to 2 x RCA Plugs Audio Lead - 1.5m for $5, which was an excellent price. The staff were rude and the service was terrible also they never match prices, which is annoying so I would avoid this place at all costs.

Very unhelpful, they suggested a packet of belts would suit my turntable. When none of the belts would fit they refused to accept the product back even though it was unfit for purpose. This is in breach of consumer law. I would not ever go near this store as they are dishonest with no regard for the law or honesty.
