Jasper Coffee reviews
21 My coffee was just right.
The lady who served me was friendly and professional.
What more can you ask for
Good coffee with friendly service, all in a corner at Prahran Market great place to chill in between shopping for groceries.
Very bad coffee - served the wrong size, very milky with almost no coffee flavour. Speaking of the milk, I'd hazard it was on its way to going sour. Avoid!
Normal question from customers when it comes to what size takeaway to you have. The staff didn't point them out she told me very rudely, small, medium and large. IF YOU HAVE A LOOK.look where? You wanna point them out? Or just be rude? Funny how her attitude changed very quick when I match her rude energy all of a sudden she was polite and friendly.there are much better coffee shops just outside the market where coffee taste amazing and the staff are friendly. Oh as ex barista once is enough for me to not come back and write you a review
Extremely average coffee for the piece. The staff here were really rude and dismissive to my partner and I both times we have given them a go. I wouldn’t recommend… much friendlier and tastier coffees to choose from at the market
The woman who assisted me was friendly and helpful. She recommended Peru El Guayacan which I bought. Good coffee albeit expensive.
Really poor, that’s how the coffee was served. And I didn’t even mix it ️
Such a shame
Mocha and the best chocolate brownie, it’s full of chocolate favour and mixed with moist and chunky.
Sunday morning market strolling bought us here.
Perfect coffee where staff actually quoted a 6min wait (rare & awesome customer service). Spinach, feta & mushroom jaffle was so good & tasty. Highlight of the market today
Rude woman barrister. I asked for a dash of honey but she got annoyed that it wasn’t written on the cup. Poured like 3 spoons of honey in a small takeaway cup as a result and asked the assistant to stir it. I used to go to that place all the time when I lived around but won’t again.
Burnt coffee and was told that I couldn’t have a single cup because “by law” they had to give me two… this isn’t true and is unnecessary. I felt the lady serving was unnecessarily rude about the whole thing and it’s completely put me off getting coffee here. Although more expensive I would recommend makers around the corner.
Stale beans. Thought we would try Jasper and bought 250g whole beans this week. Used them on a pro espresso machine 2 hours later, they were stale. Total waste of money. Leaving beans exposed in tubs for weeks on end is not a way to store coffee beans. Avoid. As others have said also, no roast date on the bags or beans you purchase. Not fresh.
Gave me a cold flat white, when asked to remake there was no apology and they gave me a very poor impersonation of an actual flat white. Would not recommend
I needed beans for home so decided to give Jasper a chance because their website calls themselves a "specialty roaster". The coffee bag doesn't have the roast date printed anywhere on it, and given that they have so many blends and single origins on display, most of that stuff must be stale. Came home, pulled a few shots - zero crema absolutely, espresso looks like filter coffee. The beans must be several months old, so buying from Jasper is like buying in a supermarket
Nice coffee, but not sure about the hygiene of all donuts all outside, all day, without coverage next to the register.
Interesting coffee place in the Prahran market as you can pick the beans that you want from the baskets in the store. I didn't try andy but it was quite busy.
Pretty expensive for a VERY tiny cup of coffee. The only time I have seen cups so small is when you order an expresso. One week was served by a friendly young asian man who was lovely and helpful, but the next week I went, the older lady (the owner?) served me and she looks like she has sucked on a barrel of sour lemons; don’t think she knows the meaning of friendly customer service if it came and kicked her in the face. Asked her for a mild, easy on the palate coffee beans and she sold me something very acidic. Won’t be going back.
Best coffee in this market.
Blend #9 is my favourite. I strongly recommend if you like low acidic coffee.
First time seeing many kinds of beans in Melbourne.
To be honest, I was so excited with the shop when I found it. I have been many cafe / coffee convention in Korea which is really huge.
I was really excited to get a special coffee from this shop, so I just ordered two coffee without observing.
Which was my mistake.
As soon as I ordered I looked over the machine and found out they don't even wipe their coffee handle after empty it. Oh gosh.
Also I heard "ching" sound after they did temping of coffee.
OMG. I regretted ordering 2 coffee from here. But I tried to think positive because the person who took my order said, they use organic milk and high quality coffee.
They took forever to pour milk after extraction, and couldn't stopp talking and talking. I am pretty sure their saliva was on my coffee.
Anyway, I have got my coffee after 5 minutes or so or longer.
Wow. Unbelievable. Or maybe I was expecting it.
Terrible coffee. So bitter. No wonder why.
You don't wipe your coffee handle and probably machine as well.
Never going to go back.
Strong coffee, great aroma, nice and perfectly blended located inside Prahran market, great service, and some seatings available.
