Jasmine House reviews
25The fried rice had a hair in it. We had to ask for chilli sauce twice. We also had to ask for water. If you don't ask you don't get. They still charged us for the vegeterian fried rice even though it was returned for a plain bowl of noodle. We complained to the management but they just laughed it off pretending it's ok. We've been going to the Jasmine House restaurant for years but that's it they lost us as customers. Disappointed with the food, staff, and especially the management.
The food here is good and waiting staff too, however, the old lady that’s generally taking orders and receiving payments is very rude and makes fun of people by discussing with other people. She made us feel really embarrassed and uncomfortable, she’s not at all cooperative and respectful.
Absolutely delicious food! It's rare finding a good chinese restaurant these days so if you like good old school chinese this is the place to be!
Good food and service very clean not cheap by any means but enjoyable good selection of meals good wine list fast service worth a visit
$55 a head incl.a couple of drinks each. Great service, fresh food.
We will be back.
Had been to this place before maybe 10 years ago, and it was very delicious. But was extremely disappointed this time as we had a set menu and the lemon chicken was processed, the spring rolls and dim sim wasn’t to my expectation as well. If you have ever made your own you would know the difference It all seemed manufactured. Even the chicken and corn soup. My grandson said mine was nicer.didn’t even get a whole banana fritter just three pieces battered. It’s a shame but I won’t be going back.
Lumpy, gluggy over cooked rice. Chewy meat, some veg over cooked and others over
So disappointed. Can't understand the good reviews.
We’ve been going to Jasmine House for a while and really love their meals. This evening we were even more impressed as we were running quite late to pick up our take away due to car issues. The wonderful staff kept our food warm and let us in a few minutes after close to pick it up. Thank you so much
Flavoured water instead of sauce. Staff were pleasant. That's about all I can say. Will not be going back.
Old chicken, old dim sims, disgusting chicken skewers which lead to a painful stomach ache.
What happened?
Obviously you no longer care about the customer.
1 star is being generous, but it is the least you can give.
Watery soups, odd tasting dim sims, dry chicken satay, soup dumplings that had no soup in them and soggy spring rolls.
Struggled to do the basics and the food ended up in the bin.
Will not be back.
Had a table of ten tonight and everything came out in great time and beautifully cooked. It’s been about 5 years since we had last been here and will definitely be back again.
On a side note: the eye fillet steak with black pepper was melt in your mouth delicious.
Had dinner with friends here a couple of weeks ago, we were all very disappointed with the service. Entrees came out 40 minutes apart with no explanation or regard and mains 15 minutes between 1 meal and the remaining 3 to arrive. Drinks were taken away and staff never thought to ask if we would like another.
For a main I ordered a Chicken Laksa although tasty, half way through eating my meal I discovered a piece of calamari. Staff brushed off the incident as a busy evening and thought nothing of it. Luckily I have no food allergies as this could have been a medical emergency in the making. We will not go back again.
Good quality and tasting Chinese food with a couple of interesting menu items, like crocodile dishes.
Good service and comfortable environment.
Food great service fast very busy 5 Dec 2020 but overall I was very happy I am a regular there for a few years
A really good restaurant. The seafood noodles were delicious, so were the vegie spring rolls. The kids loved the honey chicken and lemon chicken and my wife's salt and pepper tofu was perfectly seasoned with a good hit of chilli. The disappointing dish was the kung poa chicken, needs to have more of a chilli kick I asked for extra chilli and still had to add some chilli oil to it to bring it up to the right spice level. Also it was more kung poa veggies than chicken.
But I would definitely come back again to try more of their dishes.
Great food, been coming here since I was young for Chinese, try their Mongolian Beef. Old owners Shirley and Allen were the best - food still great under new owners.
Creepy indian uber drivers wreck the feel of keilor rd of late, including around Jasmine House, this is not the fault of the business though.
Really good food and a pleasant experience. Atmosphere was nice and staff really friendly and helpful.
Restaurant was clean with nice classy decor however the 2 chicken dishes that were ordered were very disappointing. Sorry but I won't be going back.
Absolutely fabulous, incredible food & a buzzing atmosphere. I'm in - add this One to My list of faves
