Ricky is the most down to earth and humble wine maker ever. Cracking wines and great place to unwind over some cheese and nibbles in the afternoon. A must a stop on your way through Rutherglen!

Not only does James and Co have an amazing wine bar feel - they also make AN INCREDIBLE array of wines that truly are unlike anything else you’ll find in Rutherglen. Italian varieties that are just so damn delicious. Go for the bottles of Sangiovese, stay for the cheese your own adventure and awesome outdoor area out back.

Excellent wines that aren't in the normal Rutherglen mold. Friendly service and a great atmosphere if you want a drink with friends.

Great ambience; caters across generations. Delicious mushroom pizza. Loved the Sauvignon blanc by Simao.

Friendly service and dogs allowed through the shop into the rear garden. Mist fans are cooling and keep insects away so comfortable outside under umbrellas. Good selection of cheese, pate and cold meats with pita bread or crackers. Quite expensive but worthwhile.

We were walking past James & Co at closing time and when he saw our interest, the owner invited us in for a wine! Who does that? !

Lovely people running a beautiful space, with top notch friendly country service and sumptuous food and wine. We highly recommend a visit.

As a side, you recommended the restaurant across the road - Taste, you might want to reconsider making that recommendation, they were appalling.

You can’t go wrong having a cellar door/bar in Rutherglen’s main st. Very relaxing place for a pre-dinner drink. The James’s are both very lovely and easy to chat with.
