Jai Ho Indian Restaurant

I booked my son's first birthday at Jai Ho function hall. It was a really great experience, and Gautam is a gem of a person. Him and his team looked after our guests really well, and the food was really awesome. I highly recommend Jai Ho Restaurant.

Attended a party there, food was scrumptious, arrangements were great.
Staff was very accommodating and cheerful.

Wanted to give 0 star rating. Absolutely disgusting food. Bad service. The food quality was very poor. Never had this smelly vegetarian food in my life. It was too much salty as if they were trying to get rid of their old salt. Masala soda was like salt water. I was a loyal customer but not anymore.

Shraddha and Gautam are an amazing team! We had them cater for our wedding and reception; about 450 people over two days. They are thorough professionals. The food was top notch over both the days. The delivery and presentation was excellent.

We ordered Matar malai methi and Garlic naan. The naan was not even garlic naan. They gave us something else. It wasn’t even properly cooked and hard to chew. My friend had a stomach pain after eating that naan. I would never recommend this restaurant and never order food from this restaurant again. We called them and their response was that chef’s are not there and they will talk to their manager.

The only reason people dine out is for great food and service but this wasn’t the case in this joint.
We waited over 50min for entree and 90 min for our main meal. We even ordered kids meals and even they were also delayed.

The food description from the waiter was completely different from what was presented, eg. Asked for semi dry chilli chicken and veg Manchurian but they came full gravy which could be eaten with rice or roti. We ordered salad which arrived when our mean was almost done. Goat meat had no taste. Almost half the meal were tasteless. Butter chicken, naan and bhel were the only good food worth paying for. Overall there are much better indian restaurants in the area, please don’t waste your time and money at this joint.

This place could go either way, my experience was not great. I turned up after 20 mins for pick-up - they had forgotten to put the order in. OK, I can forgive that.
But the goat biryani I ordered.sure I expect it to include bones, but this was about 80% bone. What meat there was was tasty, but not worth the price. The other curry was so-so.
Restaurant ambience seemed nice.

Ordered food through UberEats and I am really disappointed with what I got. Naan’s were specially bad.

Food was delicious but the staff service was very bad, the girls were on there phones and EarPods were on and no communication between customer and staff.

Ordered $90 of food one and half hours late. Called manager who was rude and did not want to take ownership. Absolutely appalling service have spent so much money in the past. Will never ever go back to jai ho. Manager hung up on Me twice when I asked to speak to the owner. Inappropriate customer service. Manager was condescending and blamed user driver. She needs to learn what effective customer service is. Jai ho has lost our business. Very disappointed.

Ambience is good. It has party hall. Food doesn't taste good. I tried samosa chaat and chicken 65. It was horrible especially chicken 65.

The food was actually not bad. But the service definitely needs to be better. I could see that our food was ready to be served at the kitchen window, but the waitress just mucked around for nearly 10 mins and slowly brought the food.

Literally travelled to eat here for 40 mins
The food arrived after 45 mins of ordering. And the soup arrived after asking 5 times that too between the main course
The biryani had lumps of white rice, and the goat curry had literally burnt pieces
We ordered sizzling brownie for dessert which didn't arrive at all
The staff didn't even realize that they haven't served it and included it in the bill we had to remind them again that it isn't served
And we had to pay for everything burnt even after the staff agreed it was their mistake while we showed it to them
Delays are accepted but bad quality food isn't what expected

Living in a suburb where almost every corner has an indian restaurant and having had food at almost all of them, I can emphatically say that this is by far the best "not overly expensive" Indian restaurant in western Melbourne. Their food quality is always top notch, fresh, aromatic and sumptuous! They usually take extra time to prepare the food but for a good reason. The crispy chilly potato, Dal fry and Mango Lassi are incredible. Every other dish is also extremely heartwarming.

Must try, must visit place. This was our saviour throughout pandemic and has been our feel good home away from home for over 4 years. You won't regret it!

I never gives bad review but this time its must to give. My friend and I had a dinner in the west branch. The food came a bit late but that's okay. But its not okay to give pathetic quality food, all chicken items were smell and taste so bad, i worried about any side effect. Didnt finish all. Not sure why are you in the business and playing with public health. All five stars comments are from their own staff or friends. If get a chance will report this with the food department. Serious matter!

The chicken and panner tandoori was soft and served on hot plate. Ordered the shabnab curry with naan, would recommend the rumali roti as it was thin and soft. The prawn biryani was one the best I've had, the prawns were big and the serving size was good.

The gulab jamun was not too sweet and warm. The drink lemon lime bitters was very pretty and fresh. They offer fresh paan as well.
