TLDR Review
As a seasoned traveller with experience in hundreds of hotels worldwide, Our stay at Jackalope Hotel was remarkably impressive. The exceptional service of ALL the staff, provided a five-star experience. The value for the experience was phenomenal in my opinion, considering the inclusive quality minibar, complimentary room service delights like popcorn and ice cream, and the luxury of little things like enjoying a morning barista coffee in a heated spa with its vineyard view. Even a 'car park' view room didn't diminish the comfort and tranquility offered. The only real negatives (if they could be called that) would the room's main door which could be more sound proofed (just book a room away from the reception end of the building) and low phone signal. This all pales in comparison to the overall outstanding experience. Highly recommended for a getaway and will be back.

In-Depth Review
Choosing a hotel is iffy sometimes and having visited a lot of hotels, Jackalope stood out for its unparalleled service and value, so i felt it was worth writing this.
.
My partner and I stayed at Jackalope Hotel for two nights, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
.
The staff across all departments exhibited a five-star standard, consistently going above and beyond. Every staff member offered a smile and politeness that was genuine and inviting.
.
One of the unique aspects which stood out was their all-inclusive approach. The daily stocked minibar included quality drinks and nibbles. The late night complimentary popcorn and ice cream from room service while watching a movie, and the luxury of enjoying a free 7am barista coffee or two in the heated spa overlooking the serene vineyard, added a special touch to our stay.
.
The food quality, both from room service and the restaurant, was exceptional and our morning breakfasts were all part of the experience. We were not charged extra for having breakfast in our room rather than the restaurant, and even ordering it in their peak breakfast time still had it delivered within 10-15min.
.
Despite having to change dates resulting in our booking going from a vineyard view to a 'car park' view, we checked in with some trepidation but we found little difference in our overall enjoyment. The room itself was a comfortable, maintaining darkness in the morning for a peaceful sleep and overall quietness, the king sized bed was comfortable and the “pillow menu” helps with extra pillows:). The balcony was large enough to comfortably have breakfast on it or just relax, and also offered exceptional privacy from neighbouring guests.
.
Although there was low phone signal, the free WIFI compensated for data download and phone calls were still clear.
.
I’m writing this detailed review because the experience and the staff truly deserve recognition. It’s ideal for anyone seeking a luxurious and relaxing break. Will be looking to go back as we didn’t take advantage of their wine tours etc as we were wanting to have a recharge break… next time.

This review is to highlight my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the quality of the massage I booked and had Tuesday 15 January 2024.
Firstly, the dissatisfaction for the sub-quality (90min) massage that was well below the quality one would expect from a luxury establishment. The person that carried out my massage was certainly underskilled and lacked experience. This is not the masseuse’s fault but the management that placed her in this position. I felt too embarrassed to comment (my mistake) during the massage, not to embarrass her.
Secondly, my disappointment to the person/management that handles complaints. I wrote to Jackalope, through their ‘Contact’ site and expressed my dissatisfaction. I was told I would receive a call/reply with 72hrs, which did not happen.
It’s obvious to me, they do not care too much about customers dissatisfaction.
Therefore, I am now adding and publicly expressing my Disappointment.
I suggest if you’re going to charge a premium price for a massage, you should employ skilled and experienced staff to carry out the job.

Very nice hotel but at ~$1k/night the expectations are sky high. Website says there are movies to watch as at the click of a button but they actually don't have this and casting didn't work either so couldn't use the tv. Not a massive deal but at the price, should be better.
Service was flawless and included breakfast was very nice.

Beautiful place to have a great bite with fantastic wines for every course. Food was amazing, service was just fantastic and the view of the vineyard after the rain.breathtaking.we loved our room with a vignard view. What a spectacular place to wake up and have an exquisite culinary experience. We would definitely come back for more of it. I would highly recommend to pop by for a memorable experience!

Loved our room, the garden areas, walk around the lake, the restaurant/s, products and complimentary treats. Such a beautiful place.

Extremely disappointed in this establishment. My very good friends pooled their hard earned cash to get me a 40th Birthday present - a voucher to use at ANY of Jackalopes facilities. Turns out this is not true. Jackalope refuse to honour this voucher.
I want my friends money back!

Jackalope is not a cheap place to stay, so expectations are always high. The location is beautifully set on a small winery with 2 restaurants, infinity pool, sauna, spa and a bar. Service here is super friendly and always helpful, however you will always be looking for someone rather than having them close by. Rooms are nice and comfy although for the price they miss the little details like nothing being total blockout at night due to room lighting. Rooms come with free breakfast in the Doot Doot restaurant which is nice but the menu is small and the food is basic breakfast food that looks beautiful, but lacks any real flavour (separate restaurant review for that). It's a good spot to go and relax and unwind as they don't even have a gym on site too. The infinity pool and spa is gorgeous, but again lacks service in that area. Happy we stayed and experienced Jackalope and it is lovely and nice, however for the price we won't be rushing back.

Perfect location! A stones throw from the best wineries the Peninsula has to offer. The staff were exceptional. We can't wait to return.

A bespoke curated modern enlightened art-centric boutique hotel set in a wine estate from LL is this gorgeous property called @jackalopehotels @rareharewine @_dootdootdoot
right in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula region, a region known for its golf courses, geothermal hot springs, natural attractions, cellar doors and amazing people and culture; we were fortunate to enliven this wonderful experience.

The rooms were very bespoke and curated

Very chic and trendy hotel with restaurants and food to match. We have very high expectations and it's not a surprise that they deliver a very high quality food and service. We love it.

Came here for a couple's getaway.

Wow, what a nice hotel. Rooms are generously sized with hydronic floor heating in the bathroom! TV oddly is off to one side. Free minibar too (really should be standard at most luxury hotels).

The pool and spa were great. Was great to meet other couples escaping the daily grind. Fire pit at night was a nice touch.

2 negatives (and hence why it wasnt 5 stars) - the doors to the rooms don't seal fully, so you can hear everything in the corridors. Our aircon was noisy (sounds like a loose duct), fortunately we were too tired to care.

100% recommend for a couple's getaway!

We had a wonderful day and evening celebrating our anniversary. Jackalope was just amazing. We felt very spoilt and loved our lunch at Rare Hare, wine tasting at the cellar door and Dinner at Doot Doot Doot. Amazing food! We took a stroll around the vineyard and lake. Our overnight stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed a dip in the spa in the morning and a beautiful breakfast before our departure. We will definitely be back and highly recommend a stay at Jackalope!

Lovely winery and great views. Came in with a party of 10 people. Service was slow, dishes came out at random times. Most of the staff where great, huge shout out to the tasting room, I forgot his name but remember he was from Texas. He was fantastic, friendly and had great product knowledge. All in all I will come back.

What a spot! We were lucky enough to have our wedding at Jackalope and couldn't be more grateful to the entire team for helping us with our special day. From the second you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and cheerful hello's. The rooms are luxury at it's finest and you won't be disappointed with the views. The customer service is second to none with every staff member willing to help with anything you need.
Rain, hail or shine, this is an incredibly place to stay, relax, eat and drink. The team at the spa are well worth a visit too.

10/10! Loved it all
Service was some of the best we have experienced.
Highly recommend chilling out if you don’t have plans and just ordering room service, it’s seriously fine dining!

I don't know what is going on with this venue but the wedding planner had no idea what she was doing. When your paying top dollar you don't expect the events manager to forget to serve your wedding cake to guest then argue the point that she can serve it at breakfast which no one touched. There was a number of issues that evening which there is no point bringing up because they just seem to argue back. Its was not how a venue should be considering the cost of having a wedding here.

We had a wonderful weekend here for my partner’s surprise birthday. The service was pretty great, and there was a lot for us to do and keep us occupied there. From dining at their restaurant, to checking out their kitchen garden and vineyards. The room was quite simple but we loved the small daily gifts they left us each time they turned down the room and every little detail was very much appreciated. Loved the cellar tasting and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend. They’re outdoor spa and sauna was also so nice. Had the best stay.

Amazing place to stay. Naturally I would recommend you book in advance, but the staff were extremely friendly and the location was spectacular.

The hallway to access all the rooms felt surreal, as it was tinged with blue lights.

The room came with Bose Bluetooth Speakers and everything in the minibar/fridge was complimentary.

There was a nightly turn-down service to fix up blankets and bedsheets while also providing the weather update for the following day and some skincare goodies.
E.g. They gave us a bag of sunscreen samples that were super useful for the following day which was extremely hot and sunny.

Mobile reception isn’t great in the area but the free wifi was more than enough.

The outdoor spa and pool were also great, recommend you go early morning to avoid crowds.
