Ivanhoe Public Golf Course

This has to be one of my top public corses in this area. Always a pleasure to play a round here as it is usually pretty well looked after and layout is very fun to play. The staff are nice and pro shop is well stocked.

Very very poor drainage. For a clay based soil it needs a LOT of work.

Practically a bog. Melbourne is wet, sure. But this is almost unplayable.

My favourite course in the world. It will always be my home. Thank you to everyone at the golf club for being so accommodating whilst I was a member there. The coaching was phenomenal and the staff all became my best friends. I love all of them. Play comp on a Saturday with the regulars. They're a blast. ️

Lots of availability and parking. Green in great condition. The coffee at the end was the highlight

Benny Crocker of a golf course. Ripper course if ya wanna play 9 with 40 blokes up ya Russell coight. Fairways are grouse if ya like hitting off 30 mpa conc. Catchyas spuz!

Very disappointing. The membership does not offer 'unlimited golf' as it is advertised on the website. When I was discussing this with some staff members, they were extremely rude, unprofessional and aggressive to their own members. Will not be visiting again.

Great spot to stop when walking or riding the trails. Coffee and snacks. Friendly service. EFTPOS, toilets and bike racks. Now with almond milk (not the best tasting brand), and two choices of chai.

A glorious establishment offering some fine vistas and tranquility close to some of the most liveable areas of town. An underrated public course indeed. A few swampy areas to address however.

A well presented golf course both challenging and rewarding if you are hitting them well.thoroughly enjoyable day and very pleasant setting for a drink on the 19th. Will be back.

It's a public course so one can't expect too much. Fairways could do with some attention and fallen branches and uncared for rough spoil the atmosphere. Greens are OK though which is nice.

Course is well managed. Fairways and green are in good condition. Back 9 holes are very hilly (3). Removal of fallen trees now in progress.

Nice little course and friendly staff. However be careful if you want to buy prepaid card (aka Lively card) as advised on their website to play this course though. Online booking are given priority over the card holder so they can book earlier than card holder. Don't feel this is fair so a bit disappointed.

We played here on the 2nd of Jan 2021, Nice welcoming at the lobby by the staff if i am not wrong its Michael or Frank.really like the golf course, with reasonable green fee on weekend. Not so crowded and very challenging course. I do like the #14th Tee Box.we will be back there for sure as we enjoyed playing there.

Amazing course, super fun and challenging holes and very well maintained. Recommend doing the 18 if you have time.

Great public course. Par 68. They seem to have removed a lot of bunkers so green approaches are more manageable. Very tree lined with tricky overhanging branches, missing the fairway will be punished. Fairways not in the best condition but overall a good round.

Although I am not a golfer I like to take on challenges: Doing the 18 at Ivanhoe Golf Course is a challenge for sure.

Fairways are very hard and dry. There's enough river water next door, I'm not sure why it's not being pumped on to the course.

Pretty public golf course with a lot of variety in the hole designs. The course is a bit hilly in places so might be difficult for someone with health problems. Highly recommend.

Very good public course. Not the longest course but still challenging with narrow tree lined fairways. Course is in good nick in general, tee boxes are patchy.
