9Had the hot matcha latte & iced ichigo matcha. Probably isn't the strongest matcha drink I've had in Melbourne. Would love to try their daifuku in the future though!
Delicious drinks and friendly staff. Had their summer drinks, iced ichigo matcha which had the perfect level of sweetness. Unfortunately, didn’t get to see the shiba but I’m definitely coming back next time.
This is a local cafe that I am desperate to see succeed. Itteki is a little hole in the wall, unexpected cafe and merch pop up which has just a lovely atmosphere. Usually you'll hear Ghibli or adjacent lo-fi beats running, and if you're lucky you'll meet the cafe mascot, a wise looking Shiba Inu which basks gloriously in the sun and adorns much of the merchandise - I personally have shorts and a hat from the cute collection.
In terms of the drinks, most staff are quick to produce a coffee despite juggling quite a steady flow of customers. There are seasonal drinks available which I will usually sample - the most successful and wildly popular is a matcha milk strawberry triple layer which looks fantastic and is wonderfully balanced upon mixing as the matcha really compliments the very sweet strawberry. Another excellent drink is the brown sugar iced kuromitso, but I stop by here almost everyday on the way to work and by the time I've caught the tram, the coffee is gone.
The expansion of merchandise seems to grow wildly each month, with the cafe offering merchandise including kitchenware, Japanese snacks, candy and rice, and also things like stationary and candles. They vary in price however the clothing is reasonable and cute (I am waiting for a singlet option team).
There are lots of good venues in this area and competition is really tough, but I am a huge fan of this venue and would encourage a drop in if in the area.
Vibes are a relaxing Japanese garage cafe 5/5
However the hojicha latte tasted more just like plain milk with hints of hojicha and barely any coffee, not great for $8.5 3/5
Great place to come to have a chat with the friendly staff. I usually come after the gym. The coffee is probably the best in the area and the savoury lunch boxes (especially the weekend ones) are amazing. Can’t get something of this quality elsewhere. And of course you can’t forget the fruits daifuku
Quaint and authentic Japanese coffee shop out of a garage- very Melbourne style! The fruit daifuku are so delicious for a treat. Get in early as they sell out each day. I enjoyed their dirty matcha latte. It has a stronger matcha flavour than other weak matcha lattes around. Highly recommend.
Great matcha selection with authentic taste. Really fresh and tasty daifuku that I have tried outside of Japan. Highly recommend the matcha strawberry daifuku if you are in the area.
Authentic Japanese Cafe run by lovely Japanese ladies. A whole variety of foods, drinks, and other Japanese products available to purchase including the adorable Shiba Inu merch. I particularly liked their onigiri and daifukus. Highly recommended.
Fantastic quality of matcha and daifuku.
Authentic ingredients. Lovely service. Highly recommend.
