What a delightful food experience. This was our first visit to Ish and so glad we picked this restaurant. No more Indian takeaways, we’re just heading back to Ish. We went with the set menu to get an overall taste experience and the food was absolutely delicious, generous and fresh. The service was friendly and attentive. Plenty of options in the wine/drinks list menu. Pricing was very reasonable too. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning. This will now be our go to restaurant for Indian food!

Stylishly casual vibe and they get the balance right with the service but the food is the standout! Everything we tried was a subtle taste sensation. I would highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I have been coming to Ish for a while now and it never disappoints. The best Butter chicken in Melbourne. The black garlic naan is to die for. I had the samosa chaat on our most recent meal there as it was a special and it was absolutely amazing. Hoping it become a permanent choice on the menu. The wine list is also very very good. Looking forward to our next meal there.

Absolute disaster for a Valentine’s Day, took us almost 2 hours to wait for 2 dishes only and still not get the third one or dessert. Food is fine, service sucks, they only knows to keep saying sorry from the beginning to the end. We asked them to light the candle for at least 3 times, when we left at 9: 20pm still no one helped with it. We really couldn’t wait any longer since we parked the car on the street and it has limitations so we left there with starving belly. Thanks for ruining our Valentine’s dinner.

Giving three stars just for the service. The staff was extremely nice, I loved the service.
Food was ok, If you're looking for authentic taste, this is not the place for you.
It was so busy and there was clearly not enough staff on the floor. Poor bar lady was getting yelled at by customers, the owner/manager was not bothered enough to answer her call. My experience would have been lot better if the management had put more staff.
The staff working on valentine's night shift deserve great appreciation, it is not easy to work when you're getting humiliated by impatient customers constantly.

First time try Indian cuisine, do impressed me! Must try Prawn & eggplant moilee curry and Black Garlic naan? The best flatbread ever!

Delicious food. Overpriced wine list. Ernest yet hopeless service: was presented with the bill whilst still consuming mains, because they took over 90 minutes to arrive. When asked about the experience (and only when asked) explained that it was disheartening to receive the bill whilst still eating. Was then told the bill came because the booking was only for 2 hours and we had been there for 2 hours 15. I said it was upsetting that I was being told it was my fault for over-staying when the service was so slow. Waitress then said it seemed I was enjoying being difficult. Really?

We dined at ISH on the occasion of my husband’s birthday. We had a wonderful time owing to friendly staff and great food. We ordered Dahi Puri, duck tacos, egg bonda, cured kingfish, smashed pea kulcha and lamb kebabs. Every dish was extraordinary and well presented. It’s an Indian restaurant with a unique twist, we highly recommend to all the foodies out there! They gave us a complimentary desert with a birthday candle to mark the occasion, just made our day!
We are definitely going back again for sure.

I have been living in Melbourne for almost 20 years and have been to countless Indian restaurants. This is by far the BEST INDIAN FOOD I have ever had in Melbourne.

Other than the food what stand out the most is how simple the menu is - Loved that! Staff is very polite, friendly and helpful.

Amazing experience!

First of all,
Victor was our server and was so great and the friendliest waiter I have had in years. Great staff!

We came for dinner as a group of 4 and really enjoyed it. The flavours were exploding from each food item and drinks were delicious to match. We especially liked the DAHI PURI, CURED KINGFISH and VADA PAC.the paneer and fish curries were spectacular too.

Highly recommend coming here if you want tasty modern Indian and great cocktails and vibe.

Fantastic place to come for dinner. They welcome you as part of the family. The food is fantastic and they provide excellent service. Highly recommended.
