Fully trust Irene and always provides clothing perfectly tailored. I have been coming to her shop for several years and don’t bother with retail suit shop alterations.
Well priced and timed service. I utilised this store when I needed alterations done to a lab-coat for cosplay and had a strict timeline that was adhered to, I've also had a pair of jeans get 'invisibly' patched for a small fee as well.
Was reluctant to get alterations done after reading the reviews about not having alterations done on time however this was not the case for me. Irene was cheaper than most alteration places and even had my jacket ready a day before I was meant to pick it up!

I took in three pairs of trousers for basic alterations. I had to stop by three times over four days before they were finished, despite repeated promises that they would definitely be ready the next time. The work was good quality but not worth the hassle.
Irene may not be a fluffy communicator, but what she lacks in chipper customer service, she makes up for in high quality, low cost alterations (which is all that matters to me)
Very disappointed. Took 2 school dresses to be hemmed. Very simple job. Went to collect them one week later as agreed and they hadn't been done so I took them and left. She was charging a fortune too. Will not return.
Hopeless in running a business, very messy shop, all I wanted was my jeans waist taken in, simple job, not ready after a week! Went to Alter It
in Burke Rd, a much more professional out fit & got the job done in a timely manner. Would give Elaine's a big miss. Would not even rate it but have to in order to post the review.
