Indian Srilankan Groceries reviews
30Good place to buy all sorts of Indian groceries in Moonee Ponds. The owner is super friendly and helpful.
Recently started visiting this store and now its on my every weekend destination for Indian stuff. The price of items is very genuine and the staffs are very helpful and super friendly. You can find all kinds of masala, snakes, sweets, frozen vegges or parathas and fresh yogurt, paneer etc. I would highly recommend this place.
Everytime I go to this place, the shopkeepers are very helpful, I have no idea what I'm looking for each time but they are very helpful in respects of finding the right product, I work with Indians and they asked me for things like jelebee, I have a brain injury so I'm always puzzled what to ask for but they always point me in the right direction or offer me alternatives, like I ask for sev but they say it's like murukku, nice place
Small store but lot of varieties for Indian home cooking. Close to MPC mall make it easier to shop (all) in one-go.
Their product selection is good. Most commonly purchased items have a price tag. The staff is very friendly and approachable. In addition to frozen foods, you can also get fresh vegetables, sweets, and snacks.
Awesome experience. Very friendly staff and has all the essential products in stock despite if the size of the store. Charges are reasonable too and products are not outdated. Best one in the surrounding suburbs.
Under managed place specially lady in counter should learn some costumer service and hospitality
Can be a little tough to find your way around. Luckily the people here are super nice and helpful
Great Indian/Sri Lankan shop. Got most of the things you need, also with dedicated parking upstairs. Only constructive feedback is having more pricing labels on items. Sometimes you have to go to the front and ask the store clerk. Other than that, great spot!
Wide range of groceries and brands. Good chance they will have what you need and if not the Friendly staff will happily order it in.
Tucked away in one of the little laneways in Moonee Ponds. You can find any spice or anything you would need to cook Indian curries. You get a whole array of frozen food, fresh veggies and sweets & snacks. The owner Paras is a wealth of knowledge and friendly man.
Very approachable and kind staff. Owner makes you feel almost like as if back in an Indian shop and very helpful. Thanks to this store that we are able to survive here.
Most of Indian daily necessities are available but prices are slightly higher than other Indian stores in Melbourne.
No option to give 0, so giving 1. The lady was shouting at me badly for parking the car in a wrong place unknowingly. There is no parking space for the store.worst customer service.
The lady over there didn't know to respect customers and uses the word "Bloody" assuming the customers wont hear it. No covid safety precautions are followed, no social distancing followed. And the rate of the products are higher when compared to other near by Indian stores. Will never go back again to this store.
Have shopped here for over 30 years. Excellent range of goods. Excellent service and very helpful staff. We are treated like family when we shop here
Neha is the worst hand mehendi you selling. It’s just the waste of money and time, was so disappointed to get not even stains of color after hours of work. Please stop selling it immediately. Thank you.
One of the few Indian grocery stores in the area. We visit this place in regular interval but most of the time their customer service is not good (mainly from owners). One of the worst experience was, we were about to buy an item and decided not to buy after we found that a bit expensive then the lady said to put the item back to the place where it was. I was like what? Personally I never get angrier like that before, while purchasing in a store. The reason I gave two star is sometime they are good but most of the time not. They should improve their customer service which is key these days.
The male that works there with the glasses spoke to me like absolute trash when I tried to query the price of an item. He told me off in front of other customers before it was even my turn telling me that it’s an expensive product. I told him I was looking for a smaller quantity to which he told me they were all expensive which I still was happy to pay for but just a smaller portion. He was rude and hostile for no apparent reason with absolutely no customer service skills. In the end, I decided not to even buy the smaller quantity and he missed out on the sale. I’ll be sure to no longer come here again and go to their competitor who sells the exact same products but don’t rip off their paying customers. Your rudeness will continue to result in a decline in sales. Aside from that, the store smells disgusting.
