India at Home reviews
31 This shop if beyong disgusting. On multiple occasions iv bought sweets from here they were stale. Last week i went to buy some indian things and found expired products on the shelf and pointed out to the lady at the counter. She said yes she knows its expired and it does not make any difference.
She also said she sell a lot of expired stuff because apparently nothing ever happens to the food items after expiry date.
Please do you checks before buying any thing at this shop. Personally i will never go back there.
Sell stale jalebis.they r smelling so bad and tasting yuck.today mAh husband bought jalebis from here.they sold stale jalebis.never recommend this shop. Worst ever
Great place to have huge range of Asian items & it's really india at home. Staff is very cooperative. We were served by a friendly staff member Amandeep. Highly recommend to visit this place.
This shop is becoming very expensive, used to shop here before but with recent purchase i was blown away by prices.
Avoid this place at all cost. They mostly sell expired products (over 2 years) and staff have no manners or understand hospitality! They insulted an old women right in front of me and grabbed her bag to search without reason or permission. This place is a Plague!
Great range of all Indian groceries. Will get most things if needing a last minute dash for key ingredient.
They a have a fairly extensive range of products, their spices are expensive in comparison to other Asian grocers and the customer service, is not very good. I shop at this store as little as possible.
Good customer service.
I always find the products I'm looking for.
Sells one of the best Ghee's in Australia. Sharma's kitchen ghee.
This one shop is really close to Boxhill some students are people who lives nearby and the voice thing about the shop will be the design and the projects which are like pretty expired
Probably the best Indian grocery store in the Eastern suburbs.
Well stocked (grocery and fridge section) and neatly organised. They also have good selection of mithai which is a bonus, just like good customer service.
Other stores I have tried tend to be unorganised and don't have stock of common items.
Don’t go here. Although Customer Service was great, THEY ARE SELLING EXPIRED PRODUCTS we were super surprised with the ‘reduced price’ that we bought it (trusting the store) I got home only to find that it was expired in APRIL 2020 almost 1 year ago! Disappointed.
You will get most of the indian grocery and kitchen essentials here but prices are on higher side compare to most of the Indian stores.
I have been to this shop several times. This is a very small family operated business. They have a lot of varieties of Indian products. I have been to several other indian grocery stories nearby, but they didnt have as many products. I mainly come here to buy hair dye.
As I knew that it will be expensive but still I went to the store after a very long time, I bought paneer which cost me actually more than 35% compartively other Indian store near by Pakenham named as Pride Punjab, quite disappointed think I won't go again? , seriously disappointed.
The man in the counter was very rude. He was angry just because I asked if they have any extra sweet except the one on display. Won’t recommend and won’t be back again.
Used to go there regularly and bulk buy for our Business. Going down hill since old Manager GREWAL left the job. Old manager worked hard to lift the game. It’s new people now (specially manager from Dandenong Store) providing zero customer service. Highly inflated prices, expired products. Going downhill and well deserved.
Hopefully will learn and try to fix mistakes. (Might be too late by than)
Never buy from here. They sell expired items for lesser price. The pickles were expired on march 2019, but was still sold at reduced price
It's quite good, especially for people who cannot cook. Whenever you but something do not hesitate to take the larger pack because overall it will help u save. Good indian products but they can include more products and also something from different companies.
I drive all the way from Mordialloc to get my favorite Henna from this shop. I always end up with a bag full of goodies as well. Smells amazing as soon as you walk in.
Great customer service, good selection of Indian sweets, incense and rice. Not a wide selection of South Indian items, but is to be expected for a small store. Good for your essentials!
