Independent Disability Services (IDS) reviews
8Once was a good organisation it once had had good support now it has the worst support
Becareful of this agency.wil never recommend using this agency.they do not listen to their clients.
It not just a service it a wonderful life this service has given me a sense of life and I am really appreciate
If I could give 0 stars I would,
Horrible people who are definitely not trained in what they do,
*EDIT*
I never had a manager come out and discuss any needs with me as my review didn’t even mention whether or not I was a client or worker, please don’t lie and say you have tried fixing things as there is nothing that has been fixed.
We have ended services with IDS and have found another organisation.
Clients are never listened to
Support workers either never show up or cancel at the last minute.
Never notified about anything going on, and if you try to escalate anything it doesn’t go anywhere falls on deaf ears.
Extremely disorganised business.
Very dysfunctional. I had a very negative experience because of how disorganised the whole agency is. You can hardly understand what there HR person is saying. After I had to cancel my interview twice due to family emergency involving my kids, which I communicated to them and they said is fine. I finally attended the last interview scheduled, but there was no interview, even though I called before I left my house. The lady Sarah kept asking me how i found there office and I showed her the email where she wrote there office address, but she still seemed not convinced. Kept trying to make it seem like I was stalking there place of work. What an outlandish suggestion, nobody have time for that.
The Sarah lady assured me that they will reschedule, only for her to send me an email a couple of days later that they have withdrawn my application, so obviously she is a liar. Anyway, good luck if you choose to work for them, you are going to need it.
Honestly a mixed bag. Some workers are great, others have been not particularly competent (we use them mainly for home help/cleaning) All nice people though. Our main complaint is the regular, (at least once a fortnight), cancellations, on the day, often with no phone call - whilst if we have to cancel, a lot of notice has to be given or we still get charged. Not very reliable to be honest, and we've been with them for a few years. Considering changing providers in all honesty.
My sister uses IDS for home supports and she could not be happier. They are thoughful, responsive and always put her needs first. Lovely to deal with too. Five stars!
