IMMI Dumpling Bar

Was very excited to hear that a Dumpling bar was opening in Mordialloc and I finally got to go on the weekend. Let's start with the positives: dumplings were very nice, as was the rice and noodles. Now for the negatives: very poorly staffed and it is obvious that they either have never worked in a restaurant or have very limited experience. When food eventually came out of the kitchen you could see the staff looking for the tables and actually counting - to make things easier have numbers on the tables - on three occasions I saw food go to the wrong tables! It took way to long for our order to be taken and it was only because we flagged a waitress down that we managed to order. While the food was good - it wasn't excellent and the prices are quite high for the amount you got. The staff that were on kept on apologising and you could see they were visibly upset that people were made to wait a long time to be served and to get fed. In hindsight you probably shouldn't have opened until you had a full compliment of staff, because I know that if things don't improve it will not do well. Good Luck!

Clean and modern restaurant. Friendly staff. This is some of the best dumplings we've ever had. The meat fillings were on the point and tasted really fresh. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!

Our first time here at IMMI and we where very impressed with the quality of food, the dumplings tasted amazing, and I’m sure all there other dishes do also, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are very pleasant. Definitely will be coming back again. We met the manager Jo who was very lovely.

This place is so good. We had lunch there yesterday. Everything was delicious and we were able to take the leftovers home for lunch today.

Was looking forward to eating at this place last night. Very clean restaurant with nice modern decor. Service was friendly.
We waiting about 15 minutes before anyone took our food order. We also watched the couple next door to us get up and leave because no one took their order for over 20 minutes.
Food potions were very small and for the high price it is not acceptable to have none of the dishes garnished.

Some of the dishes were salty while others were bland. Yes I did notice the freshness of the ingredients but the taste was not quite right.

Admittedly the restaurant was packed out and it's a new restaurant. Maybe you couldn't handle the crowds of customers but with the right staff in place you will be able to serve everyone just fine.

Main street in Mordialloc has plenty of competition and most of the restaurants are of very high quality both in service and food offerings. Charge the higher price but make sure you deliver on exceptional service and food quality and presentation.

If you don't make positive changes now you will end up like dumplings delish with 1 - 2 customers per night.
I accept your reply Jhonny. I know how hard it is to run a restaurant. I worked in my father's restaurants all my life. You need to listen to customer feedback. It absolutely is a good thing.

I hope I will give your restaurant another try one of these days soon. I am looking forward to seeing the positive changes you will make.

Went to their soft opening, food is delicious, their dumplings is the best I never had, very juicy and tasty, staff is friendly, and the shop they design is quite fashionable, definitely will come back again! Love love love

Perfect dumplings bar with good menu, Yummy dumplings, tasty good.very friendly staff. Will go back for more.
