Generally speaking, the reception of patients leaves a lot to be desired. Not one person of the four sitting nearest to the door made eye contact with me or anybody else waiting for attention. Three of the four were speaking into headsets but an acknowledgment of our presence would have been possible without them being distracted from the caller. The fourth not on the phone had head down and did her best to ignore me and the people behind. When I was finally received that person (refused to look at the form I had provided) insisted I give my name (which I did). Then asked for my date of birth which I provided by showing my licence. Only after I had placed my licence into my wallet did she ask for my address. Again I pulled out my licence. Perhaps training in privacy and discretion might be provided. And explain to staff any number of reasons why a person would not want to give details orally in a crowded waiting area.

Just as an aside; the appointments for PRP injections are arranged for 15 minutes after the time they tell you. Sure, that might work well for their schedule but appointments the patient may have afterwards are potentially screwed.

I firstly was referred here from my friend who has worked at capital in footscray for over 20 years and told me they bulkbill as she knows I am a single mother and was trying to help me. I called and the lady told me they are the only capital that bulkbill and have the license and said the earliest she could get me in was 2 weeks away. I booked it in as I spoke to my friend who could get me in tomorrow but made me aware I would have to pay for the mri but not the nuclear scan I needed so seing im so desperate to get things rolling amd get my life together being in do much pain I booked in the appointment which then meant I called his capital back to cancel the appointment. A man by the name of Brian answered and I apologised but needed to cancel as I could get in earlier elsewhere. He then said to me that he wasn't sure who had told me that they couldn't get me in earlier but he could offer me an appointment for the mri on the same day at 7.30pm. I thanked him so much. So my poor dad after a long day if seing my specialist and in intense pain took me and as I was filling pit the paperwork the lady said are you aware of the fees. I saud excuse me but I was told it's a bulkbilling clinic and it would be bulkbilled. I was already booked for the 3rd and when I called to cancel it cos I got in elsewhere and was happy to pay as I knew I had to and was told but Brian said he could fit me in earlier I then cancelled my mri for prior day which meant I was only going for nuclear test and habe mri bulkbilled. The lady saud the bulkbilled room are full. I then told her well that wasn't my problem amd she then called Brian and told him what the situation was. Well I was told I had to pay and I literally was so desperate that I left amd told them I rather leave and pay whom I was going to and get my results a day later then pay those who tried taking advantage. This is disgusting and misleading. I've reported this and will call head office. Both footscray and sunshine are appalled and they will be filing a report. Why would I cancel an appointment I told Brian I had the next day and had to pay if I knew I had to pay there when I still had to go the next day for a nuclear scan. This could go on. Appalling.

After seeing so many specialists for the last four weeks to understand what was wrong with me, I have to say that this place was so incredible. I was so scared and my head was all over the place, therefore having Dr Chris Lawson and the lovely lady that explained everything that was going to happen to me, made me laugh and feel at ease, it was so wonderful.
I also have to say a big thank you to the nurses. I was in the room relaxing after my cortisone injection and watched the nurses in and out of the room looking after so many people. It was nice to see that even though they were so busy, they were having a laugh, loving each other's company and had each other's back, as every nurse was making sure I was ok. A special thank you to the nurse that 'helped' me to reception. You were fabulous. Thank you to the team at Imaging @ Olympic Park, you turned a really scary visit into a few laughs for my sister and I.

Going for an MRI is not my most favorite thing, but the staff here made it way better than I was expecting. Brice on reception was lovey, I called a few hours before my appointment to check a few things. He was knowledgeable and kinda.
I interacted with two other staff whose names I unfortunately cannot recall, they were the technicians running machine, they were both professional, incredibly efficient at the job and really put me at ease.
I have already recommended to a friend to go there for their upcoming testing.

Very unprofessional service, rang them to confirm MRI that was booked 10 days ago and the staff said we have no bookings under your details and next available date is after 2 weeks. Sophie was so unprofessional and rude. Would not recommend

Was booked in for an MRI in error when I called to request an ultrasound. After taking time off work to attend the appointment I was told it was too late in the day to get an ultrasound and would need to rebook and come back. The desk attendant’s defensive and rude attitude made it clear she considered me to be in error, and that my inconvenience was somehow more of an inconvenience to her. Beware the rudeness and incompetence of this imaging centre, and their higher than average charges.

Who ever booked me didn’t realise that I needed a paediatric ultrasound despite date of birth 2022, came to the appointment to be told they don’t do paediatric US… it’s probably one of the best places for imaging, just make sure you do the receptionist job and confirm every singe thing you need. To be fair, the receptionist on the date of the appointment was super helpful assisting booking the us at another location.

The clinic is like every other clinic, HOWEVER.
My interactions with the receptionists are always pleasant and easy, Jordan particularly!
Last time I booked she was especially patient and understanding. 5 stars!:) I hope she's well appreciated

Had issue booking in as they stated the referral was not sent. My wife organized it again so she could book.
Came to appointment and was told they didn't have the referral. I spent over 1/2 hr reorganizing it so the scan could be done. Then turned out they had it the whole time.
Finished scan and went to pay. Told the service was bulk billing.
Received a phone call 3 hrs later at 7pm and told they had made another mistake and needed over a $300 payment or they would not release the report from the scan.
Absolutely terrible customer service and a company with employees who don't know what they are doing. A 1 start rating is even too high.

Today, I was bringing my elderly and disabled father in for an urgent appointment required for brain surgery.

We were 12 minutes late (due to my father not quite understanding the concept of time). He also walks very slowly and its a long walk to the door from the car park. (70-100M)

Over the course of being 12 minutes late we received 2 calls from this place, at the time of the appointment and then 10 minutes later.

My father was so flustered by their calls that he almost fell over twice in trying to jog (but more like shuffle) with his walking stick that he fell on to my twice, where thankfully I was there to catch him - which isn't always the case.

Then when we arrived the young lady explained that they were really busy and that only one third of the scans would be undertaken.

I explained to the receptionist his very serious condition and that these are urgent tests (the referral clearly states URGENT), and the receptionist continued to insist that he must come back one week later.

This almost brought me to tears - having a sick father, urgently requiring serious medical treatment, and then being stone walled by an unempathic receptionist - with zero regard for my father's health, and showing little concept of the relative and health implications of her, or the organisation's stance taken.

I was quite distressed and phoned my sister and we are both managing his health togethor. Thankfully she knows how to deal with people like this a lot better than I do.

Eventually they agreed to do all three scans, rather than push back his surgery and further tests an entire week or more for being 12 minutes late.

Words can not properly explain how this ordeal made me, my father and my sister feel. Here is a photo of the very busy venue.

Friendly and efficient administrative and technical staff, if a little rushed, but I'm more than happy to be in and out sooner rather than later.

Medicare bulk billed if you meet the standard eligibility criteria, free parking (speak to admin staff).

Not recommended. Took seven days to send an ultrasound report with significant findings (condition requiring surgery) to my GP. Scan was performed on a Thursday, and the radiologists report is timestamped at lunchtime the next day, yet my GP (who was named as the addressee) did not receive this report until the following Thursday.

Administrative failure is not an excuse for leaving someone in pain for a week. The managers of IOP (aka Capital Radiology) evidently need a reminder that turnaround time includes report delivery time.

I don't often write reviews, but given this centre has such a strange large array of very positive and very negative, I wanted to give my honest, no nonsense review of the experience.
I called on a Thursday afternoon to book an ultrasound, had to wait on hold for a few minutes but once through, the receptionist was perfectly kind and helpful. Booked in for the following Monday. Upon arrival, once again, the receptionist I dealt with was as friendly as you'd expect. She was the only one there at the time and was on a call but made sure to give me a 'sorry, be right with you' when she could. No problems checking in. After that, I had no problems with the service. Didn't have to wait too long, the medical practitioner was very kind, helpful, informative. Parking ticket validated so it was free and I was on my way. When I left there were a few more people at reception, so maybe it depends on who you get, but I had no dramas with the two I dealt with.

I had a nerve ablation procedure performed here 2 months ago which has left me unable to move 2 of my toes.

Prior to the procedure, I asked if there was any possibility of this happening and was told NO there was not because they were "burning a sensory nerve not a motor nerve" so there would be no loss of function.

Immediately following the procedure I was told to give it a couple of weeks to the function to return. After a fortnight it was the same so they asked me to return for an Ultrasound. I was told that there was inflammation around the nerve which was causing the loss of movement and numbness, and that it would heal over the next month or two.

I returned to my referring doctor at the 8 week mark (my foot was exactly the same) and they hadn't even been in touch, she had no reports or copies of ultrasounds etc.

It has now been two months and I am exactly the same. Not only did this procedure not fix the initial injury, it has caused another new injury which also means I now can't get further treatment for my initial injury. I wish I had never been to this place and seen these people who have butchered my foot.

To make this worse, I emailed the clinic 5 days ago to let them know all this and asked what they do in these situations and they haven't even responded. I am now filing a complaint for medical negligence.

IN RESPONSE TO THE BELOW:
You don't take it seriously though, because if you did you would have responded to the email I sent you outlining all this over a week ago. You have my full name, but you're requesting that I call you to "arrange a time to discuss" or that I email you (for the third time) instead of just picking up the phone and calling me yourself, or responding to my initial email?

BTW, I did already speak to your staff on the phone yesterday, however a receptionist can hardly comment on any of the above, and I asked the practice manager phone me, which hasn't happened yet.

I had a CT guided hydrodilatation. All team members were wonderful. The whole process of imaging was pretty quick, and the doctor who did the procedure was brilliant. Virtually no pain! Hardly felt a thing (Connell is the one - superb!)

Great service, very experienced people. Though reception do leave people standing while chatting amongst themselves, a little confusing where ro stand to be attended to. Overall knowledgeable people doing injections etc, very nice premises

I went in for a routine scan. Staff had booked my scan incorrectly. Was only a minor thing but could have been a problem for some people. Service wise staff were great. Decor inside is modern. Parking in available down the side of the stadium. The technician who did my scan was very good and the process was easy. My only real gripe was the reminder text didn’t have my appointment time in it. It just had the date. But service wise was fine and would attend again if needed.

The girls are so nice and helpful! I drove a 2 hours to get there on the wrong day, and they managed to fit me in so I didn't have to come back the next day. Super nice, super helpful and professional. Thanks very much.

Great imaging centre. Staff were professional, courteous and efficient. Arrived early and was brought in early for my MRI so I didn’t have to wait. Parking validated without needing to ask. Conveniently located in AAMI park with plenty of parking. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing imaging services.
