Ilim College Dallas Main Campus

If i could give this a school a 0 rating i would a girl tried to kill me and they are letting her back in the school does that not say enough? Its like once you get in the school its like a jail cell I thought this school was good but its really not but there are so many fights and the girls just pick fights with other students for no reason what so ever, the school cares more about your uniform than your learning the education here is extremely bad im learning things that i learnt when i was in year 6, the teachers talk horribly about the students in there language the teachers are racist they only like the turks and they hate the arabs.the classrooms are discsting and they just throw us in a small little box for 3 hours straight not letting us to go get water and go to the toilet and the AC and Heater DONT work what so ever. The school cares so much about there reputation to the parents and they just try and impress them ilim looks good from the outside but on the inside of ilim is so bad so please dont come to this school this is a waste of your teenage years and the only good campus is the glenory primary once you enter high school i adivse you to leave this school ASAP!

My child was accused of cheating bc she passed her test, she got 57%! You’d think she would aim higher if she were to teach. Her proof she wss away on day of test so she could have gone around asking for the answers!
And when she marks she takes into consideration whole year’s performance in class thats how she graded her test. She made her te do it with no warning no explanation and when she did bad that was thrown in her face “this is proof you cheated!
Seriously defies logic.

As a parent of a child who attended ilim dallas girl campus. I have to say I'm really disappointed in this school they care only about their reputation. They don't help students with future careers advice. If they think you are not "capable" of doing a subject they don't let you do it. If you are planning to do vce go to another school where every child matters and are given opportunities to succeed, Not limited to what teachers think you are capable of doing or achieving.

I'm not even joking, everyone in this school looks like males.i mistaked this school for the boys campus.

Never look forward to going to this school everyday ik everyone's saying to be thankful and it is a better school compared to other schools but it's wayyy too harsh. Yes the purpose for school is to learn but if a person is going to go to the same place for a long time they shouldn't do what they are doing now. Turkish students get everything and ppl r saying some year levels have attitude and are tbs, well maybe yes but that has nothing to do with the school being bad and the teachers do teach but when students care about there education and try to deal with a teacher who they are not learning from, the school shuts them out. Not right. And no there is no drugs or that kind of stuff here. But the teachers take tiny things way too seriously. They make little things like walking in the school with blazer so important they forget that this is a school for education not a place where kids come to get points. They teach the students no body is perfect but put points for every possible wrong thing in the world. Hello. I'm not good lie you do learn here, but way more bad that good things too say about this school. They do try to improve the school with a new library and new classroom which is good. I'm not gonna say don't take your kids to this school, just be warned.

Okay let’s be real most of the people here who are writing these reviews are salty students who received a few negative points from the teachers. These peasants are extremely ungrateful swines, and should actually appreciate that they have the ability of attending an Islamic school and to have a proper (somewhat proper) education, unlike some who unfortunately don’t have the privilege.
Now I’m not saying ilim is an amazing 5/5 star school, because it really ain’t. I mean ilim’s VCE classes are okay but for some subjects they pick teachers who don’t have all the qualifications to teach the subject, I mean most of the time I’m teaching myself. So yes an improvement in the selection of teachers would be great. Other than that ilim has really good facilities provided, yet I’m quite disappointed that they don’t let students use the elevator, I mean come on going up the stairs everyday gets tiring. Also I’d like to address how the girls campus has the bootleg computers in the I. T lab while the guys campus have brand new fully functioning Mac desktops, so please get ours changed too.
Can I also just say how much attitude these year 7s 8s and 9s have because honestly the school has failed them. The amount of rudeness they give to the teachers is disturbing. They walk around the school like they own it and act like little tbs who roll their pants up trying to be rebels or something, so please someone put them into place.
The school also doesn’t put enough effort when it comes to our Quran classes, because in lower secondary I literally memorised the same surah over and over, and the teacher was too naive to realise that, so a little more effort in that department is necessary not going to lie. Overall it’s an alright school, chicken nuggets at the canteen are a little dry and the fact we have to pay for tomato sauce is a little shocking and stingy, but still a good school ;)

Ilim College in a nutshell:
Overpriced canteen food, terrible teaching system, no facilities, horrible students, creepy teachers and very unislamic when they call itself an islamic school. We learnt *script writing* for English in highschool, what is this? Acting and peformance school or what? Just enroll your children to a public school for primary (so they could at least enjoy their time there and learn actual fundemental skills) and do whatever you want in highschool other than getting them enrolled in Ilim College. All this school wants is money and does not do anything with it. We had the "biggest" morning tea and it was absolute horrible. The only useful thing I learnt in this school was how to vandalise school property (they dont even do anything about the vandalism, they probably dont even notice it, theres just too much vandalism that you wouldnt know if the vandalism was there from before or not. Never knew the teachers are living in their own worlds right now).

These are only a FEW of MANY problems.

Honestly this school is trash, I feel like there are too many reasons of why this school is horrible.
The teachers in Quran don’t teach you anything, they expect you to know everything before you come, they want you to learn a whole verse in a single period.
The classrooms are always so dirty, people are always throwing paper in the classroom, the blinds don’t work, actually there aren’t any blinds. The windows are so large that when we watch a video, we can’t see anything.
We pay so much for excursions and for our luck we only went on two excursions this year in year seven.
Apparently the camp for year seven is terrible, there are spiders and people are not safe, what if they are allergic? The teachers will not care whatsoever.
The teachers at this school don’t teach anything, they only stand in front of the students and yell, because they get paid to do so.
The spelling words we get are for year three students, even preps get spelling words, it’s unbelievable.
The canteen prices are way out of the budget for these innocent young students, we even pay 30 cents for a fork, like, that should be free. The cheapest thing on the menu is 50 cents, at my old school the cheapest thing was 5 cents. The canteen workers don’t know what you say, they speak in Turkish half the time and expect students, mostly Arabs to know what they are saying. The canteen workers only give discounts to Turks, which is rude because most students at Ilim are Arab.
For the high school students, there is a ridiculous point system. If your scarf is not pinned up properly then it is considered wrong uniform and the consequence is up to 3 points, if you forget your blazer, once again you get 3 points. If you get 10 points you get a detention, if you get 20 points you get an after school detention, 30 is a suspension and 80 gets you expelled.
We pay 350+ dollars for oxford books that we hardly ever use, they are extremely heavy and are really irritating on the first day of school when you have to bring all of your books.
The lockers are really small, they hardly have room for your books and your bag, which is horrible because the books are unnecessarily large.
There are too many reasons why this school is horrible.

Only 1 out of 3 students in this 'muslim school' actually know how to read quran. Their kids are literally mentally retarded. The only good classes academically in the school are the VCE classes. Send your child here if you want them NEVER to get a job. All the kids they don't show on the posters are fried.

I love this school, i wish i can give more than 5 stars. Kids that come to this school should be thankful because this school has the best islamic Education.

They can put one campus through a goth phase. But can't replace a few broken/missing blinds in another.

Such a bad school don't waste your money on it they care more about uniform then education my son goes to a public school and his learning more then my other son that goes to this **** school, we have to pay for excursion levying and they take you to 1 if your luck 2 excursions and the school there's so much more.the moral of the story is don't take your child/children to this school WASTE OF MONEY! (One star was the lowest I can give)
