I have been ordering from Il Castellos for a few years now, but ended up going somewhere else about a year or so ago just because I felt it was becoming a bit average. We got some last night from the new owners, the pizza is SO much better, staff are friendly, hygienic practices are being used and decent price! This will become my new spot again. Thank you!

It's a Friday night iv called 4 times and they don't pick up I'll give my money to some one else

My partner and I got pizza from here on our first date and it was absolutely amazing the owner even brought it out to the car for us. So for valentines day today we thought we would re-live our first date and came back. I ordered a pepperoni and asked them to make a love heart out of the pepperoni and they went above and beyond, I couldn't be more grateful for the effort they put in, it really made our valentine's day special and we will never go anywhere else to get pizza again. I couldnt recommend coming here more!

what I got tonight was not a family pizza i ordered family size pizza costing $21 what i got was the size of a large pizza the base was paper thin i think paper would have been thicker was one of the worse pizza I have from there

This little pizza shop is an absolute delight! It’s the best in town! The prices are fantastic and the staff go above and beyond to make sure customers leave full and happy. I will be telling all my friends and family to support this great business and I look forward to coming back!

Was a loyal customer. But after tonight was extremely disappointed. The BBQ chicken was mostly chunks of fat and bbq sauce and hardly any cheese and the carlic cheese pizza had hardlt any cheese. I know the business is cutting costs and I feel for you. But I would happily pay more for an original and better tasting pizza than what we got. For now you have lost a customer.

Do not order here, they let their cat roam around the kitchen. Foul language and my nieces friend worked here, hygiene is disgusting and don’t order if you have allergies. They don’t switch gloves for foods. One time someone accidentally put prawns on a pizza for someone who had an allergy and the manager said “just pick it off” FERAL place go out of business and save us all!

Don’t eat here if you want your pizzas to be good. This place is the opposite of a friendly workplace with delicious food. Don’t work here if you want a nice and healthy work environment, because you will get abused and paid less than minimum wage.

The owners are rude and selfish, and believe they are in the right almost all of the time. DO NOT EAT HERE, AND DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS WORK HERE IF THEY ARE LOOKING FOR JOBS.

I bought the ribs and chip meal tonight, oh my god, the meat falls straight off the bone and the flavour of the lamb is so flavoursome. Best value meal you can buy for $15.50 around the area. Very highly recommend going here for the ribs. Great meal Debbie and Danny well done. You will see my again very soon for more of your delicious ribs

Had a problem with an order through Doordash owner's were very helpful with handling doordash head office and they made us the whole order free of charge very chill people highly recommend going into store

Disgusting Pizza. It's like eating a loaf of bread. Bases aren't good and sauce is not freshly made. Cheapest ingredients

Wasnt sure what to expect as was only place open, but seems as though most bad reviews are delivery related as the pizza is the only local true italian pizza and i loved it, genuinely surprised but glad i went through with the order.

The absolute BEST pizzas I have ever had! There is so much topping, always fast & hot delivery, the staff are amazing, super friendly & the price is also really reasonable! My favourite Pizza shop in South East Melbourne!

The food is great! But just under 2 hours for a delivery… I called 3 times to follow up, was told my delivery would take 30minutes- 1 hour…. When I live 4 minutes drive away. I tried to communicate that the time frame is horrendous because if they were delivering 30 minutes away (30 minute return =1 hour) the area they would cover would be as far away as Black Rock, Pakenham and Rosebud ….
So they must have multiple deliveries… which places the safety of the food in question because an hour travelling makes the food unsafe. I was told only 2 deliveries taken at a time. I was then told my delivery had left…
Yet it still took 31 minutes from that phone call for the delivery to arrive.

However, when the unqualified drivers rocked up, I asked them
If the food would be safe, and why were they late, they were abusive, rude, disrespectful and offensive. They said they had only just left 10 minutes ago, despite the customer service lady stating to me they had left prior. So clearly, someone was lying. The food was hot. So it’s evident the customer service lady has ZERO experience in customer service and LIES to customers. Was also told I would have a phone call back, to find out where the driver was. That never happened. I waited out in the cold for over an hour for lies.

The food may be amazing but the service is below gutter. The treatment of paying customers is full of disrespect.

No Audit or comment will change their business behaviour for the better. The weight added to the issues already displayed via comments and feedback is warranted.

If this venue thinks 30minutes - 1 hour delivery time from leaving venue is safe, I wonder if the Food Health Act and the Local Council will have the same view.

I love the food but the customer service is atrocious and woeful. They have screwed over people who would have faith in them.

My only avenue is to never again order from this place and encourage others to NOT order from this place. They do NOT value customer service, customers, service or the industry they are in.

Sad and disappointing because their food is incredible. Such a shame and a waste of what could be a great local business. Alas, it is not.

Save your Money! Order elsewhere

As a Pizza manager 25 years ago;
With experience on what Area Managers require to give the restaurant a score out of 100- I was given the exact same outstanding & reliable service of 4/5 years ago. (and then some)
This is a keeper!

I ordered a chicken schnitzel with a salad for delivery 2 times. Both those times they have consistently gotten it wrong. The salad wasn't there and the drinks we had ordered weren't there either. The second schnitzel was horribly burnt.

When I attempted to tell the delivery woman that we had ordered drinks, she dismissed me and went on about how she was the one who took our order, and therefore knows what we did and didn't order.

Overall, horrible experience.

Best Pizza in town and the owners are the best, both my husband and myself have covid, we ordered pizza for dinner, they not only delivered the best pizza but also added garlic bread to make us feel better ️‍? The delivery driver was also very sweet and asked how we were both feeling.
