IKEA Richmond Restaurant reviews
27Always had their classic meatballs and we know that it’s great.but tried some other menu items. The pork ribs is awesome! Grab some extra bbq sauce in the sauce section and it’s all good to go! Meat is tender. Nothing wrong with the fish and chips, but wouldn’t be the highlight (could be good for a lighter meal). The cinnamon roll is really nice, daim cake is sweeter but satisfying.
We were in on Saturday. I have never seen the food so empty. They seemed to have nothing on the shelves with one side being almost completely empty. No Wraps, no salmon salad plates, no potato salad, no cinnamon buns, no garlic bread and not much of anything. They were either short staffed or just couldn't be bothered. The meals we had were below average at best. It use to be so much better but ive noticed it really not nearly as good as it use to be. Dissapointed.
Eating Swedish meatballs is all part of the IKEA shopping experience. I love the taste of the caramel (or condensed milk?) in the Daim cake - it's my guilty pleasure!
IKEA also offers exciting sparkling flavoured (lingonberry, pear, elderflower) soft drinks on tap now.
Post covid, the standard of the food has become poor. Meetballs are now passable, but anything related to fried seafood is truly awful, and why is it always just tepid? Come on Ikea pick up your game.
Always love a couple of the $2 pork hotdogs after a long shop through Ikea. Lots of great products along the way to the delicious reward at the end
Always had IKEA since I was a kid, had the salmon, was cooked quite nice, potatos were quite hard, The desert was good and atmosphere was nice, would go again as it's quite a cheap feed for what you get
Best breakfast and lunch in my area great dining area and great views of the surrounding suburbs

Frustrated servers at the cafe yelling when asked to confirm if the dish is vegetarian.
Service has gone down the drains at the kitchen.
No bottled water. No packaged water. Food always in short supply. Inefficiently managed at the kitchen. Maybe time to get a new contractor for the kitchen.
I liked the IKEA plant balls which are vegan and vegetarian friendly, but was annoyed to find out that the mashed potatoes contain dairy. Please make this more clear on the menu, and include a dairy-free option.
A good place where you can just chill and relax and have something to eat. Very clean and easy to find a table.
IKEA Restaurant makes for a unique experience and I thoroughly enjoy the food and smoothies. I particularly like plant balls with mashed potato, peas & cranberry, vegetable ball pasta, vegetable curry & DAIM (almond & chocolate with caramel pieces) cake. I like to go to IKEA when I’m at Victoria Gardens and I am very grateful for its existence.
It's just not that great for its price nowadays $17 for two items of food which were under seasoned and mass produced.
Their new Strawberry flavoured soft-serve is a bit sour and tastes like a sorbet. Didn’t expect it, since their normal vanilla one was very creamy and sugary.
It was a surprise - good to know they have another option available (but more expensive than their normal vanilla)!
I’ve eaten here a couple of times and the food is consistently. Had the salmon salad this time round and it was lovely.
Plant balls last time, they were great, almost just like eating the regular meatballs.
One of my favourite places to go. Veggie sausage wrap was super yummy and I loved the potato salad. Mousse has a nice strong flavour. Perfect end to the meal. Get to shop at IKEA too, so win win.
I hate the service
They are out of stock in 30 minutes And don’t even really put cinnamon buns back in stock.
Excellent 5 star level food at street prices, self service situated on 3rd floor. I was amazed at the quality of the food and the way they manage.the seating area with cushions is remarkable.you just have to choose the items, add it your tray and get to check out counter, they will provide all required cutlery etc.affordable prices
I didn’t enjoy foods at Ikea restaurant at all. Meatballs was much better and more eatable than Salmon plate. All foods including vegetable sides had no taste. I felt like I am having food in an Aged care facility. However, the place was so clean and friendly staff was cleaning the tables all the time.
Thanks
Aren't offering meatballs any more, just plant balls. Totally appreciate giving people a choice, but come on the meatballs are famous, forcing plant balls on people. Not cool.
