IGA X-press Mills Street reviews
18Can’t stress how friendly and lovely all the staff are. Great variety of things that you wouldn’t usually find in an IGA. Very happy that it’s our local shop
Two stars as the coffees are good, but seriously, the food is often out of date or about to out of date…. Every single time.
Get better at this guys. We have asked you to look at your dates before a few times. It’s not ok. You can poison people with out of date food.
Well this used to be an old and pretty much rundown corner milk bar before being turned into this beautiful, new and very modern IGA X-press store and attached cafe. The best thing about the old milk bar was the sandwiches and the South Melbourne Market dim sims that it used to sell but now there are heaps more great products on sale including groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, liquor and snacks and pet food.
Having Mr Danks Cafe right next door is perfect for grabbing a coffee when shopping.
Great staff, huge range and open when I need them most (and their cafe is awesome, great coffee)
Closed at 10: 50pm Saturday 25/6?
Store hours say open til 11? Which is it?
Check your security cameras! I’ll be mentioning this to the lovely owner next time I see him!
I’m sure he will be disappointed to hear his shop closing before it’s supposed to!
And thanks for wasting my time!
Probably the best selection of high end whiskies south of the Yarra. Extensive fresh produce, and the homemade to-go pies and sausage rolls are absolutely delicious
Customer service is kinda racist. White customers gets a smiley “Hi. How are you? ”. The man in the cashier didn’t even look at my face or bother to say anything.
Best range, service, range and always treated so kindly. A step above the rest and a beacon for independents in Melbourne. Love them.
The owners & staff here are amazing. Great coffee, fresh juices and food all round. Love their cauliflower pies & pasties too!
Staff very friendly and good range BUT very very expensive.
I puchased a bag of potatoes, an avocado and two quarters of pumpkin and it cost $27.11. Potatoes $7/Avocado $5 / Pumpkin pieces $7.50 each. That was a deal breaker for me.
Excellent local IGA. The old Deli on this site made a mean borek but I've been a happy regular visit since this much needed supermarket was built. Schulz milk stockists warm my latte heart.
Great convenience store with a wide variety of groceries. There's a small bakery section that's surprisingly good, a little take away Cafe that makes great coffee and off licence with great selection of wine and beer.
Forget Middle Park IGA this one ticks all
the boxes. Great product, super friendly people and wonderful service. They make a nice long black and skinny chai and just today when I purchased some vacuum packed ham they didn’t think it was up to scratch and went and got me a new one, which I have to admit looked better than the one I picked. Very impressed.
Not impressed with manners, and picture shows flowers but none.
More interested in talking to each other.
Amazing sitout, variety of food options, perfect choice in organic and daily groceries, wide range of liquor, ambience of the complete store. I just love shopping at this place. Great staff!
Great addition to the local area! Good for a too up shop when you don't want to go to the majors. Prices are not overinflated. A really great selection of wine (pretty much half the shop). There's an onsite cafe too.
Very convenient opening times - 7am to 11pm, 7 days a week. Also great coffee and sweet cakes, etc, which you can have seated. Staff also very helpful.
Great fit out but unfortunately staff are not very good. I do not want to wait for a couple of coffees to be made before I can pay for a loaf of bread.
The payment system seems over the top too - need to feed notes and coins in to a self service mechanism. And pay for a plastic bag.
One particular staff member seems to always be wandering around looking at stock instead of serving customers who are standing around waiting to catch someone’s attention.
Much more focus on customer service and engaging locals in a more friendly manner is required. Trust me, in this area, businesses come and go.
