IGA X-press reviews
21Actually has a decent range of groceries, unique meats and fresh fruit and vegetables. Prices are better than expected, you can find some items cheaper than Coles and Woolworths.
Always a great experience when shopping here. Great independently owned establishment, with very friendly owner and staff.
Staff are polite. But the stock rotation is terrible. They will charge near full price until the day of expiry and then reduce to clear on the day of expiry. These items should be removed from the shelf already.
A lot of the fresh produce is wilted and showing its age. They leave it out way too long before reducing to clear or disposing of the items.
Edit: reducing rating. On account of them storing sliced fruit out of the fridge and the staff clipping their finger nails at the register.
Their hygiene and food safety training is abysmal.
Such a reliable grocery in a busy area. They are always opened on public holidays and we appreciate their service.
Staff are always nice and friendly.
They also serve alcohol which is always helpful.
Been going there awhile
Yet the packers
Switch to security when there's someone picking there items.

New review 11/8/21: two staff members wearing masks on chin. One not wearing at all. Melbourne in lockdown and this is the best you can do? Hopeless.
Good variety for a local supermarket. Sometimes find the price at the register doesn't match the advertised price and often no receipt it given. So I only notice after leaving the store that I've been overcharged by a couple of dollars so best to check the prices add up in store!

It's a tiny supermarket and it's quite costly. Poor range of products. Some nice bottle shop specials sometimes. And I do love a bulk lollies scoop and weigh thing.
I had bought some watermelon from this IGA and realised it had gone off once I inspected it more closely at home. I returned the product with no worries but when I came back that afternoon to purchase some other items, I noticed the same piece of watermelon I had returned was for sale again.
These guys are willing to risk other people's health to save a few bucks.
Always take a receipt, they will charge you full price for items that are marked on special or will just do all sorts of errors and you can never go back to them unless you have a receipt. Just happened to me today, sadly I realized that too late and did not take a receipt this one time.
Already been about 2 years i have been doing shopping from this place
Asian staffs were really good
I saw a girl for the first time in the counter today.
She was the rudest staff i have ever experienced in my life. To be honest, she is not a right person for customer service.
I hope iga will put a better staff
Not worth going here with another iga at corner of Stewart street and Sydney road. Prices are more expensive and poorer quality. Fine if you're desperate and only needing a couple of things. Service is decent however.
Worst staff.she is just unbelievable, I always go the cashier guy when both of them are there.the lady needs to learn some manner.never gonna come again
The lady cashier (probably Indian descent) always gets rude and overcharge, which I was ignoring. Today as well she overcharged us thinking we will not know. I think she thinks we will not get caught out. She needs to learn about customer service.
Helpful guy at the counter helped me with looking for specific items. Happy with the customer service and items purchased. Thanks
Staffs are very non professionally trained. Very bad attitude to talk with customers. Had an incident with an Indian staff who is sexually misbehave with a female customer. IGA management should look at this matter very seriously.
Very friendly service they really make an extra effort for the locals! And trust me they'll remember you after you've been there more than a dozen times! Highly recommended, very wide range as such check the expiry date prior to purchase.
I go here because it's near where I live. I find the store layout a little confusing, and price wise it isn't the best.
Great range for a small local store. Lots of healthy, vegetarian and boutique options. Mixed prices (some more than health food and organic stores). But a great local. I'd do most of my local shopping there if the prices dropped a little.
