50Have been with I G now for some three years and never really needed anything from them and everything seems to just run along fine.until my laptop ceased and i lost passwords and so forth? Just called this morning and the first young girl fixed it no problem.pleasant and well mannered.well done I G if this is the same attitude across the company.
The policy of ONLY being able to speak to the 1st person who picks up the phone rather than specific departments can backfire spectacularly.
IG markets are great to deal with. I have been with them for about a 2 years, and my account manager Connor is fantastic. He is always there to take my call and is very professional, any issues are dealt with promptly. Highly recommend IG.

I have found them decently well compared to other brokers, data along with market moving alerts are quite good, and moving funds is efficient and smooth. Brokerage fees is also reasonable, which cuts costs for swing and day traders.

Good service, though, I can't understand that if they can provide an annual statement for CFD then why can't they provide same for share trading. It becomes so difficult for tax purposes.
Casey has always been terrific to deal with. Great communicator, who always provides timely and relevant information to help me be at my best. Highly recommend for all professional traders.
Great platform to use. The IG team is very responsive and proactive to my questions. They regularly follow up with me to make sure if there is any improvement to be done. I still enjoy the experience after a number of years with IG.
Within a short time of signing up with IG I began receiving numerous phone calls from Crypto Traders all over the world, on 1 occasion I received 10 calls in 1 day. Closed my account down however the calls continue and now I have no choice but to obtain a new mobile number. Not Happy!
Very poor customer service. I've called several times for various issues. The calls go overseas and the line gets cut off. Have to call them again. If they can't solve the issue they say they will get back but never do. On at least 5 occasions in the last week the call gets cut. Further, they have Pro Real Time software for trading CFDs. The integration is not good at all. Many issues and they can't resolve them. Looking to move to another broker. Will give them zero stars if I could.
I wanted to transfer in some holdings listed on a small exchange. IG is listed as a retail broker on the exchange website but IG repeatedly refused to transfer in my holdings. Very unhelpful staff. Don't be fooled by the positive ratings online, IG customer service is really not that great.
Extremely poor service. Everything they do is such a disappointment.
I been waiting for them to activate my account in total 43 days of waiting after confirming my identity to the account manager.
Had to call them myself, turns out they could not identify me since I moved to a new address, but why nobody call me or ask me to upload new documents?
And the account manager asked me to provide bills that shows my name on the new address, otherwise I will have to reapply my application if the account could not be fully activated after 45 days. I literally just moved in, how can I get any bills now?
No, I do not recommend IG Trading at all.
I was not happy with IG and sold everything I could. But there were a few companies I owned shares in but could not sell because they do not reach the minimum amount to sell, so I could not sell them.
I then took a pic of my account (nobody else would do that I guess, but I wanted to make sure it was VERY CLEAR what account was to be closed) and the remaining shares and sent it to IG to close my account for me.
They said they did and I was happy.
But then I get a notice 6 months later saying that they had to sell some of my shares to pay for the regular fee (for if you do not make enough trades for the period).
I emailed them multiple times explaining the situation.
But now, after more than a year, they still have not closed the account though I ring up and asked them to fix it due to being their mistake in the first place.
Now, I just called them and they tell me that now I have one stock left that has suspended it's trading, and I need to sell these whenever they come back online, in order to close my account.
So I said, then being that it was your fault in the first place, when that company starts trading again, you sell the shares and close the account, because you sure do not have any trouble selling my shares if you think I have not paid my fees.
He said "No, you have to take responsibility for your own shares. "
What? Because IG did not do as was requested and did not communicate that there was a problem, and in the year since, still have not taken any responsibility for the problem, you now TELL ME that I have to take responsibility?
Not only has their Support been useless, but they still adamantly refuse to take any responsibility.
No, I would not recommend them at all.
Dodgy is an understatement. Like all good scams its really easy to deposit your money.
When you try to withdraw it, good luck.
The sheer volume of hoops we are being asked to jump through is ridiculous.
They will make it extremely difficult for you to withdrawal your money! Lodged a complaint with AFCA as IG will do whatever they can to stop you withdraw your money! I have provided all required documents but IG is making all excuses not to return funds.
Probably the worst broker ever in Australia. I have been with them for a year+ but realized it late.

If you need anything resolved, good luck because no one within their customer service team will even bother looking at your query. They just kick the can down the road and hope that you will go away.
I recently opened an account with ig so that I could get tradingview pro+ for free after their team confirmed that I met all the terms and conditions for this promotion. Now, after a few months and multiple back and forth (phone calls and emails) they have turned around and said that I won't be eligible.
If anyone wants proof, I am happy to share copies of their emails. Moral of the story, if you get stuck with anything, you are on your OWN!
Very poor experience dealing with IG. I had been testing my strategy in their Demo account before I started trading live. After being told that their Demo account and live account are exactly the same. I put two trades on my Demo account and exactly the same two trades on my live account. The outcome was totally the opposite. I made over $800 on the Demo account and lost $175 on the live account. The trades behaved very different on both accounts. When I rang up customer disservice I was put on a long hold while they looked into it for me, then they just hung up the phone on me. Trying to get your money out is like a crab pot, very easy to get in but very hard to get out. Personally I would not recommend this broker as the service and Demo accounts are really a bad joke.

They love to make new excuse to not give customers money also love to bully customers and ignore emails.
