Icarus Coffee

Liked the interior (nature mixed vibe) here, great change after reno; perfect to chill with a coffee and some me time/ with a couple of friends.

This place has gone through some renovations and although we haven't tried the food, we tried the coffee here and was impressed with the barista's knowledge. Definitely will return to try what's on the menu. #friendlyservice #goodcoffee

The coffee was extremely well made and beautifully presented! Most homely filter coffee experience.

I have had at least 50 coffees at this cafe and in all those coffees there has been only 1 that wasn't amazing (it was good though). This is my go to cafe when I have run out of beans and it has passed my 'first coffee for the day' test every time (that means it HAS to be an excellent coffee). Just perfectly how I like my coffee, so if you like yours extra hot or super strong you may need to ask for that.

A v nice lil cnr oasis set in the burbs tucked away in a lil shopping strip set across from a decent community garden.
Hadn't spotted this one before so amazed i missed it. Worth a drop in as lil sweet & savoury treats & coffee so worth it.
Got to find out the roasted bean at point of coffee delivery too - not many do this to b sure.

Well! Incidently found this awesome kappi place. Definitely a go for traditional South Indian kaapi. Well served.

Soy latte is slightly too hot… be careful with the soy.

The re-opening and rebranding of this modern day Merlynston icon has been the greatest thing that 2022 has gifted us. The fabulous new cafe fit out at Icarus Coffee gives off major chillaxed vibes and in house roasting capacity showcasing Nikhil’s incredible passion, skill and expertise in the art of coffee have simply elevated what has always been merlo’s crown jewel cafe. The one thing that hasn’t changed? Visiting Nikhil for an excellent coffee and day brightening conversation is my favourite part of the day. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Icarus Coffee in 2023!

After a recent renovation the place looks great. Even better Nick is now roasting and blending his own coffee, all I have tried so far are spectacular. On top of all that an amazing selecting of pastries both sweet and savoury.
