I-MED Radiology Network reviews
33The lady at the front desk is terrible, due to the busy traffic, I arrived there at 8.04. She gave me a call and tried to guide me to the building, but she couldn't give me a clear instruction, so she guided me to the wrong direction, I cost eight minutes on the phone with her, and she still couldn't give me the correct info, and she said you wasted too much time, she has to reschedule the meeting. This is really rediculous.
Called yesterday 20min no answer. Booked on line said someone will cal within 1 day no call, called today 20min no answer! Obviously I neeed to actually walk in to make a booking!
Very easy and quick experience getting a dental x-ray. Everyone was very nice and clearly explained what was going on and how much everything would cost. ($71 for a dental x-ray with $40 back on Medicare). Much better experience than a different I-MED location in the northern suburbs.
Rating is for reception and poor admin process. Visited for a dental X-ray. Stood waiting at the counter for 7 minutes while the receptionist spoke to her colleague and continued to say "will be just a second". Inform the client to take a seat if you have an important lengthy conversation so they aren't standing around waiting for nothing. For security (obviously not mine) the receptionist had asked me to confirm my address, date of birth and full name verbally over the counter with other patients standing close by. She'd then go on to ask if I still lived in several other properties aloud which I'd sinced moved out of (this is sometimes a security question on government & banking documents to verify identity). Myself and the client immediately after me voiced concerns over this, some people don't feel comfortable saying the above in public spaces. The reaction by reception and even the practitioner seemed dismissive and annoyed after voicing concerns, indicating they're likely tired of the same conversation. All communication and my x-ray results were then sent to the private phone number of my parent who I haven't lived with in over a decade (assuming this number was provided for contact when I was much younger). I was then unable to access the x-ray results without the password sent to their number. My address listed on their system was also a decade old and even in a different state. Every issue I've addressed in this review could easily be fixed if your receptionist had handed me a client information form to fill in upon arrival, which would update & confirm my details prior to the appointment, like most other medical centres. Individually, these issues wouldn't have concerned me enough to write this review, however there were too many easily avoidable mistakes that showed a complete disregard to your customers security and time. Summed up in one word: unprofessional.
Absolutely lovely receptionist, kind and patient. Was very clear with every person I saw that they would be covered by Medicare or how much to pay. Technician Luke was very professional and gave clear instructions on how to stand for my dental scans and also informed me at the end when the scans would be delivered to my dentist. Great experience!
Never can get calls answered and the minimal holding time is 1hour. Maybe they should have a receptionist to answer some urgent phone calls?
A great medical imaging clinic. Had my ECHO done this morning at I-MED Radiology (Collins St location). Both the receptionist and my doctor, Dr Castro, were friendly and professional.
Had an uncomfortable ultrasound session lately.
- During the session, the radiologist put the arm on top of my body with the body weight. This made my arm and body so numb and unconformatable for the entire session. This unnecessary skin-to-skin physical touch and leaning weight could have been prevented by repositioning the bed.
- After the session, the transducer/probe was left uncleaned with used gel on it until I left. Not seeing it being cleaned right after the session raises concern about the hygiene practice.
- The mature receiption lady was nice and kind.
If it is not a specialised ultrasound then it is probably going to be okay. Ultra sound that was done was not of a good quality and the doctors had to request for another.
I've been visiting this clinic everytime I needed an xray for the past 10 yrs and attended appt at 4.15pm today. There is an opportunity for your radiologist to be more professional in communication with the client. The job can be done by a robot in this stoneage and there's a reason a human being has been given the job - so maintain the standards of a medical professional!
Went in for an OPG and was out within 20 minutes. The radiographer is very professional. 4 stars because the front desk should be more friendly, communicative and welcoming.
Radiology staff were good but reception staff were terrible and the reception supervisor blatantly lied to us about our appointment booking. Their online booking system is also terrible twice it let us book appointments that they didn’t actually do, will not go back again
My 18 y.o. Daughter attended i-MED at 250 Collins St.to have a simple X-ray of a broken finger. She was charged $75.00 for the service, which is bulk billed everywhere else we go.
We've not paid for an X-ray from our pockets for over 2 decades.only at i-MED.in the CBD.
Our unsuspecting, relatively inexperienced daughter was asked to pay, she didn't question it, thinking this was 'the norm'.
Upon calling i-MED to question it, they brushed us off, stating they were a private company & don't bulk bill.
Our surgeons rooms, whom recommended i-MED said that they have not experienced one of their referrals being charged for a X-ray before.
BE AWARE & check price prior to attending. Appears to be opportunism in practise.
Lovely experience, friendly staff, less waiting times, efficient service. Sonographer Jessica was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend
Went there with my wife for an ultrasound.the radiologist was very unfriendly, and did not explain anything about the results.
As a concerned parent to be we expected at least some information and a more friendly demeanor.not going there again.
Reception staff was kind enough to help me out when I dropped my referral on the way over and get another one sent over from my dentist. Radiology staff were friendly and guided me through each step. Afterwards reception were kind enough to give me a medical certificate to pass onto my employer.
Most amazing service, reception to the person doing the test were great. Highly recommend them.
I did Some X rays After getting a referral from a doctor. After the OPG was done, they did not give me the X rays and refuse to tell me anything about it also. They said they will be sending my GP all the information. Well they only send the doctor 2 sentence letter saying what was on the X-ray. Now that the dentists I’m seeing in my area, 50 minutes from this place can not get any access to these x rays. Because my GP don’t have it and they don’t email X-rays. So now I have to go out of my way again and visit there branch to pick up these xrays!
I attended one of your rooms on Monday 14 September 2020, for CT scans, I have a privacy issue i had and I need to privately take this up with your company. I don't wish to air it here on a forum. I have searched your sites to find an email address to outline my concerns with success, can you therefore contact me please by providing a email address for me to do so. Regards Chrissy
Waited 45 minutes (at the Collins Street clinic) in reception and when I was finally called I was told they don't do the types of xrays my specialist requires.
Waste of my time.
