The MRI department receptionist at John Fawkner, an older lady, is the most unsatisfactory receptionist I have ever encountered. If she has no desire to work, she should consider retirement, as it seems like she believes the patients owe her something. She certainly requires additional training in customer service. During my wait for the scan, I witnessed her treating patients poorly, while there are younger staff members who are incredibly kind and approachable. I sincerely hope that the management addresses this issue.

The front desk person was helpful and friendly, as was the technician. Was in and out in under 30min. Recommend booking an early appointment.

I was there today with my baby and mother. I asked the receptionist if there was a way to get my baby down because I had a pram. She didn’t bother to answer. And when I asked for the mask for my mother she was incredibly rude and threw it on the desk.
Though the radiologist was great.
Never going again.

Rang imed John fawkner and heard the on hold message saying they were busy but if I was calling for an X-ray to just come in with no appointment so I hobbled in only to be told that I needed an appointment and despite the referral saying to bulk bill it was going to cost me $420 for xrays. I left in tears.

I have NEVER ever come across a more unprofessional and rude staff in my life. WHY do you have a male completing the ultrasound on the breasts following the mammogram? What's worse is being asked to walk through the waiting room half naked to get to the ultrasound rooms from the mammogram room. Then stuck with a male for over 30mins performing an ultrasound on your breasts. No explanation why it was taking so long until i starred at the screen & asked! I have never EVER felt so uncomfortable & awkward in my entire life in a medical setting. I left completely ropable and still am. Show some empathy, spare a minute or two thinking about how your patient may or not feel. Take some interest in the care of your patients or just dont bother.

If you need a mammogram & ultrasound do not do it at this clinic. I have been angry at the experience for days. Never felt more violated & traumatised. I will never ever return here. Disgusted.

Went to I -Med at John Fawkner and the staff and service was outstanding.
I can highly recommend them.

It has been more than one year since my visit and I have never received the invoice. They called me a number of times and I have to explain everytime that I didn't receive the invoice. It has been a nightmare

After taking scan still waiting for a CD almost 1 hour and I hope they will manage to make one for me: (. Receptionist (i think her name is Amy) was really helpful and apologetic

Worst receptionist ever. I was with my husband at I-MED for x-ray as he had a sharp pain after his operation, we both were very disappointed with how the receptionist spoke and looked at us, unprofessional, disrespectful.unfortunately we do not know her name, she is blonde and on her 30s perhaps.for this job you must hire someone professional who can deal with patients nicely and respectfully.was first time to go there and will be last time, NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

I was at I-MED today for x-ray, I had the worst experience ever, the receptionist was very rude, unfriendly, stared at my wife while she was sitting, not even smiling. I was there with sharp pain post surgery, her duty as a receptionist is to make patients feel comfortable and treat them nicely. I do not know her name but she has blonde hair and probably on her 30s, I'm really disappointed I wish the owner or her manager take a serious action against her.

Over the years I've had numerous ultra-sounds and x-rays performed here. I've always found the staff to be both highly professional, friendly and willing to answer any questions I've had. It's not my closest radiology centre, but it's the one I always come back to.

MRI: More like a production line rather than a health care facility. Long waiting times and everything is rushed. I was in the cold MRI room without a blanket and they didn’t even offer me a blanket. Unfriendly MRI technicians.

I have referred patients here for 17 years as it is a top practice. I am very grateful for the kindness and expertise we received recently when a family member needed some urgent imaging. Thank you to the friendly and professional receptionists and radiographers and to the multiple expert radiologists who reviewed and advised on the imaging. Wonderful to have the support of such an excellent practice, as both a GP and a patient.

Unfriendly receptionists, Charged for private even though referral had clearly indicated medicare. The actual radiologist was super lovely though.
