I-MED Radiology Network reviews
21Reception was lovely at the doncaster / templestowe branch but whoever did my pelvis ultrasound today was so rude. She is southeast asian. Shoved the towel in my abdomen after the procedure. So rude! I work in healthcare too. That is not how you treat patients!
$170 out of pocket (after the Medicare rebate too!) quoted for an arm x-ray for our 4 year old after a fall and referral from GP (and said with a straight face too - I think they must use gold plated x-ray machines or something). This is why the system is broken and people go to hospital instead of using rip off services like this. Avoid this and go to Lumus Blackburn (quick efficient, onsite opinion whilst waiting for my actual doctor to respond) which bulk bills. Lumus also provide you with a hardcopy of your scan without having to ask! There are also others that bulk bill locally which we found including in Bulleen - do your research before heading here and patients beware!
Just had an X-ray here recently the woman who did mine was so rude. Very robotic too. Surely I will not be coming to this clinic again
Seems to be a very cold place that lacks compassion. Can't expect more i guess from this type of white coat establishment.
Cannot thank I-Med Doncaster more with there service. Attentive staff, experienced nurses, great place! Especially want to thank Berlinda for her specialty and kind words. No doubt the best ultrasound service.
Uber efficient! I was in and out for x-rays in under 10 mins. Front desk staff were very pleasant as was the Radiographer. Thanks and a big like from me.
The staff at I-MED were exceptionally professional, efficient and so friendly to make me comfortable Thankyou
Nice staff except 1 not friendly at all. Also 1 careless staff who I met at the Bone Density Test July 2021. My left leg was hit by the machine & she said Sorry
I just had a bad experience with I-Med radiology Doncaster on George Street. I brought my daughter there to do a x-Ray. After my daughter finished, she came out from the room. No one told her to go or wait. So I asked the receptionist and she helped us to check. Then she said we can go. After a while, I received a call from them asking us to go back to get the film. What's wrong with you, I did ask before I leave. The problem is I don't have a car, I need to walk all the way back to get the film. When I arrived there, the receptionist was talking to other staff there and didn't attend to me immediately even I tried to interrupted their conversation. So I just waited there watching my film sitting on the reception desk. It is really a low level mistake and hard to believe this kind of mistake still happened nowadays. There are many radiology clinics out there and I don't recommend I-Med. Try others.
The staff are friendly and professional, in fact very professional! During a routine scan they recognised I had an anomaly and with a
I came to do a scan for my foot, the Receiption told me it can’t be bulk billed and have to pay in a rude way. When I contacted my doctor and call I-Med call center, I came to know is should be bulk billed. Not sure why the person in the receiption told me so.
Later the staff did the scan for me was not friendly at all.
I had a really bad experience, and had to waste 30min in calls unnecessarily
Im giving IMED a 2 due to the lady that did my OPG, she was polite professional and very fast!
However the reception staff are extremely rude. Today i witnessed a man who's english was very broken and one of your receptionist was very demanding, irritated and her tone was very aggressive. It ultimately seemed like their was no patience. Coming to my experience, the receptionist towards the far right of the radiology section was very rude, and i do not appreciate being spoken to in the way that she spoke to me, Working in a similar industry, this is not a way i would talk to individuals about their health problems, or handle myself at a reception desk. I do understand you guys are busy and sometimes the language barriers may be difficult, however if it was my mother who's english isn't that great was being spoken to the way she spoke to him i would not be happy. IMED at Mont Albert are kind, patient and i defiantly think Doncaster East was completely the opposite, towards me personally as-well.
Do better.
Different versions of information provided over the phone and in person. Front desk staff not ready to listen and looks like reading a given script.
Overall not a great experience. Will prefer to travel a bit further and attend some other center than this one.
In 2018, their charges for ultrasound was $83.55. In 2020, they are asking for $240 for the same service. This is absolutely horrendous. Please try other places as this is an absolute rip off.
Never EVER go to Imed Doncaster East. Staff are rude, miserable & disgusting. That includes those who do the testing. If I could give a negative score I would. I'd rather travel 50kms out of my way than to go back there. Downright revolting & a poor excuse for a medical service.
WHY DOES I-MED EVEN BOTHER WITH A ELECTRONIC BOOKING SYSTEM!
It’s seems as though customer service culture at I-MED Radiology is non-existent.
I was booked for a very simple and quick OPG scan at 2pm for which arrived nearly 10mins prior to the appointment. There 3 administrative staff behind the counter and only a handful of customers.
I was asked to wait until called for the procedure, the staff seemed preoccupied with looking into their computer screens (probably just surfing the internet I assume) rather than monitoring the booking and customers. After about 30 mins I asked why it was taking so long for me to undergo the procedure.
As it turns out the radiologist admitted that they had doubled booked the OPG for the 2pm appointment.
However, it gets worse as they allowed the other 2pm booking (which was for 2 young children) to go ahead of me even though I had arrived well before them and was waiting in the seating area.
In summary, it about 45 minutes for what was literally a 3 minute procedure which was booked in.
Absolutely hopeless and I would not recommend – I will never be going back to any I-MED clinic as I expect that same non-existent customer service culture is widespread throughout the company.
I will also advise the referring dentist of my frustrating experience.
This place is very slow in answering calls takes up to 20 + mins. Not very helpful and unfriendly especially the person who answers the calls, also extremely expensive when comparing it to it's opposition.
Great place, very prompt with appointments and nice staff.except one! I had two ultrasounds done and one younger lady was so lovely and the next time I got an older lady who was so rude and uninviting, she made me feel very unwelcome
An efficient place, gets the job done.
Loses a star as the radiographer didn’t explain what was going to happen, just asked me to lie down and then left the room. Would have nice to be told “this will only take x minutes, this will happen” but no explanation. I didn’t know if I was going to be in the scanner for an hour or one minute.
The lady who did my pelvic ultrasound was great. The one star is for the 2 receptionists particularly the blonde one at the front who isn't warm or friendly. When you get an ultrasound you are worried about the results, it would be nice for the staff at the front desk to show some kindness and empathy.
