After booking and coming to the Werribee Mercy IMed for majority of my pregnancy had the worst experience today while trying to book a 36 week scan in because of a receptionist named Kylie. Inspite of explaining to her multiple times that I have come into the radiology multiple times and gotten the scan done on the 6th day of the previous week she was adamant that she would not book it in on 35 weeks and 6 days and I needed to go follow up with the doctor. The outpatients clinic that I had to go back to was shocked she would make such a request but by that point I was so overwhelmed by the whole process (cue 34 week hormones) that I was in tears at the outpatient clinic. Turns out the radiology did not even have appointments on the Friday I wanted and she didn’t even bother to check. There was no empathy for a pregnant person running around trying to make these appointments and there has never been any coordination between the radiology and outpatients clinic inspite of being in the same hospital. This one experience has tainted my otherwise positive experience of the hospital and I med. I understand protocol and process but she was just simply a rude person.

Wish I could give them 0 stars, absolutely a horror show when trying to get my scans done here last week

Please update your opening hours to avoid confusion. It says open sat and Sunday. When i reach there yesterday then come to know its close. Its misleading information.

I came here today with my sister who came in for her 20 week scan. Straight away the receptionist was not welcoming and absolutely rude to start off with. Surprising for someone who’s the face of the place is so rude. Then we headed to the scan and the ultrasound technicians behaviour and attitude was so disgusting. She’s never heard of family centred care which was very obvious. I’m a nurse by profession and I have never treated or seen anyone being treated so rudely. I really think the manager needs to find the right personalities for these jobs as these people and their behaviours are repulsive. I would never recommend anyone here

Just waited on hold for 40 mins for someone to answer and say nothing but "Please hold" and hung up on me.

I had my 20 weeks ultrasound there today. Good service, and everything was clearly explained to me. I waited roughly 15min for my appointment- which is not bad at all. I was very nervous but my lovely sonographer Jena calmed me down, lots of reassurances. She also worked so hard to get all important things checked for my naughty baby ;) Overall a very good experience. There’s a fee involved but this was told when I made the booking.

I just recently had my 13 week Nuchal Translucency ultrasound scan with a lovely lady named Margaret. She was very thorough and although this is my third baby, she took the time in getting all the correct images and explained all of the organs ect throughout the scan. I felt very comfortable during this scan.

As you may see as of January this year, ultrasounds for the dating scan and 12-14 week scan as well as the 20 week scan will now cost us a minimum of $185 at any clinic. We are charged around $240 on the day and given approximately $60 back by Medicare. I was explained of about the costs but it has not been widely educated throughout the community of these "new costs" which is a great concern.

Overall I am happy with the service.

They charge $200 for an ultrasound. When I booked over the phone, the consultant did not explained the cost involved. When I went for the ultrasound the receptionist advised it will cost $200 as it's a private network. Why can't you let us know at the time of booking?

Can’t believe they charge from 1Jan2022 for a referral if you are giving birth at Werribee mercy public. They say we get a “ Werribee patient discount” what BS still out of pocket for 120$! What’s the point of going public if we are going to be charged for a referred public ultrasound. I just cancelled my appt and went to Wyndham ultrasound with an out of pocket for 100$ for my 36 week scan.

The sonographer was super rude, during our 20 week scan last week. That person should not be there.very rude and nil empathy. Anyone knows where to put a written complaint? Or even with AHPRA? She needs to learn some manners first thing before scanning anyone.

Booked in for a DEXA with a bulk billed referral from my GP and was informed by staff on the day that they would be charging a $120 fee.

Two different staff members were spoken to during the booking process and cited the referral, neither of them mentioned the possibility of a fee for a bulk billed scan - let alone a fee of over $100. What a joke.

Terrible customer service the two times i have been here. I find the receptionists to be rude and arrogant. Lucky the people doing the ultrasounds are friendly otherwise im sure this business would go under. Some people attending Imed werribee would be dealing with some horrible outcomes or problems and a smile or just general politness goes a long way.

Visited Imed mercy Werribee for ultrasound and was pleased to see the well planned and smooth operations. COVID Checkin was simple and done well to operate with max efficiency.
The radiologist Mark was friendly and thorough in his tests. Took time to review and check every detail and confirm everything was ok. He shared details throughout and advised the average and measurements we saw.
Compared to some other local radiology I’ll rate this very good and kudos to Mark and team

Recently I had an appointment at this place. The receptionists are very professional and the service was quick. The sonographer by name Margaret is a very nice lady and she appeared so experienced by the way she explained to me while showing the baby on the screen and also by the way she used the device to see the images:)

Today was my first time there. The green line on the floor is very useful as it made finding the radiology easy. I saw Shane who was on time, was a nice guy, pleasant to talk to. Really good experience.

Team, a request please pass the message to reception (Helen) that she is receptionist, not to make judgements and being rude.

I went with my wife for US scan, 9 weeks pregnant and wife knows little bit about English. She was already under stress due to some spotting that's why we had to go for urgent scan. Helen was not listening to me as an interpreter and she wanted all the answers from my wife. I don't have issues why she asks questions but if I had used the same tone like she did, then I would have been shown the poster of unacceptable behaviour. She compared my situation with her in terms of providing phone number. How can she judge us if she won't know anything about us.

I was not there for fun or having a nice day out, she has to understand that families are already stressed out. If someone is trying to interpret or trying to help, she should listen and be polite. If my wife would be able to communicate or come on her own then why would I take a day off. My wife was so stressed about her behaviour.

My wife kept asking me about her In waiting area as she was so stressed out that how would she answer when she has to communicate on her own when she will be seen for scan.

Having pregnancy issues are so stressful, we need support not attitude towards needful. If she starts listening then things might change.

Shane who has done the test is legend, he had no issues if I was interpreting for her. I rate him more than 5 star but this review is for person at the front desk.

Dear I-Med radiology. Please invest in customer service training for your receptionists at the Werribee Mercy iMed Radiology Centre. Absolutely pathetic CS, rude, arrogant and general bad attitude. And to top it all off there were only a few people sitting and waiting and no one queued at the reception desk. They were happier talking about real estate among themselves and even ignored phone calls. Talking about block sizes in Werribee and Tarneit and how many square meters this block or that block is, or complaining that the other person who alternates with you at reception is so bad and makes so many mistakes is NOT what you’re paid to do. It’s not like being at reception or being nice is a difficult thing to do. Also - playing horror movies at your waiting area might be a bit inappropriate considering some people had children along. The actual service / person doing the work was amazing, pleasant and cannot give enough stars to. Lynette seemed normal but Helen needs a reminder that no one is there on her graces.

Had our 20 week scan for our first baby last week here. Terrible ultrasound experience. The receptionists were great however the lady who conducted the ultrasound was so rude. We received no introduction or even a simple “hi how are you”. I was told straight away “lay down on the bed, shoes on, close to me with your shirt up”. Then she squirted the gel on and got straight into it. We tried easing the tension by making conversation but she was clearly not interested and basically brushed off what we would say. Don’t think she made any eye contact once.
Wasn’t a good experience at all. She also didn’t show/ let us hear our babies heart beat. It is our first baby so it’s exciting times and she didn’t make the experience enjoyable at all.
Will never book our scans here again.
