Not recommended for MRI!

The radiology technician seemed rushed, neglecting to provide a thorough explanation of the MRI process, leaving me feeling uninformed and uneasy about the procedure. Improved communication would enhance the overall patient experience.

Unfortunately I forgot to check the rating before I make an appointment.

I don't know why so many people had bad experiences here, but I'll mention mine. On 15/11/2023, I walked in for my Nuclear MAG3 test I was served by this lady and assisted in using my private health insurance (thank you) I was then asked to take a seat, and in 10min I was called in by the nuclear test staff member, from the time I walked into the room till the end of the test she made me comfortable, explained about the procedure which took almost 50min to complete. Thanks to both ladies who helped me on the day of my test.

One of the receptionists knew nothing about private health insurance, should be trained properly otherwise would cause financial loss to the patients.

I went there (26-08-22) to get ultrasound done on my bladder. They were so efficient. I was called at 12.30 on the dot. The person who did the procedure was very friendly and professional. I was booked for 30 minutes but out in 20. Well Done!

Booked an appointment for Dental X-ray. Appointment was at 10.15am. We arrived at 10.07am. We were the first one here. Went up to the receptionist, as expected, she said she didn’t receive my email (referral). I sent on Wednesday, three days before my appointment. She doubted that I sent to the wrong email, fine! I proved to her and resend the email. Still telling me she didn’t get it. After a while, she said oh yes it’s here but there is no referral. I told her it’s an attachment. She insisted that there is no attachment. I just kept quiet and wait as she is very busy clicking on her computer. After few minutes, she said she got it. Obviously she doesn’t know what she is doing. Many people are coming after us and they were all called for their turn. We are still waiting at 10.45am!

I went for an OPG referred by my dentist. Instead I found out later that I was given a Lateral Cephalogram instead. How could the technician/ radiographer make such a mistake. Is she appropriately trained to know the difference between the two? The dentist had circled OPG on the form.
It's distressing that such a mistake could occur and reflects very poorly on their professionalism and training!

My local radiology. I scrached my ankle and asked for band aid and was handed one. They fulfilled my request without hesitation. I am very satisfied about the experience although cant compared to customer service from luxury shop or retailers but no drama!

TL;DR version: it is a No go place, wasting my time, unorganized even receptionist tried to help, won't go to this place at all.

Details:
I booked online to do the scanning, and it went well. The system works great; however, when I was on the road to attend my appointment, I received an SMS that we could not have aspirate as part of the request. (20 Min before the actual work) call us to reschedule or come and do an ultrasound without injection
. Call them; good luck! (All lines are busy, we will answer your call in the next 35 minutes).

No drama, arrived there and Drama started:

No carpark! Little possible spot all full, Ok next go out of the building and find a place 10 minutes walk to the building. Ok, good for now.

The very helpful receptionist that had hoped to help, after 8 minutes conversation as (this, that, let me check, email your referral, don’t send, we already have, have you check-in for COVID, n times.)
Panic started:
- The bad news for you is that we can’t do the scan even though you booked. You need to come another time; we can’t do the aspirate injection. We explained why I needed to have it even without injection, not a problem.
- Next, you need to pay. My answer was, It’s a bulked bill……, TLDR, anyway: I’ve agreed to pay as I knew, I can claim from Medibank 100%.
- Next, you are late now. (ok, you are right, we are talking 13 minutes for an unnecessary topic that can be covered in 2 min …), ok, you tell me what should I do. We gave your turn to another patient, and you will be next—Approx 20 min. No problem, I will wait.

After 1 hour I was still there! Asked, and have been told, in approximately 20 min, we are busy, …. (hope not with lunch, of course not).

I’ve taken 2 hours leave from my work and after 1 hour and 30 min, still nothing? Answer no wait for min 20 min, and it is your turn. No way …

Cancelled and back to work.

Is this how your business works? Sorry, you are doing something wrong in 2021…

Summary,
It was a very unprofessional and unorganised health provider that I won’t go there again and share with our friends and family to help them save their time.

We as a society need to help professional services grow by giving feedback trying to help them find the gaps and issues, hoping they learn.

I have called another Scanning brand to book an appointment and asked all doubts during this terrible experience, they told me no payment, we will do injection as per specialist request, Booked appointment with reasonable delay in reality, and all my job has finished in just 25 minutes including paperwork and administration!

Scan & bakers cyst extraction and cortisone procedure done 13/12/2021.
Knee very sore 21/12/2021. Saw GP referred back to i-med. I asked for copy of scan. She told me to see my GP. BRUSHOFF

Hi Owner and Users of I-Med radiology, PLEASE READ AND ANSWER,

Excellent Services, I have been there for multiple times. Friendly and Cooperative staff. I am giving 3 stars because of their online system. I am unable to get my images online. I have mailed support team in regards for the access of my images and they are saying we are upgrading system, but they are not giving answers for the time period how long will it be. I am after this problem since May 2021. The call centre support team asked me to get physical copies from the radiology centre but I am miles away from Melbourne and there is only way to access my scan images online or via email.
Please, try to solve this for me and many of the other patients who are facing this problem.

Very friendly staff and radiologist, barely any wait for a walk in X-ray. Only issue is the limited onsite/street parking.

The whole experience was excellent ranging from friendly staff thru to good radiologists.

Only down fold i can say is, I'm really disappointed in the findings I paid $320 and the findings were no better then what I received from the bulk billed x-ray.

For this sort of money considering the scan took 20 mins you would expect a througher report.

I was hoping for atleast a little bit of closure but it is what it is.

I specifically told them I just need to do Coccyx X-ray. However they still shot 5-6 times, and gave me 4 pictures. Three of them are for the almost same position. The coccyx position in the picture for my coccyx is at the edge of the picture means it is very hard to read. Very disappointed experience and caused me to take so much unnecessary radiation.

The receptionists are not professional. I took a photo of referral, and sent it through email. Then I have been contacted by a receptionist telling me the date booked, the test, cost of $300, and medicare rebate of $140. But when I checked in on the date, the receptionist didn't say anything about it. Until all the tests finished, I have been asked to pay $556. When I questioned this, the receptionist said I was booked wrong test. How? At least I need to be told about the mistake they have made when I checked in.

Went for scanning here.
# very minimum parking on the site so I have to park 10 min away on the steet parking. 0 star
# waited for 34 minutes. 0 star
# we went for 20th week scan and was excited to see our baby but the screen was not working. 0 star
# on requesting for a scan video, staff said they dont have that facility. Seriously! 0 star
# on requesting for photo. Staff said their printer is broke and she said come and take photo in ur phone, i said send me a hard copy in the mail, she refused to do so, late when i said you have to, she went inside and said ok we will send but it will take time. I said how and why? She said i dont know how much time. I was pissed off! 0 star
# later after 25min she rang and said if you can come we will give you pictures, we said ok we will turn and come. We walk for 10 min and drove for 15 minutes. 0 star
# on arrival when my wife went to the reception to get pictures, they gave only three tiny pictures and no envelope, no cover, no folder nothing. 0 star

The staff who was looking after us was Aamy

Over all experience worst and never going back their, and everyone please avoid this place

The service here was great. Front counter was polite, and the waiting area comfortable.
The nurse was kind and proficient. The doctor had a good sense of humor, and we were finished before we knew it.
Although there is no vending machine for a cold drink, or anywhere close to get a coffee. So if you will be there for a long wait, you will have to bring your own, or drink the water provided at the front service desk.

Great service, Only had to wait 5 minutes. Went straight in, had scan done in 20 minutes, and as i was walking out I was given the films to take to the doctor. The Staff there are fantastic. Highly Recommend, Thanks.

Called for getting a receipt of payment of CT scan done via medicare for giving to Tac claim, they explained you will have to pay then we can provide a receipt.
I acctually found the way out and got from my Medicare online system.
Please next time if any customer calls advise them to explore that option instead of asking to pay out of pocket.

I booked an opg dental x ray, left work specially for that and when i came there the receptionist told me its impossible to do it without a referral, needless to say i didnt had one since they didnt mentioned it when.i spoke with them twice on the phone about the appointment, the receptionist wasnt even trying to help.abd she didnt care at all
