What a Sham, My Dr gave me two referrals, one for here one for Capital. Within 10 minutes I got a call from I-Med telling me they had an available Appt. So I booked, The Lady was Quite abrupt, I asked if she could text me appt details she replied we will txt you the day before. 2 weeks later I rang to confirm appt, after being on hold for 15 Minutes i was told no appt could be found! Then 2 weeks later I get a Txt asking me to confirm appt. Rang again & after 10 mins on hold cancelled the Appt. Booked with Capital with ease & clear communication & understanding.

Annual mammogram today. Glenda, the lady who did my mammogram, was pleasant, interested and interesting to talk to. She made me feel very comfortable. The lady who did my ultrasound was also caring and pleasant. Thankyou.
Update: another year gone by and another mammogram and ultrasound. Different staff this year but equally as delightful, caring and kind.receptionists, through to staff operating the mammograms and ultrasound.you choose your staff very well indeed. Thankyou.

Tess on reception went above and beyond to try and sort my appointment out. I haven’t had my scan yet but Tess deserves 5* and full credit for all her help

Charging nearly double the Medicare rebate, out of pocket cost $210 so I could not have the CT scan. Disgraceful!

Prior to the appt the receptionist had helpful suggestions to make the procedure easier for my disabled brother. The two procedural technicians were very understanding & if not for their help & encouragement he may not have completed the procedure. Well done!

Based off my personal experience, definitely highly recommend going to the hospital services instead. Was a really unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. Quite upsetting. Going forward, I will be quite hesitant to use private providers for medical diagnostics.

Lovely staff at 19 Hastings Rd, especially helpful during a worrying time. Receptionist even made me a cup of tea while I waited for my wife to have her procedure!

I went to Frankston I-MED today and have done so for my yearly expensive cancer mammogram and ultrasound for years.

I got there 5 minutes before they asked me and was told to go straight into the small room they use for mammograms.no time to finish my paper work they asked me to fill in.
The nurse ushered me in quick and did my mammogram. She told me machine was playing up and a tech coming to look. I FOUND THAT OUR WHEN SHE TOLD ME TO REMOVE MY BREAST AND iT WAS STUCK.

I was sent back to lounge and I waited and waited and waited. The room freezing, no heater, no TV to watch, no magazines to read for 30 plus min. Past years they had it cosy and warm for those that need extra care?
The tech came in and talked about the broken machine to staff standing next to me. Nice to hear that.yep I'm paying lots for broken equipment. He left and forgot to close door to the other area. Making me feel more vulnerable sitting there with a open back gown on for all to see.

After 30 min I went to main area stood in line with gown on and told lady when was it was my turn? I'd been forgotten and I'm freezing. I might just go home or can I sit in main area and watch the TV.

Staff said my appointment for ultrasound was at 11am. No one told me I'd have to sit in the cold with thin gown for so long. Not a word was spoke. I felt in the way.

Please I have been many, many times with my breast cancer. A freezing cold day, patients immune down because of cancer etc.
Make it comfortable. Put the TV on and make room warm.a heater you used in the past.magazines on the table. Chat to patients how long it will be for them approximately.

After I said something they took me to next area straight away.
He was nice and apologised saying they short staffed and take in walk ins.
Also so very expensive.it said private on my docket to hand staff but I don't have private insurance any longer. Never going back and will let my cancer doctor know about my experience.

I left shaking, freezing and felt sick all afternoon. I spent the afternoon in bed and was fine before my appointment.
Please make your room warm and inviting. You charge enough.
The one star is for the 2 staff that assisted me with my treatments they were nice.
Ps you have a duty of care to your patients. Hopefully my breast doctor can tell me i can go elsewhere from now on.

I had a horrible experience and I won't go back again. I was ushered from the waiting room to another room, where a lady was sitting on the bed. She was told she shouldn't still be there and that she needed to go. I was a bit concerned for her well being, but no time for that. She was out, I was in. "Now you're Shirley" I was told. Lucky this was mentioned because I wasn't Shirley. "Quickly, stand on the scales" I was told. I went to take my shoes off. "No, don't take your shoes off! There's not time! Only 10 mins per person! Just get on and I'll take off a bit to account for the shoes" Then height. "Stand here - do you know your height? " I did, but before I had time to answer, I was told "160. Does that sound about right? " It didn't, but no time to question- only 10 minutes per person!
Then I was told to get on to the X-Ray table. More disaster! "Weren't you told not to wear anything with zips"? I hadn't been told this, and said I would just take my jeans off. "No! No time! Just pull them down a bit. Oh! And you're wearing a bra. Weren't you told not to wear a bra"? No, I hadn't been told this either. "No time to take it off - pull it right up".
But I had done something right! I was told that I got up on to the bed quickly, and that some patients were really slow and took forever. (I would have thought that this would have been expected where people are coming for X-Rays) The scan completed, I was quickly up and off that bed, given a form to take to reception and bundled out.
As I walked up to reception, I felt quite sick and dizzy, no doubt as a result of the stress I had suffered. I thought of the lady who had still been in the room when I entered, and wondered if perhaps she had stayed on because she was feeling the same way.
This was an expensive scan. Surely I was entitled to have it done in a more professional manner. If height and weight are so unimportant that a fair guess is good enough, why bother to record it at all? If it is important, well mine is possibly not terribly accurate.
I have little confidence in the reliability of this scan and believe I have wasted my money.

Terrible experience. The nurse had to tell the doctor to tidy himself up before doing the procedure. Plus the procedure did not work. And the nurses were more interested in watching funny elf videos. Waste of money.

Unless you have money to burn, I suggest going elsewhere. Plenty of other Radiology Clinics that offer a better service and Bulk Bill.

Don't let them bully you. They told me that due to Covid restrictions my husband couldn't get in the room with me and see our baby for the first time! Also they said "it's like this everywhere", "those are the rules". We cancel the test and walked out. I literally called Capital Radiology 10min later and they said that there is no problem that my husband and I were together during the ultrasound if we live together, of course I booked with them immediately.

I WILL NEVER EVER USE I-MED "SERVICE".

Absolutely terrible experience. Will never be going back again if I can avoid it. Wish I could give 0 stars

Sue from reception was very kind, caring and compassionate. She went out of her way to be very helpful in dealing with us. Wish the same could be said for Dr Jo Richter, who showed no compassion or empathy in dealing with my frail, elderly mum who was and still is enduring a great amount of pain. Whatever happened to putting patient centred care at the forefront of his professional role?

Addition- One week after Mum’s original visit, I have to say that the Practice Manager, Sandy & Sue from reception both went above and beyond to ensure that Mum’s next appointment went very smoothly. Thank you both for your kindness and compassion. Thank you also to Dr John Pointer for professionalism and caring.

The staff at this facility are rude, arrogant and won’t take responsibility for their own miscommunication and mistakes. We specifically called ahead to confirm if I could attend an obstetrics scan with my partner as we’ve had a rough ride thus far. We were told yes. We arrive to find that there was no staff trained to perform the scan even though we booked 11 weeks ahead, I wouldn’t be allowed in anyway, and then while trying to come to some arrangement the clinic accepted a walk-in patient for a scan and bumped us off our appointment! We booked 11 weeks ago! We get that covid has changed everything but some basic communication would have alleviated A LOT of anguish here! As long as people keep paying for radiology huh I-MED! Don’t worry about compassion or care!

I had CT guided facet joint injection today and can't thank the team enough. Nurse Andy is an angel. I was very anxious prior to the procedure but the team including Luke and Dr John Poynter were all amazing. They explained and kept me comfortable throughout the
procedure. I highly recommend them.
