I-MED Radiology Cabrini Malvern

The receptionist clearly hates her job and it shows. Couldn’t not be more disinterested, unhelpful and makes patients feel like they are asking to move mountains just to try and book an appointment. I hope this ladies life gets better.

I am totally cluster phobic and did not want to do my MRI. Went to Cabrini, the staff was outstanding, took note of my problem, they sedated me enough that I was able to dose off a bit and still be aware of the surrounding. The whole staff was extremely professional and they just made me feel at ease. I cannot believe it I got my MRI done with no issue. The doctor performing the MRI was very professional and the whole tone and body language of the staff made me realise these people are here to help me get my MRI done. I cannot thank my lucky stars enough that I went to Cabrini Malvern where the staff was ready to do anything to make me comfortable. 7stars, Excellent, SUPER.

Everything went smoothly. There was a short wait at my appointment time, nothing significant. The staff were friendly and explained the scan properly.

Getting an appointment can take time. I had to book 5 weeks out.

If you value your time and money do NOT come here. Receptionist made me wait 20 minutes just for me to tell her I was here for my appointment and then said I missed my appointment and if they squeezed me in I would be waiting a couple of hours. Ridiculous! Completely disjointed processes and rude staff. Absolutely do not recommend.

I booked an appointment for a bone density scan. I called prior to attending and was informed by staff to ignore the cost information I received via text message. I was also told that if I am eligible for a Medicare rebate, then I will not be out-of-pocket.

When I arrived I was informed by reception staff that:
1. Those who are ineligible for Medicare rebate will be charged $120.2. Those who are eligible will be charged $212 and will receive Medicare rebate of $92 and will still be $120 out-of-pocket.

In other words, they get paid more if you get a Medicare rebate and you don’t get the benefit of the rebate.

I asked several times why i-Med is paid different rates by customers for providing the same service and staff could not give a straight answer.

Eventually, the manager came out and admitted that i-Med charges patients who are covered by Medicare MORE for providing the same scan and that it can do so “because it’s a private business”.

Capital Radiology in Malvern bulk bills for this scan if you’re eligible for Medicare rebate. Go there.

I had my Ultrasound scan today for pregnancy. Receptionist was a nice lady and my sonographor did fabulous job. He made me feel very comfortable and was very friendly.

I had a MRI scan at Cabrini. Was told that the report would be sent to my surgeon on line. I consulted my surgeon for 10 minutes and was not given a copy of my MRI report. I rang Cabrini and asked to send a copy to me. That was over a week ago and I still have not received it.
