I Love Dumplings

Made me wait over 35 minutes for a takeaway order they said will take 10-15 minutes. It wasn’t even a big order, just two servings of dumplings.

The dumplings were great and even affordable! The service was nice: couldn’t ask for more! 100% would recommend.

Used to really love this restaurant. Cheap, cheerful and tasty. Recently however the place seems to be going down hill.
I always order the sichuan pork dumplings which is the right level of chilli for me. However Our last visit the spice/heat was simply over whelming, I was sneezing and coughing. It was simply inedible. When brought to the attention of staff they just told me to put some vinegar on the dish or take it home to my family…
When I explained I order this dish all the time and that it was different they said “well it’s human made, it’s going to be different”. After some back and forth they eventually took the dish back to the kitchen, obviously rinsed the dumplings and brought them back to me.

This place was a nice surprise on a scorching hot day. After a long and exhausted walk, we wandered into this restaurant and were treated with yummy food, from dumplings to buns and fried rice. Service was great, and staff was very quick and responsive.

I live in St Kilda and have walked passed many times and was expecting cheap and cheerful dining. However the food and dining experience was actually pretty good.

Planned on going elsewhere but the scent of deliciousness drew us in. We were all so impressed with the service, the speed and the food. We would go back just for the chicken ribs. The first time in ages I've given a tip when paying because the staff were so good at what they do.

Just off the plane from California and we needed some food stat - this place hit the spot! Some fantastic Sichuan food. Delicious dumplings and mapo tofu. I think they even served us when they typically would have closed for lunch (?). We were so happy after this meal.

Great service and food. The pork dumplings were delicious and would recommend the Mongolian beef which came out on a hot stone on top of burning charcoal. However, the xiao long bao was a small and inauthentic. Overall, great value for money.

I order I love dumplings regularly and it never disappoints. We have a guest visiting who happens to be in a dumplings club that tries different different dumplings once a month and among all the places he has been he rats these dumplings the best he has tried in Australia. We love, I love dumplings!:)

What a great unexpected experience, its been a long time since I've been to stkilda with fond memories of the last time I was here. The food is reasonably priced, the service from staff was a pleasure and the food was tasty, fresh, and exotic, I love the pineapple pieces added to my fried rice with prawns, Will definitely be back.

I will never eat here again. Dumplings were only just warm and the spicy prawns were not as described or how they visually appeared on the menu. They came out deep fried and were shown as not fried. When asked for them to be returned we were told it was not possible.

The dumplings are excellent. That's not why I'm leaving this review though. I think these guys may hold the key to the energy crisis threatening our world as we know it. The amount of prawn crackers per serve, and the low cost, could potentially serve as a replacement to our standard insulation techniques. There are so many. SO MANY. They are delicious but I'd willingly forfeit them if it meant an end to the threat of global warming.

The salted egg custard buns were really nice. Honey chicken, fried rice and veg were nice but just a but too salty for my liking. Great!

Best dumplings i have ever had around Melbourne and geelong. Good portions. Great presentation and lighting. Table positioning very apt. Chairs are very comfortable. Very calm and zen vibe. Great location as it is very close to st kilda beach. I highly recommend it.

Sensational. We went on Tuesday night and it was busy! Plenty of walk-ins, plenty of people who seemed like the might be regulars and plenty of takeaway orders flying out the door. What does that tell you?

Dumplings are great but the squid and fried rice were super excellent. I could be wrong, but I got an impression from the food that it might be somewhat Taiwanese.

Service fast, drinks great. Really good night out and I've really been hoping Fitzroy street would spring to life. Perhaps places like this will help draw or at least sustain crowds long term. Worth eating out at. Well done

Exceeded our expectations in quality of food and affordability. Great custard buns, good dumplings, ok drinks. Service was lovely, nice ambiance. We don't understand why this place doesn't get more attention! We will be back with friends:)
