Hydra Rehearsal Studios

Been rehearsing at Hydra for years now and despite some changes due to covid restrictions etc, the place is still one of the highest quality rehearsal studios in the Melbourne area.

Decent rehearsal studio with decent PAs, reasonably affordable, and coffee is made at reception!

Helpful staff here will help with plugging in your DI great into their desk and even gave us a hand in getting the levels right. Hydra has toilets, a kitchen sink and some vending machines. They also have trolleys you can to unload and later load your gear back into the car. Competitive rates and a decently central location, have been back a few times now and is always consistent and hassle free.

If I could give 10 stars I would, Peter's a legend and the facilities are fantastic, all round great atmosphere. Will be jamming here from here on out.

Went for the first time on Monday. The rooms are decked out with sound treatment, A great pa system, chairs, boxes. The management is friendly and proffesional. Reasonable prices.

First time to Hydra recently and it was great! The guy on duty (Nick) was super helpful with the PA and getting us setup and the rooms were large and well sound proofed. Great selection of trolleys for loading in/out. Discounted duo rate is a bonus. We will be back for sure.

Great rooms! The staff member on duty gave us the run down with the PA system and was happy to come back when we had an issue (our own faults for not seeing the switches on the microphones ‍️)

Great place for rehearsing. All cables, PA's, stands and enough isolated rooms. The man (don't remember his name) is a great guy and always ready to help if needed in relation to equipment and microphones. That's why it's always busy.

I come from waaaay over the other side of town to be here. It's clean, the staff and owner are awesome and the sound is always schmick. Any issues and the staff are right onto it with a smile. Highly, highly recommend this place.

Best and Most Cleanest Rehearsal Rooms in Melbourne. Book well in advance, tho. Parking is a struggle, but you'll find somewhere. Worth it.

Absolutely amazing rehearsal space with everything you need for a productive rehearsal. Area also instills a feeling of inspiration musical vibe.

Great rehearsal space, with cheap prices for long hours. A mixer, microphones and speakers are provided, with other equipment available for hire for a low fee. Peter, the owner, is very friendly and helps to setup if needed, and also offered us some equipment (which is normally hired) free of charge. The rooms are very well sound proofed, allowing us and others to play loudly without disrupting others or being disrupted by other.
