Huon Hill Hotel

Booked a table 28 th Dec for 5 two people couldn’t make it so was told due to the place being booked out we would be charged $20 each for the no shows. The place was not booked out not even half full. Still charged absolutely won’t be back and won’t recommend to anyone to go there. No one smiled it was a dreadful atmosphere.

Regrettably, the overall experience was unsatisfactory. Despite attending for my birthday dinner with the primary expectation of enjoying exquisite cuisine, the staff's demeanor was notably discourteous. This departure from our envisioned celebratory dinner was disheartening. We will not be attending again as a result.

This is the last lace that I would recommend for any one to visit it is overpriced and the stage as rude will not ever be back experience has been ruined

My partner and I got the Angus scotch fillet and it was one of the best steaks we have ever had along with the coleslaw and roast potatoes. The staff were excellent and I'm sure they were smiling behind their masks. We will definitely return.

No where near what is used to be food wise. I've been back multiple times since our first experience hoping to be top notch but unfortunately it's not. Steaks are not worth the price. We were all very disappointed with our meals at lunch yesterday. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be back.

Dined at the restaurant, 9/10.had not even sat down and we were asked what we would like to drink? Meals were very nice.and that is where the pleasure of dining out ended. Waitress totally ignored us from there on. We had to go to counter to get a menu so we could order sweets and coffee. Coffee cups 200mm, ridiculously small. Waitress was totally ignorant of what her job was. To dine out should be an enjoyable experience 'This could / should have been, but not at all. We read the reviews this evening, how right they are. How the owners of Huon Hill Restaurant allow this to continue I have no understanding. NO WAY will I return,

The service was amazing however the meals were hit-and-miss. My husband got the steak that was really ordinary and tiny for the $50 price tag however the side of chips we had to order on top of the steak was amazing. The chicken dish I had was also amazing. I would recommend reading the menu before you book here as it's not your regular pub grub-style food and don't bother with the steak.

Such lovely staff who were very accommodating with a gluten allergy, plus the food was interesting and tasted amazing! The pork trotter special was great value!

We called 45 mins after they opened (6: 45pm) and they refused a booking for our table of 7 who was ready to come straight away. Not because they were too busy, because they weren’t busy enough….

We had to take our money elsewhere. Such a shame as we liked the look of the menu and are staying at the quest hotel it’s adjoined to.

Amazing food! You hosted us 5 girls for our lady tradie group and we were amazed at the food selection and quality. Highly recommend.

Food was pretty good but the cocktail we had was devoid of any flavour. The service was meh. I felt like everything asked of the staff was an effort.

This is an awsome venue always a pleasure well done and 3 years on its still the best Venu in Wodonga great staff awesome food and a great place for a beer and a punt.

Food was good with a reasonable range, service was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. Steaks were cooked as requested and overall very happy.

Lovely meal, excellent service, great atmosphere. Great bar to have drinks prior to the meal. Thoroughly recommend Huon Hill.

Food was super average! So disappointing! We got the linguine and it just tasted like plane spaghetti from the store, couldn't taste any sauce on it what so ever. It got passed around the table and we all through it was terrible. Was rather expensive for an average pub/hotel too. Only two out of 4 of us at the table actually ate their meals, and the others left hungry. The bar closed at 8.45 on the Friday night (?). The staff however we're super nice and friendly and the waiter we had was so lovely. However, we definitely won't be returning, was a very pricey disappointment.

Had dinner here with our friend’s from Melbourne, latest menu is amazing, food was great, steaks cooked to perfection, dessert to die for, service great, ambience lovely, think a few glitches with staff have been ironed out, definitely a must at the moment.

We love this place. The food is always amazing. However tonight was very disappointing when we made a booking for 7.30pm and told at 8.30pm that was it as the kitchen closes at 9pm. We were then told we could order but if wanted a drink we would have to knock it back in 15mins. The venue also states it is open until10pm. Please advise patrons on booking if they only have an hr to dine.

The only reason for 3 stars was the service was sadly lacking, everyone at our table noted all staff to be unsmiling and not friendly
