Hunter Gatherer reviews
8Probably the best vintage second hand store in Melbourne. Went there today and loved the vibe, prices are a fair bit cheaper than similar stores, plus the guy working there had THE coolest style - like a blue and red sweater with jeans. But anyway. Really friendly cool place.
Nice little selection of 2nd hand clothing. Got a lovely bohemian style sweater that I've been wearing so often nowadays. 14 aud from topshop! Total bargain. That district sure has a lot of 2nd hand vintage shops so totally worth hanging around if you're looking for vintage.
I hate to say it, but this store is getting a little greedy with it's pricing these days. I realise it is good for the Brotherhood of St Laurence's coffers but I have noticed that the stock is not moving as fast as it used to. I guess they know what they are doing but feel they have forgotten that it is a charity shop and the goods were donated in good faith. Maybe people should redirect their donations to other charity shops instead?
There's always a surprise waiting in Hunter Gatherer. It's one of 'the' destination Op Shops in Melbourne, on Brunswick St. The window dressing is standout on the street. Staff are friendly, & handle the many shoppers with humour & grace. Prices are above the suburban average, so too are the 'on trend' funky vintage outfits. Ever changing- a must see!
When I walked in, this place looked like a circus. However, I was able to find the outfit I was looking for. Don't judge a book by its cover.
I went here yesterday and was treated well by a young man and another young girl. Today I came back to purchase an item and was served by an old lady whom I haven't seen there before. She was so passive aggressive.
I did not buy the item because she made me feel so uncomfortable. Why would I want to purchase from a store that has a rude person who works there. And not to mention, the music played was absolutely horrible. Like drowned out, depressing music that made me want to leave. You guys should seriously consider either helping her get therapy or fire her.
A charity op shop that offers a range of vintage and contemporary styles as well as kooky decor. Donated clothes are all in reasonable condition (no nasty worn out stuff) and theres even a lot of unused dead-stock donated from quality brands of the 2000s and beyond. Ideal for fashion enthusiasts across the spectrum.
