Hunter Gatherer (Brotherhood of St Laurence) reviews
16Regular long term customer/op shop advocate/environmentalist. Find customer service declining. Have been repeatedly overcharged in last few years. Often treated with a suspicious contempt. Female manager unapproachable & unpleasant. Upstairs more expensive. Some good service from older men who work between the stores.
Op shop in the heart of the city, has some premier wares.
The downstairs area has the bargains.
Lovely staff, some really good stuff.got a vintage lassie book, which I collect, for $5.sweet place
Neat little op shop tucked away in the middle of the city. Not as huge of a range as some other op shops, but very convenient!
A hidden gem with great items at great prices, but it is quite a crowded area as the store is a small space.
I love this space. I found a few of my favourite pieces here. The space might be a bit cramped on Saturday but nothing you can't handle. The people volunteering there are just so lovely!
Great prices on there clothes and the staff are so nice
If u want good 2nd clothes and at a great price need to calling to there many shop's
Plus the sell great books and furniture and lots more
The shop was too small for me to even walk in. The price was also pretty steep for second hand items. A baking dish for $20 is quite unreasonable when a new one could be easily 1/4 of that. I like that the location is right in the centre of the CBD but they need to do something about the layout and the price.
The good stuff from Brotherhood of St Laurence downstairs comes up here. I know they get first hand goods from retailers to sell here that actually make a good profit for this charity. I've seen brand new RM Williams boys (RRP $500) seeking for $200, and branded jeans from DrDenim and Cheap Monday for $5/$10
Great walk through mall with many unique stores. I love to look for unique finds and good deals. The op shop here has a great selection of clothes and old items, even some good boardgames. The dungeon and dragons store downstairs also has a great selection of games and Legos.
However, The Games Shop has a huge collection of boardgames, card games, puzzles and gaming items. They also have a clearance store running now (as of 14/8), with many great deals! I recommend to check them out!
Tiny pop up shop style extension to the larger shop downstairs. Too small to be able to look properly as you have to manoeuvre around people, the "fancier" things end up here so can be overpriced.
Convient city-based location. Sometimes you can find decent things but not always. I usually pop in to have a look when I'm in the city and I've scored some great stuff. Staff are lovely too.
Getting a load of quality here friends.
Mean to the eye with real beauty.
Wanna do it again.for how it's worth.
Decent stores some things there are a bargain for their price but some cn be bad as they don't check their stock so be wise what you buy
Very poor layout, could be so so much better. Prices are also very high for what some stuff is I mean $4 for a vest top with a stain on it.
Very hard to find and when located the staff members rude and told me the store was closing, even though I arrived 16: 30. I wanted to volunteer and donate but never got chance to see what the charity was about. Probably won't go back: (
