Hunky Dory Fish & Chips Burwood / Beluga Bay

I've been here a few times.
Every time the food has been fresh, quick and very tasty.
It's also very fairly priced and the staff are friendly and professional and the restaurant is clean.
I hope this restaurant succeeds, the only reason why it wouldn't is the location

I actually hadn’t been to this restaurant for quite a while but I was actually over that way around dinner time so I thought that I would order the Beluga Bay dish for dinner well when it finally came I cut into the fried fish & it was actually hard & a bit pink in colour & a bit raw & some of the chips were green in colour so I actually only ended up eating half of my meal ok. So I was disappointed with the meal ok. So I would definitely recommend not to go there because I think that it has gone down hill a bit because last time I ate there my meal was really nice ok. And when I told the waitress she just said that she would ask the chef & when she returned she told me that the fish was cooked properly & that the chips are out of a packet so you don’t always know how they are going to be ok. Anyway I am not a very happy customer.

Had a lunch today at Beluga Bay. I had a grilled seafood deluxe and It was perfect. The fish was fresh and delicious. I will definetly recommend other to visit this restaurant. The staffs were friendly and the service was fast as well.

Good fish and chips, wife loved the fish burger which was very soft and tasty with sweet potato chips as an add on. Pleasantly surprised.

Lovely food however I was absolutely shocked at how the two women there spoke about the young man who was serving me, in front of him. He was doing a great job. It shouldn’t be allowed, they were awful.

Felt like some fish and chips, only I didn't want that greasy food regret afterwards. Decided to stop in and ordered the Moroccan fish with rice and lentil salad. I did get a couple of sneaky dimmies on the side. Best fish dish I've had in a long time. Will be back.

My favourite cuisine. Great price quality quantity and extremely healthy.
Owner and staff are extremely flexible in catering for those on strict diets.

Love a good small business out perform a large franchise and in this case they did it and did it very well!

My wife loves Hunky Dory but from on this is our place to go to.

Flake is thicker and juicier then HD
Grilled barramundi spices are on point
Salads and chips are top notch

This portion for $15 was great!
Could feed us both and didn't need another single fillet.

The best fish tacos EVER! I come here at least 2-3 times a month. Perfect balance of spice ️ and zest.

I come here every month, I love the grilled calamari and fish. It's the best Fish & Chips restaurant in Melbourne.

Couldn’t hear me over their phones, staff couldn’t print me a receipt when I asked for one and food was very poor, chips weren’t cooked and had not enough salt, fish was bland. Burger was poor as well.

They have very nice chips and fish. Their sweet potato chips are crispy, chunky and served with a sweet chili dipping sauce. They have yummy grilled and battered fish and their portions are large.

Updated for Beluga Bay: As mentioned by other reviewers, food is still great - light and crunchy batter, delicious food overall. Staff is really pleasant and friendly. Awesome!

Good luck trying to getting served here! Waited 20 mins at the counter to just be ignored. Went to Schmitz. Tables were dirty. Hunky dory was so much better. Won’t even bother going back!

By far the best fish Taco’s I have eaten so far! All 3 varieties we tried were on point. Looking forward to eating them again. Grilled fish, battered fish & Panko prawn!

People complain about the customer service but fornusbit was actually great. Food was good and portion size was really good as well. No complaints at all.
