Hume Islamic Youth Centre reviews
13 The masjid is located behind Islamic Store.
Plenty of space to pray on soft clean carpet. However the wash rooms could be more clean and maintained.
The imam should be retire he has poor knowledge, poor voice, he never prepare for his Khutba? He should give space to another educated person to be the imam, and stop billing people, when they are not listening to your poor boring khutba.
Nice space, environment and amenities for Islamic center, friendly atmosphere,
Nice islamic shops and Cafe, But finding direction to the masjid is bit confusing if u r going for the first time
The Ramadan night markets were a great family event. With the addition of a new pizza shop this place has risen up again from a long sleep. Once the coffee shop is opened it will be a great place to catch up with friends as well as get the spiritual uplifting!
Staff are lovely and friendly and have great customer service. I loved the selection and the quality of the books and gifts. Will be coming back!
This Islamic Centre is doing great work
مَا شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُ
I highly recommend people to bring their families and kids to such places in order to motivate them towards Islam
There’s a Islamic shop in front and masjid at the back. Convenient for everyone. Even good for wheelchairs. Big parking outside.
Juma prayer now days 1: 20pm
EDIT: The owner has messaged me to discuss this and I am very happy with their fast and acceptable approach on a public holiday.
Very disappointed with today's visit to the shop.
I got there at 11.50am on Monday and noticed the sign stating opening time to be 12pm.
I waited outside and the doors opened at 12pm, when I entered, I noticed that the lights were still off, so I picked up what I wanted and waited in front to the counter.
A young sister came up behind me muttering something I thought was Arabic, so I said, "sorry? ", she said without greeting or islamic greeting, "you shouldn't be here, when no one is here! " in a not loud but rude tone. I said, "Sorry, I didn't know no one was here, the door was open so I walked in", She said, "so you just walked in without anyone being here? The door opens at 12pm automatically, we don't have control over it" again in a rude tone. I said, "it was 12pm, the sign says you open at 12pm", She snapped back with, "doesn't mean you have to enter at 12pm".
I'm not a magician but I thought at 12pm, the shop assistant should already bee inside, lights turned on, ready to go. If the shop assistant is not there, who's to stop thieves from pinching stuff?
I said to her, "i'm waiting here patiently to pay for my goods, I'm not stealing anything", then there was a guy behind me so she changed her tone, and said, "I don't mean to be rude but we don't want people walking in without a shopkeeper", how was I supposed to know from outside without a sign saying, "DO NOT ENTER WITHOUT A SHOP ASSISTANT WELCOMING YOU AT THE DOOR", I don't know there is no one inside until I walk up to the counter.
She said she didn't mean to be rude and didn't want me to get in trouble while talking to me rudely and in a manner I felt I was already in trouble.
Train your staff in some manners, just because you have a monopoly on Islamic goods doesn't mean you get to treat customers poorly.
Drove past, it made me happy, haven't been in for years but. I socialise Islam on Islamic socialitiey to figures that seem vague to me.
All you need for youth moslem is here.
Sport, restaurant, islamic book shop and mosque/big prayer hall.
Good for hangout
Great community north of Melbourne. The bookshop has a great variety of material on a wide range of topics. There's a restaurant next door that has a decent menu also.
Nice place for eatings and lots of islamic books as well as a big mosque for prayer for both ladies and gents
Excellent facilities. Friendly people. Always bustling with activities for all ages.
The restaurant next door is a nice touch. Perfect environment for a catch up.
