Such an amazing shop full of wonderful old things. Staff were very friendly and helpful, I'll definitely be back.

They had a job to demolish a house next to ours, however, they did not inform us or give any warnings in regards to parking the car elsewhere in case damages may occur.whilst they all parked their cars at the end of the street. As a result of this, a tile or some object has fallen onto our car and caused a huge dent. We called the company who provided us with another number to call. We also wrote a message to that number, which was read, but not responded to. From then they have refused to pick up any of our numerous calls even though one of their workers did say that it did appear like a brick or tile fell onto the car and to call their office.

This is extremely disgraceful and unprofessional as a big company and I find this extraordinarily unacceptable as we’re all students and having to repair such a big dent on the car would be quite costly. It is also such a disappointment that they avoided picking up any calls by us as well as the insurance company which resulted in us having to pay for the damages as they could not contact this company. Additionally, this company has also left bits of shattered glass all over our driveway as well as nails and other bits, making it dangerous for not only the people living here but also our household dog to run around.

So, if you’re hiring this company, please be mindful of your neighbours as our car was damaged and the neighbour on the other side still has a wooden piece on their roof.

Not a good company to deal with. They got the neighbours really upset when they damaged their property. Workers were rude. Anyone can make a mistake but they don't apear to understand how to fix things without a problem escalating. I would beware of them.

We used Hughes Demolition to demolish our first ever house just last week (Feb 2016)! Being a first time home owner I had no idea of the process to undertake to get a house demolished. The staff at Hughes were fantastic with the whole process and explained every step along the way. The block looks great and it well and truly met budget. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone looking to demolish

We got Hughes to demolish a house in 2007, all appeared to be good and a new house was built on the land.a few years later while excavating for deck footings and a small cellar we were amazed at how much rubble and brick was in the ground, it was as if there was a layer of rubble covered with a layer of dirt, it was everywhere and obviously concealed. I could not dig a single hole without hitting rubble and pulling out bricks and concrete. After all the back breaking manual excavations we arranged to have the pile of dirt and rubble removed but asbestos was found in the rubble so it could not be touched, it will now cost $1500 per cubic metre to remove. I called Hughes to see if they could help but the reply was they can't be held responsible for a job done 7 years ago.
Nice going Hughes, you took our money, left tons of crap behind and probably put asbestos fibres in my lungs. But at least you got your money, that's the main thing, I mean really who cares if your customers die from mesothelioma.

Hired Hughes Demolition to demolish house in Ascot Vale.
1) They were several days late in completing the job
2) They broke a window of shed on the propery and refused to repair it
3) Quite a lot of rocks and concrete was left on the surface of the property
I could not recomend this company - they lack integrity. Beware!
